• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

That was a coy remark to rebut the fact that you are putting so much stock in the trader rating or lack of them for Wes. Not everyone uses them. Wes has done business with a great deal of people on this board. Wes has proven out a lot of bad guys as well. I have personally have had over a dozen transactions that I have with people that did not post a trader rating.

Using that alone is not wise. You look at the people who have been here and proven themselves over time and there are a great many threads here in the BOI about people who have zero trader ratings.

Point well taken. You are right. My apologies to Wes for insinuating that he was anything less than a good guy (as I said, I stand by my earlier affirmation to that effect despite the post in "Hell"). That was but one piece of data and gave a less than fair representation of the sum total of the information about him.

And my opinion about the links, well that is mine and mine alone. If others like them they are entitled to that too. As I said, I would not have brought it up had you not mentioned how you do it for others but wouldn't for me. That was also a mistake. I should have let it lie.
 
Truly, we may get mad or disagree with one another but the fact still remains that none of us posting are "Bad Guys". The party that needs to explain themselves has not and to get to the truth sometimes takes twist and turns. But the fact that the B.P.'s in question will not be sold for anything but normal is the most important point. I

In fairness to Katie she did register on Fauna on the 20th and was on the sight today, oops I mean yesterday now. Maybe she did not know what to do in order to post.

This is a pefect example of my point. Go against the tide here in any way and all of a sudden you are the "bad guy" being posted about.

I did not deal with Katie. I never met Katie. I could bump into Katie inside a closet and I wouldn't be able to identify her. I tried to clarify a misconception about using USPS Money Orders or not and now I am the one who KNOWS Katie and is identified with her. I never even defended her actions. I posted a copy of here reptibid listing and a screenshot of part of it.

Does anyone else see the irony in this?

Other than the one perhaps who continually becomes identified with the so-called real bad guys simply by trying to be fair minded. Read my previous post and you will see that I have now been identified with Katie. And even you accused me of coming in and defending Jim S when I did no such thing.

This forum sometimes takes on a mob mentality and becomes an "either your with us or you're 'agin' us" situation. You may not agree with that but that has been my experience. Seems everyone's take home message from the last interaction was that I was there to defend Jim S when, if you read ALL of my posts you will see, I did not. Same thing here, but now I am the one who should contact Katie because I am the one who threw a tire iron into the bandwagon's wheel.
 
Talk about some muddy waters ! I read her take on things, I have read all the resulting finger pointing...but nothing seems all that clear. ????
So, were the snakes being sold in bad faith? Everytime I hear the word "het" I get nervous.

I did have communication with Katie today through email. She explained the problem she was having with posting. Hopefully she will have this resolved shortly. And yes I did it. I did give her a link to WebSlaves email address.
 
Wow, what a mess. I hope this can get cleared up soon. One of my customers contacted me about a purchase from Raymond Harrison. They said they purchased a 100% het female (500 grams) from him for $330 shipped. Warning flags are written all over that. But they mentioned something about being shipped the wrong package. I asked them to post their experience on the BOI so hopefully they will.
 
I'm curious, was the winner, by chance, someone who won for the FIRST time ever or, by an even BIGGER chance, someone with whom she has done business prior to this particular transaction?

Inquiring minds, or mine at least, want to know.

Dennis/Wes,

Think you might be a bit out of line in this case? It seems to be that if people don't agree with you, you go on the attack. I dont think how long someone has been a member of Fauna really represents what kind of person they are (as evidenced by Wes) or what level of knowledge they have in the reptile world. Why don't we wait until Katie comes here to defend herself. It seems like a fairly reasonable story (or one hell of an imagination).
