Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Apparently she was stealing animals from vendors at the NARBC Show and got caught with the goods and tried playing that she was the victim. :roll eyes:

I saw that thread. Absolutely horrible to do that to someone, but to do it to THREE people at the same time? Come on, now!...No offense, when I saw that pic my first reaction was "Oh my GOD! She is one fat lady!!!"

...I was hoping that her picture being posted wouldn't bring out the ugliness in otherwise good people. As usual, I was wrong, and my distrust in human maturity has been restored. What she did was awful and will NOT be tolerated, but her weight has nothing to do with it. Let's at least try to remain focused. She is, well, was a friend of mine, and words can't express how nauseated I am by this. Jeez.

You want to talk about those types of things, take it somewhere of the BOI.
 
I personally didn't know that was a real picture of her. I did find it humorous and it was very immature on my behalf. I do remember how she was trying to blame people taking advantage of her because of her disability and being in the "scooter"... but that is all irrelevant and off topic and I appologize.

It is a shame she went to the level she did to steal from others for her own personal gain. Glad she was caught and hopefully she learned a valuable lesson that the herp community sticks together and thankfully everyone got their geckos back.
 
You know, that is just WRONG. I'm sure we have been to an expo where we saw an animal and thought, "I wonder how easy it would be to just grab it and get away with it..." but thinking about taking something and actually doing it are completely different things. I myself would much rather try and talk them down on the price, and if it doesn't work then I wasn't meant to have the animal. This sickens me!

I don't know much of anything about her, but why exactly does she need the scooter?
I could play the "I'm young and poor and need to get reptiles for cheap" card but just because I don't have a lot of money doesn't mean I should get special treatment....

I understand your logic on thinking is different than doing but to say we have thought that is a bit odd to me.

Anyway, hopefully she learned a good lesson.

didn't mean anything by it. My grandmother could actually beat her by a couple hundred pounds. lol Just a shocked reaction. Maybe it should have been, "dang that one big girl!" might have sounded nicer.

And I am NOT a mean person. :)

On topic though, it was AWFUL of her to steal from people like that. :(

Yeah, I definitely haven't thought of doing that either. Theft is not my first instinct. Indeed, a false generalization (hopefully)

...I don't think I understand the last thought in your post. First of all, it doesn't matter why she needs the scooter, that's not our problem. From what I understand, it's to make up for severely limited mobility, but don't quote me on that because I'm not 100% sure (Kathy hasn't answered my e-mails) - if she used the need for a scooter as a means of trying to garner sympathy, that's foul and rancid, and karma will do it's job, but assuming that she doesn't actually need it at all is mildly twisted - - secondly, don't worry, I doubt anyone will give you special treatment for spouting off that your poor and can't afford their animals. ;)

I e-mailed her to tell her that this thread was started, but I doubt she's going to respond.

Still sad.

Correct.

Charges cannot be pressed without someone having seen her remove the animals from the table. The security system is new and the operator for said security system is still learning the system, so it is taking a little longer than what people want.

Hopefully, in time, the footage will be found and she will be arrested.
