Katie Richardson, Extraordinary Reptiles BEWARE

My ½ cent is nothing wrong with the BOI at all. We are all human with different personalities and quirks.

What is most important is that we are discussing the issue. If all of us would have this conversation in person over several days it would get side tracked a little as well. Observations by individuals are very important. We are basically providing experiences for future buyers and sellers.

My personal opinion has always been that Katie was not Katie. I also firmly believe that she/he/it/them have posted on this forum before.

Jim, I of course would not have spent a dime with this low life but it was Tosha’s choice for whatever reason.
It is also ok for us to point out that it was stupid.

Steve, regardless of the amount I would never buy anything on-line from anyone without a minimum check of some sort. 3,500 or 5 bucks would not matter but it was your choice. We’ll maybe not five dollars.
The point is you were scammed and deserves restitution and anyone that reads this thread that is new will know to deal with individuals with a good track record. Like you know now.

Regardless of the reasons leading up to both of these transactions we should help put this person out of business permanently.

Now let’s find Katie and put her were she belongs.

It seems to me like too many threads end up doing a 180 from the original topic and involve accusations being thrown around like a hot pototo.

EP Forehand

The BOI is of value for the very reason that it allows a crucible of questions from which the truth is distilled. It is not for the shy of heart; yet when the day is done a review of the BOI will show that many scammers in the hobby have been caught and exposed here.

While there is no call for outright rudeness, no one should criticize those who step up to the plate and ask their questions. One ought not be forestalled from the search for the truth merely because the questions call different facets of a deal into scrutiny.

This is not a suburban debate society where we must conform to rules of speaking and stay on one prescribed topic, and then have cookies and milk and go home.

This is an arena where the truth is sought; the BOI process has caught in the past those who prey on the industry, and has helped people who have lost money to those who scam.

Most important, by the process of question and answer, it allows the others in the community to decide for themselves who to trust with their future purchases.

What a circus !!! I like how people can't figure out that when they post a pile of diatribe, they get upset when everyone doesn't agree with them, then race around saying "stop attacking me" !! LOL...
Caveat emptor.

Lets get back to the problem here and that is Katie ripping off me for $1500 and others and maybe what we need to do is find out who is willing to go in with me as far as taking her to civil court down there? It way be a waste but if a judgement can be rendered against her and she ever files taxes we might and I stress might be able to get somewhere.

Obviously she has no intent on fixing any of this with anyone and we need to make a point. I am having the papers sent to me on what i need to do to file a civil suit against her as well as following up with the authorities to whatever extent i need to.

Everyone is hot right now and we all need to direct our anger at Katie and get her to pay by one way or another.

Thanks

Yeah I got screwed too

Well it would appear that Katie got me too. Only for $150.00 though. Sorry about you others that she really ripped off. I also read the whole thing and I thought Katie was the victim. I saw where other people were getting their animals and all seemed well. I decided to purchase 1.1 het albino's. They were to be a reward for my son for a good report card. That's the part that irritates me, I told her that and she still ripped me off. I told her to hold off on shipping so he could get a set-up ready. She said no problem. Come time to ship I can't get ahold of Katie and then this thread pops up and I understand why. Now, I realized all along that they may or may not be hets. My son would have loved them either way. The possibility of them being hets was just a bonus. Since everything else appears to have been lies maybe it's best that she didn't send me anything. I'd rather get nothing than have her send me imports. Anyway as I've said I only paid $150.00 and I'll survive. It's certainly not enough to deter me from on-line purchases. -Chris Ahrens

Fine, say it better than me.

Agreed

Thank you Dennis and Lucille.

I agree that being ripped off for $10 is every bit as much a "bad" thing as being ripped off for $3500 or for $900 (as I was by a since outed--by me-- BOI Bad Guy). There is no dollar limit on that.

But let's be reasonable, please. And fair. I'm sorry that Tosha feels ripped off and I'm sorry Tosha didn't get what Tosha thought that Tosha should have gotten. But wait, Tosha got what she expected, and exactly what she deserved. After all, in Tosha's own words:

Yes I knew what I was getting into I actually baited Katie into it expecting the worst.
Tosha baited Katie and was expecting the worst. Tosha got what Tosha expected after BAITING a bad guy. In essence Tosha begged Katie to rip Tosha off and Tosha got exactly that.

Tosha's complaints remind me of a little story from 1837 by Hans Christian Andersen called The Emperor's New Clothes:

It is the story of the Ruler of a distant land who was so enamored of his appearance and his clothing that he had a different suit for every hour of the day.

One day two rogues arrived in town, claiming to be gifted weavers. They convinced the Emperor that they could weave the most wonderful cloth, which had a magical property. The clothes were only visible to those who were completely pure in heart and spirit.

The Emperor was impressed and ordered the weavers to begin work immediately. The rogues, who had a deep understanding of human nature, began to feign work on empty looms.

Minister after minister went to view the new clothes and all came back exhorting the beauty of the cloth on the looms even though none of them could see a thing.

Finally a grand procession was planned for the Emperor to display his new finery. The Emperor went to view his clothes and was shocked to see absolutely nothing, but he pretended to admire the fabulous cloth, inspect the clothes with awe, and, after disrobing, go through the motions of carefully putting on a suit of the new garments.

