    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

That is true, not many people would have known a thing about this until FAUNA brought it out. And posting links to the other site is only fanning the flames and, IMO, a childish way of saying ohhh...loook what they are saying now....You know what, if I want to know I'll log in and look...WHO CARES stop feeding on it. Let Rich and Kelli work this out or not, but stop contributing to the fire.
 
If Rich and Kelli are going to sit down and talk I fail to see how any of that lends a helping hand to the situation.

I’m going to make an honest suggestion and I by know means do I mean to be antagonistic.

If truly, you feel this way, I would make a suggestion

If I disagreed with the way any site was administered but I enjoyed the people who I interact with and still felt that the site was useful and worthy of still contributing to, I wouldn’t take the opportunity at every opening to disagree with the administration of the site. It doesn’t make any sense. There is no one issues that any of us are going too completely agree on. Granted this issue over the banning isn’t an everyday issue and is more important to some over other issues.
Also most of those posts are by the same 10 people over n over agreeing with you and bashing anyone with a different opinion.

If I go back through the posts no matter the topic it is also the same ten that take the opportunity to tell Rich and any supporters of whatever particular issue it happens to be that his choices were awful.

Excellent point, Dennis. There are definitely certain people on this site who can be counted on to jump in with both feet whenever there is a WebSlave or site bashing taking place.

For example the latest one posted with the multiple out of context snippets. I would have been absolutely SHOCKED if she hadn't jumped in on this thread to take yet another pot shot at me. Hope the time you took digging up those quotes was a productive time for you..... You have to wonder at the incentive behind getting someone to expend that kind of effort just to bash me....... :rofl:

Honestly, how many other webmasters would put up with this for as long as I have? Am I truly crazy as was insinuated in a prior post? I certainly don't HAVE to put up with it, so why do I? Maybe I just need to change my ways.... :reddevil:
 
Look people it is pretty simple. If Rich has a talk with Kelli and they work things out that is a great step in the right direction. Another step in the right direction would be if you don't like a site's administration leave and find another site you do like. Either that or quit rocking the boat at every turn. Can't get much more simple than that.

Time to bury the hatchet people and move the hell on. More important issues at hand if you haven't noticed.

Quite honestly, Brian, if I had made up a list a year or so ago of the people I felt there was NO chance at all that would be on civil speaking terms with me EVER again, you would have been right there at the top. When I got that email from you that was a pleasant conversational tone, I was really pissed because I had to get that damned flame retardant underwear off that I donned all for nothing before opening the email. :rofl:

I have had my criticism of Dr. Owens on how he has addressed people in the past and had been vocal about. In this thread I have seen a different side of Dr. Owens. You used to be dergatory and snide with members when they didn't agree. I haven't seen that at all in this thread. I guess I'm saying Kudos Dr. Owens (not that it matters coming from me) I appauld your trying to mediate and treating everyone with respect.
 
And then we have Karen adding her antagonistic $1.02. Not too surprising, as she was one of the individuals I had made inference to in my first post.

Karen, it takes a good deal of audacity for you, of all people, to accuse someone of being antagonistic or petty.

Unfortunately, there's a handful of individuals that thrive on conflict and creating rifts between people. Even now, as I read your posts both here and there, I can see you bring nothing constructive to the table, and are intent merely on fanning the fire.
 
With all this "kiss and make-up" talk, there is still an angle of this that I hope is not lost on the "can't we all just get along" crowd. A while back, the greater Fauna community was asked to contribute to someone in a time of terrible personal loss and financial need. It responded well. That a couple of individuals may have tarnished what they touched of it is not reflective of the much greater body of good that came of it, by the greater body of Fauna membership. Some feelings were hurt of late, again involving a misunderstanding it would seem, but even if not a misunderstanding, still entailing the communications of couple of specific entities at best. What is the response, besides going with their own site which many of us have no problem with? One of the first actions is to open, post in, and encourage a thread in the new site so that members of the Fauna community can be bashed, and get a flame war going. And if they thought it to have been hidden, only to then realize its open to the world, then delete it, and show some class. No such wisdom. I do not think that those who described it earlier as a "knife in the back" were far off the mark. The Fauna community deserves better, especially from Kelli. The only thing unfortunate about her being banned is that she cannot respond here, but I am for the ban being allowed to stand.

This thread will calm down Sammy. Whether or not Kelli wants to continue her chosen course remains to be seen. Its her choice to invite all the Jerry-Springer-wannabees, many of whom had a difficult time with being civil here, and have a party. I am no fan of the HELL forum here, and have said so many times. At least its access is restricted. But if Rich were to make it wide-open again, and encourage a thread to bash ex-Fauna members now residing in Kelli's forum or elsewhere, more than a few of us would come down on him as hard as we possibly could, and Rich would surely lose good people from this site.

You just don't get it...do you? The thread isn't being left up to rub it in someone else's nose...it's being left up because there is still plently that needs to be hashed out and talked about. Have no fear...it will be deleted when the real site is ready.

I wonder why you and others have any doubt that it was suppose to be private. These people didn't change into two-headed monsters overnight...they are still the same people they always were, meaning they are STILL good people. The "gecko gods" are only human, why is that surprising?

Had they simply been removed from their position of "power", I could understand. Them being completely banned is taking it too far IMO. This isn't a one-sided affair...plenty damage has come from both sides. Certain people seem to not see this.

Sorry Sammy, I had to say something. Have faith though...I do think things are calming down. Who knows if everything will be made right...I think it can, I just don't think it will. Please, someone surprise me.
