    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Picture that was ORGINAlLY posted in his for sale add! Compare those 2 pics and the picture I posted of the animal. Those are what you need to really be looking at.

The emailed picture can’t really come into play becuase I had never seen the animal (since I hadn’t yet received) All I had to go off was the pictures posted.l in for sale add. I look specifically at the chevrons on the back
 
Mhenry no offense to you but I have no clue who you are and the fact you been doing “this” for thirty years means nothing to me? Explain this? Jumping in on BOi breads? Or helping or more meaningful would be to here you’ve been working with Lewisi specifically for 30 years.

Because I’ve been all about lizards since I was ehh 5 years old and have caught undoubtedly thousands of lizards. My passion for e last 6 years has been only lewisi ! Only

This is my female 2016 from pat brown and her chevrons are the same (perfectly alligened ) I’ve had here since she was 2 months old and seen pictures every other week from pat for those 2 months. Her pattern has not changed especially chevrons non of my lewisi have... maybe spots disappear or enlarge but chevrons on all my yearlings haven’t changed especially after fedex overnight shipping ha

Now this emailed picture I DID RECEIVE before he shipped but it’s blurry and that’s why u requested more, the emailed picture here in the cage does I will admit look like the lewisi I received days later BUT isn’t that called bait and switch?? done here and there on fauna )at least I’ve seen in the past years)... and remember I didn’t have the iggy yet so I was really basing my knowledge off the 2 more viable clear pictures on his for sale add.

If he did intentionally send me a picture via email of the lizard I got but posted DIFFERENT on fauna that’s BAIT and SWITCH.

I sent John 900$ in good faith and didn’t receive what I paid for Insomniacs101

Don’t try and flip this like every one else. And I didn’t come here to bash anyone. TYjohn started the thread. I was over the whole back and forth long ago man. We emailed back and forth to no resolve. Christmas and New Years with family and I would have got back to tyjohn just as I’m sure he would have got back to me after the holidays and our temperament was better and I would have told him to screw off and sent him his 100$ back. Now the ONLY reason I’m here like I’ve said is to defend myself because tyjohn decide to put all my PERSONAL info out and BASH me “BAD GUY KAMeRON”
 
I starting breeding Lewisi in the 90’s. The attached picture is for proof. I’ve been around a bunch of them. Like I stated earlier, I believe that you received the Lewisi that you paid for.

I hope plenty of future buyers and sellers read this thread to get an idea of how they might be treated if they deal with you.
And of course prospective employers often google applicant's names. They will see how you handle issues. I doubt they will want behavior like yours in their company.
 
kw18, keep the animal and send back the $100 or send the animal back and get your refund. Its pretty simple. You did not get "Ripped"

That certainly doesn't smell right. If you had a previous deal with this seller and you didn't trust him, you would be silly to complete another transaction with him.
Nope, it has to either be buyer's remorse, or you have a serious case of the gimmies and are trying to keep the critter and get money back too.
 
This really boils down to whether this is the same animal. Kameron thinks it is not, but some other experienced people do not agree and based on the pictures posted, think it looks like the same animal. So at best, it doesn't seem like there is any solid evidence (despite Kameron's being sure).

Kameron, you are acting hysterical and trying to act like you've been victimized. You have the iguana, a promised refund, and another $100 from the sounds of it. Not everyone on the BOI is going to agree with you, and so far you seem to attack anyone who posts something that you don't agree with. You seem like a very difficult person to deal with. A lot of sellers would not agree to any refund, and you are making this more difficult for the seller who really does seem to be trying to work with you.

The refund is very much the issue at hand. Since you've said that you don't want to return the iguana, then you need to give the man his money and go on about your life. I mean, I wouldn't think $100 would be hard to come up with for a big iguana baller like yourself. Either ship the iguana back or send the money back. You don't get to keep both and then continue to whine about being the victim. Also, the majority has very much spoken, you are simply not agreeing with them.
 
For a person who feels their integrity is being called into question... I will say this. I have no question about his integrity, for he has none. The E-Mail where he told the OP that he would just issue a charge back and keep the Animal and get the money back says everything to me about his lack of integrity.

Do you even want this iguana? If you don't want it but are keeping it to neglect then you're just adding on to the animal-human problems we have today. He sent you $100 from his own pocket to pay your shipping to him. This is just one of those things that you guys are both on defensive. You gotta realize that both of you could take this up higher on chain of command, but you're the one with the iguana and I think.aybe you should ship it. If he doesn't refund then he'll be the one stealing. But if you're just going to tuck that $100 in your pocket instead of sending it back if you're going back on your deal then I think you're the one stealing. Send him the iguana. We gotta remember that, yeah it's a expensive deal, but the iguana's safety of self and others should be in our minds as well.

If he refunds you $800 and you don't ship the iguana then he'll be pretty much be giving you a free iguana (hence stealing). If he sends one side of the table abd you send the other then he can give you the rest of the payment. We'll be here and we can see everything working through. If you say you don't want the iguana then send it back and show us evidence. Then John sends us evidence that shows he got it, and if he didn't then his solution to it. And after that the evidence on him sending the money and you getting it. Y'all need to sort this out lol

He kind of did get the shit end of a stick, he's losing his prized and only iguana. And you don't Want the iguana, if you say you're concerned about it and your kids than it would be best as a father to ship it back no? Rather to throw it in the streets or neglect it which can be taken for animal abuse
