    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What are sub adult Carmel Ball pythons going for on the open market? Compared to the program you were to ship to him for this trade? Sounds like a "to good of a deal" to begin with.

I can tell you right now that at the very least, the second half of that statement is mistaken...

This is the second thread (That I know of) about this individuals sketchy business practices and offers, the first one I I personally made him aware of after I replied to it...

I gave him the URL both via e-mail and in the chat room discussed on that thread, he read the post and called me a jerk (although not as politely) for interfering in his transactions, despite the fact that I stated I didn't see how anything could go wrong if he was made to deliver first and everything was agreed upon well in advance... I don't recall seeing any conclusion to that thread (At least not involving HIM), although he told me that he had designed the website and recceived the snakes... and then refused to tell me the URL for what he had designed.

There are a few instances in that thread of his willingness to lie and attempt really poorly thought out manipulation of truth, including an account that states he sent stolen pictures of Tremper albinos claiming he would trade the animals in question...

Since I personally told him about this website (unfortunately AOl doesn't save sent mail for very long, I have it set to the longest possible, but they limit your allowed mailbox space and delete things on you), I can tell you right now that he's doing nothing more than lying about not knowing of it's existance, he had been quoting it when he was ranting about what a cruel, evil person I was to tell someone what my impressions were.

Just more evidence... Has anyone called his parents yet?

Its very sad that it took the demise of 2 snakes to see the way this guy operates. I know I will never consider any transactions with this character.

Im glad I read this after webslave started the warnings, as I would have gotten a few if I said what was on my mind about this young man.

After reading about this, I would not let this guy set up a tent for me, let alone a webstie or any trades.

Age/ID check might be a good idea

Sad as it may be, when/if I do business with someone who sounds young/acts young/writes like they are still in High School, I will definatly get a copy of their Drivers License and a pic of THEM next to the snake I am buying. It is also dangerous doing business with a MINOR. I do not think they can be held liable for any business they do before age 18.

A few quick questions

1. What was the deal? 2 Xanthic bp for a $76 video card?! IF this is the case, that should have raised a HUGE frickin flag since the going market for carmel bp is around $14000 EACH.

2. Are you going to report this to the authorities? This kid should learn his lesson and get much more then a slap on the wrist.

I'm glad you didn't get scammed out of any $$$. I also feel bad that 2 balls had to die because of this scum.

Red Flags!!!!!

Yes.. the Red Flags were Flying High and Out of Control but since I had Complete and Total Control of the Situation I figured I'd give it a Shot.. If I had Received two Normal Live Ball Pythons then I would have posted here as a Warning None the Less... The Reason that I did business with him is Because he seemed sincere and I did Not have Anything to Lose!!!!

I am calling his Mother or Father tomorrow to discuss this and let them know what their Son is up to... He is 17 Years old and If they don't rectify the situation and Stop him from trying this again then I will get the Authorities involved... Otherwise.. I didn't lose anything so I didn't think about the authorities until it was mentioned here in the thread but now that I have read that I am going to see what comes of this whole deal! Thanks again everyone that has responded!!

Results from the Phone Call!

Well.. I called his house and His Parents were out!! HMMMM that's strange because in one of the conversations I had with him... His Mother is Recovering from Cancer and doesn't leave the house!!!!! Seems strange... I also got info that he himself had a Broken Knee from another source!! I would appreciate it if someone else would be kind enough to call his house and see if you can get a hold on one of his parents.. If you are willing to do so... I just read Seamus reply to this thread. In it he stated that Kcann85 did do my website??? Well, again that is one of his lies. He has and will never do my website and none of my snakes were ever sent to him.

I have a close friend of mine is doing it for me.

I just wanted to clear that lie up.

They suffered a long and miserable death while this little punk tried to rip you off! You forgive this kind of behaviour? That is where you and I differ.....

Latest Conversation and confession

THis is the Latest Conversation that we had this Evening.. Thought I'd Post it on here and let people know that everything he tells anyone is a total Lie!! I'm not speaking to him anymore and hope that noone else does either!!! I'm still pissed about the Two Ball Pythons and have told him that if he even thinks of selling or trading any Reptiles I will let the Authorities in his area know and get him on Animal Cruelty and Fraud. I hope it doesn't have to come down to this but I am prepared seeing as I have everything documented and ready for anything that he might say or do.

Could someone explain to me the legal ins and outs of dealing with a minor...Technically any sort of "deal" you make with them isn't worth squat because being a minor they are not held legally responsible due to their age...is this true?...false???...I'm not slammin' the younger herpers on here and out there in any way but if they are not responsible for any transactions they make why would you (me) go thru the risk of dealing with them?...It just seems to me it wouldn't be worth it and would really pose a "disaster in the wings" if something does go wrong...

The legal "ins and outs" vary from State to State. If you are in one and the buyer (minor) in another, you might have two sets of State laws with which to contend!

In Missouri, it is my understanding that a minor less than 18 years old cannot enter into a binding contract without parental involvement. Because that is where I live, and I have no desire to try and file any possible legal claims in another State, I simply never do business with ANYONE under the age of 18. If a younger person wants to buy something from me, I have them get me into contact with their parents, and I sell it to the parents. If they want to give their new purchase to the kid, that's fine by me. I'm covered.

Hope that helps your perspective a bit.
 
Thanks Darin, its sounds like its pretty much the same state to state, with minor technicalities...I would still be leery of them unless I could at least talk to their parents i.e. via the phone, webcam, meeting etc...I guess its definately a CYA situation

After now just reading this thread for the first time, I wish I would have earlier[ got new wheels on my Blazor] Would have been neet to see the looks on his parents faces. WE are all libel for our children
In any event two animals were lost to a deception and the true victims were the balls[pythons;) ]