Under a royal canopy the Emperor appeared to the admiring throng of his people - - all of whom cheered and clapped because they all knew the rogue weavers' tale and did not want to be seen as less than pure of heart.

But, the bubble burst when an innocent child loudly exclaimed, for the whole kingdom to hear, that the Emperor had nothing on at all. He had no clothes.
Maybe I'm the "innocent child" in that story, but the facts speak for themselves. Sorry Tosha, but the Emperor has no clothes.

Sorry, Cahrens about your situation. Seems we are finding more and more people that have been scammed. I do believe that there is another person that has posted a bad guy thread about Harrison on Reptile Bid that has not posted here.

You are totally correct. It is Tosha's fault. She knew of the danger. She was warned. She asked for the sale anyway. She was ripped off. It is Tosha's fault.

Just as if I were to warn my daughter that the new boy on the block is bad news. Stay away from him. My daughter likes the boy. She thinks he's cute. She puts on make-up and a pretty dress and leaves to meet him at a party. He drugs and rapes her. It is totally my daughter's fault. She knew of the danger. She was warned. She asked for the date. She was raped. It is my daughter's fault.

Now let us please get back to the point of this thread:

The fact that both the paperwork from Bearded Pets and Richard Harrison use the same obscure font...both list entire clutches...both are interestingly similar.

Did anyone else notice the picture of the "Pied" male? The color stops in an abrupt straight line. All that I have seen were aberrant in pattern.
Tosha made the point that those photos appear to be doctored. I agree. There were no morphs. Ever.

I'm guessing that "Katie" made the whole thing up. That "Harrison" is "Katie". That s/he bought a load of CH imports and set this thing in motion. And that s/he is now laughing all the way to the bank.

After all, I'm quite certain that if I had thousands of dollars in Ball Python morphs I'd take them out of their enclosures and have them in the back of my vehicle to show someone whom I had never met before in a shopping center parking lot.

And similarly, I would agree to meet someone and do a several thousand dollar deal as my introduction to the reptile business out of the back of his car.

It was all there from the beginning. Now who is really surprised?

Spanish Mackeral, Wes?

Spanish Mackeral it is, through and through.

tasha, it seems that you KNEW all along that this was most likely a bad person to deal with. Perhaps you were hoping, deep down inside where GREEDY tasha lives, that at least one of these would prove out. That would have made the whole thing worth while, all the crap and nonsense and THEN you could have come back and said "I told you so" but, alas, greed is BAD. NOW all you have are males, most likely imported this year.

Just because some here do NOT sympathize with you is NOT because they are not good people, they are. They simply did NOT give in to GREED the way you seem to have. YOU took the chance, KNOWING that katie/harrison LIED. YOU saw all the red flags and THEN went ahead with YOUR purchase. TOOOOOO bad for you. Put a pillow in your pants and take it like a man, figuratively speaking. Once the pummeling, deserved so far as I can see, is over, you'll find quite a few here on your side and willing to help you out. But STOP the damn whining.

Yes, this IS about katie/harrison. In ESSENSE. But it's also about the dimglows who DEALT with them, tasha, baited them, tasha, and were ROBBED by them, tasha.

Now whose FAULT are the above, tasha?

YOU took the bait. Get the hook removed from wherever it has lodged, most likely the seat of your pants, and get over it. Next time DON'T do the deal if you have ANY doubts at all.

Yep, I agree with Wes on this one...Tosh would have been more than happy to take advantage of a novice seller, it seems, but then it turned out that Tosh was the novice buyer, and now is super pissed...hey, I agree she should fix things here (Katie)...but I wouldn't hold my breath too long waiting for that to happen...
Which does suck.

Chris, I think I understand what you are saying and the comparison you are trying to make, but I would like to make the comment that too often, rape is seen as the woman's fault and most of the time it is not.

For the record

Let me make clear:

Yes, "Katie" did rip Tosha off if in fact she guaranteed feeding females and delivered hatchling males. No question about it. And "Katie" should make it right. I'm not going to hold my breath on that one though.

That all said, my point is that Tosha's situation and Steve's situation are not at all analagous. Steve did business with an unknown quantity. That was a risk but he gave "Katie" the benefit of the doubt. Hindsight is always 20/20. I have done the same thing. Most of the time I have gotten away with it. Once I did not. Live and learn.

Tosha, on the other hand, went into this with her eyes wide open, or should have. She thought she would "bait" a crook and the crook had her "baited" all along. Oh well, swallowed by a bigger fish. Perhaps it was greed, as Wes suggested. Perhaps it was an honorable desire to prove that "Katie" was indeed an honest "victim" also and come out looking like a hero. Who knows? Doesn't really matter. It happened. My only issue is that Tosha is whining about it. In the final analysis, Tosha bent over and asked to be screwed and is now complaining that "Katie" screwed her. Oh well.

Now this is getting to be Neil Gubitz's area of expertise. Should I pay his fine so he can come here with Wes? Just as long as it does not cost me as much as Wes's next fine!

OK............ Brought back by popular demand! You know him! You love him! The ayatollah of rock n' rolla! Mr. Neil Gubitz!!!!!

Oh Mighty Webslave! I am paypalling $45.00 for the fine and membership of one Neil Gubitz! Thanks Much.
