I work 10-12 hour days plus a bit on weekends for my small business run out of my home...And not all during normal business hours!
I
think you can get homes rezoned for business/residential, but it has to be two separate units (and mine is, we're not renting it out anymore and will be remodeling for an office). I think it makes sense that it's all based on zoning. I imagine that would be relatively easy to stay up-to-date on for the automated system on FedEx.
Anyway...This is a BOI thread about SYR/UPS,
not FedEx. It would probably be advisable to stay on that topic rather then trying to deflect attention from SYR's practices.
For UPS in particular, I have an interesting tidbit of information others might find useful..."OUT FOR DELIVERY" on your UPS tracking doesn't necessarily mean your package is
actually out for delivery...It's an automated computer note. They won't know where your package is if it's miss-routed until it's scanned again that evening or following morning where it ended up.

Basically I had a package that was supposed to be delivered Monday that didn't arrive when my driver did even though it was "OUT FOR DELIVERY" and then yesterday I get an identical tracking message that it's "OUT FOR DELIVERY" in
New York! I call UPS and they explain to me that the messages are automated by the computer system and don't actually mean your package is on a delivery truck!

So now I won't get my package until tomorrow. No live animals, just print materials...But it still annoyed me being three days late.
