When Steve posted the picture of his Harrison Document, the first thing that came to my mind was it looks just like a Bearded Pets Document. When I received my Docs. I thought yep, looks just like a bearded pets document. Then there was a post on Kingsnake from someone that had Bearded Pets docs and she sent them to a freind of my who says the picture was to bad to compare, but they are similar. Now it appears that these snakes are shipping out of GA in the same area that Bearded Pets is. And to top it off the guy from bearded pets said that it was a family business and he had family in NC and Florida. Harrison supposedly moved from NC to Florida.

I may be paranoid or connecting too many dots. But I count me in for any legal action!

does anyone know where Harrison lived in NC. I think someone had said once he lived in or near winston salem which isnt too far from me. I can see if there are any records of a Harrison ever being there. Who was the guy from the other thread about Katie who said he lived near him in NC. Anyone find out his story?

"Harrison" if indeed one exists has no relationship with you or with Tosha (unless Katie = Harrison) so Harrison would not be punished in any way with respect to your transaction. Katie, if she exists, may or may not be legally culpable.

Either way you have been had, sadly. Tosha's situation, as I recall, is different. She was sold the animals at the price for "normals" or close to it on the assumption that the claims made originally in the the "Harrison" documents may be false. Given that Tosha knew that at the time of the purchase (and that is all spelled out here in the other thread as I recall) she has no claim of any consequence, civil or criminal.

She guaranteed they were properly sexed and feeding and they aren't so unless she wants to make good on her guarantee then yes, I will be filing charges against her. Also she swears that she saw the actual Morph fathers and she swears that they are the ones that are on the documents. Well do these look like they are Morphs. In other words she has lied and missrepresented the snakes and unless I hear back from her she is also renegging on a guarantee.

Are you now saying they are not feeding or that they are not females? If so that is a claim you have not previously made here in this thread or the other. And if they are mis-sexed all you are out is the cost of normale females + $10 each. You went into the situation with your eyes open. Actually. If you got hurt you really have little to gripe about. You knew they were not hets and bought them as such. You knew her entire story was fishy. Steve didn't know better. You should have. JMHO.

OK Tosha, so as I understand it your little tantrum about the genetics and the doctored paperwork is moot. So now you are saying that none of the snakes have fed and none of the snakes are females? I find it interesting that this comes out at the moment when your tirade about the paperwork is challenged with your own words, but even if it is so, you made that post on 4/7 and received the snakes on 4/14, Being that was only 8 days ago I am not surprised than none of them have fed. They are Ball Pythons after all. Many won't feed for several weeks or even months after being shipped. Eight days is hardly a fair amount of time for Ball Pythons to be deemed "not feeding".

So now we are left with the genders. You make this claim tonight right after being confronted with your own words about the genetics. Coincidence? Maybe. It really does not matter at all to me. I am of the opinion that a sex guarantee should not be significantly time limited. This subject came up recently in another thread here and I was in the minority. Most members who posted felt that a snake should be sexed immediately upon receipt or at least within the first day or two. After that, it's your snake. As I said, I am in the minority on this but I would take a mis-sexed snake back.

Tosha, my question is "What were you thinking?" buying these animals from someone like Katie. Are you really surprised in the least? I'm not.

It appears to me, and I could be incorrect, that in these forumns people look for anything to attack for.

Remember the Target is Katie, and I thought, perhaps stupidly, that these formuns were here to help each other not tear them down.

Perhaps you only are chastising her in a friendly manner to be helpfull.. It does not come accross that way.

Actually, I think it was Tosha who was "piling on" and not being fair. No matter what we may think of Katie, Tosha's gripe has little merit. She started a thread inquiring about her and got more than enough information to know better than to buy from her. Despite that she does just that and then comes in and whines about the genetics which she knew from the get go were bogus.

I am asking for fairness. People like you who have been wronged by Katie or whoever she is have a legitimate gripe. Tosha does not. And for her to claim then that she wants money back because her Ball Pythons haven't fed in just over a week is ludicrous. She knows that. Anyone who has ever kept Ball Pythons knows that.

I have no problems with bad guys getting what they deserve here. But do it fairly. If not then the compaint has no merit and speaks to character. Tosha's complaints, unlike yours, have little merit in my opinion. Again, she should have known better. She opened the other thread and made one of the last posts. I cannot imagine that she did not read what was in-between them. For her to have expected a good transaction was naive at best.

You obviously haven't had any dealings or expereince with either party or knowledge of anything of relevance, so what good are you doing? There are people out there that have lost a bit of money and the information from those of us with actual transactions is whats going to help them get their money back, if possible, not someones stupid petty remarks. Am I supposed to feel hurt by your words? Cause - I aint.

Yes I knew what I was getting into I actually baited Katie into it expecting the worst. Now her fraud has been exposed and if she really is what she says she is she'll refund my money, Steves money and the three other people that emailed me and said she screwed them over too. If not I'll file the appropriate complaints and give whatever information I can to all those out there that have lost money to these people so they can be stopped.

The way the only reason why I posted the issue about the paperwork is because she still insists they are hets, and to point out that she claims that she saw the Morph parents when clearly there are not. Clearly she is lying it goes to show her character. Also points to the possiblity that Harrison and Katie are in fact working together. This is not some "tantrum", this is information for everyone out there that bought from Harrison and Katie they need this information to prosecute and the more people that do it the better chance these people will stop.

Probably best if you don't have a personal involvement to keep your 2 cents to yourself.
 
Oh and about the feeding issue

a bunch of 45 gram fresh hatchlings just going trough their first shed aren't "feeding regularly on f/t"

I'm well aware of ball pythons feeding habits I've been rasing them for 25 years.

I just don't tolerate baloney all that well. Your story has evolved almost as much as Katie's. First you were upset about the genetics. Then the feeding and the sex. Now the size too! Whoa! Make up your mind.

As for my input, it is opinion. My opinion of your gripes is that it is sour grapes after realizing that got exactly what you expected, the worst (your own words). Actually, you expected the worst and got live snakes so maybe you did better than expected. Or now are they dead too? Is there no irony in the fact that you expected the worst and now you're complaining about it?

Show me anywhere where my story evolved. I'm confused as to where you think my story may have evolved? I stated that the snakes are were not as katie represented to me (and the others thatpurchased from her). They are not, my story has not changed at all.

As I have a guarantee from Katie that they are feeding females, if she does not make good on her guarantee then I have every right to be upset, if I want to be, it doesn't matter if it's a $10 snake or a $10,000 snake.

Again, what is your involvement with this thread? What pertinent information do you have to offer? Oh thats right, all you've got is belittlement and cynisism, don't think that will help anyone.

This is whats wrong with the BOI

It seems to me like too many threads end up doing a 180 from the original topic and involve accusations being thrown around like a hot pototo. In this case: Tosha, you have every right to be pissed about not getting what you paid for. However, I see Jims point. There were so many red flags before your transaction that you can hardly be surprised at the outcome. I think you thought Katie actually got the raw end of a deal with Harrison. If so, she just had to work a little harder to get you to fall for her scam. That said, it doesnt make your claim any less valid. You still got screwed. Jim, like I said I see your point, but I think you are being a little more harsh than the situation calls for. Lets just focus on Katie and Harrison. By the way, who was the guy who posted saying he lived next door to Harrison in the other thread. Anybody know?
