I personally think that this whole thing should be put on the back burner ( heat off of course) and let Rich and Kelli work, this out and the rest may just fall into place.Yes we lost alot of Good members here some out of anger, Some out of "see what I did" All in all there are alot of mixed emotions going on here....JMHO But let this just sleep for a bit.

I agree, Bill. There's little more to be accomplished on this thread at this point in time....let the actual participating parties sit down, think it out, and decide where to go from here. Talking things out, and LISTENING to each other like real adults could do wonders.....I hope ALL things said or done out of anger, spite, or pure frustration can be worked through. All of the folks involved are good people, and a lot can be gained or lost though this.

I think that I read about the first 350 posts in the thread bashing Fauna. Several members here who were trashed did take the time to post there as well. I believe that I posted about 7-8 times, and clearly stated my disappointment there as I have above. There are some quality posts in the thread, by some quality folks. There's a lot of scum too, some of which used to frequent this site.

Yes, I do live in the reality that surrounds me. Kelli has lowered herself in my book. As said by others, we are all human. However, we don't all initiate, encourage, or profit from threads which exist to bash others. The negative that comes of such threads far outweighs any positive IMO, although there is some comic relief in seeing how quickly, given the opportunity to show one's arse, some people can't run fast enough to do so. Once again, we just don't see eye to eye, but I have no desire to make assumptions about your reality ............ nor a need to.

I mean Kelli did not invite all the people that flocked over there. They came by their own accord. The people bashing Fauna are doing so by their own accord. Kelli did not start that thread or encourage anyone to bash this place.

Yet you sat right here and said she did all those things..... That is my only point Jim.... in how you like trying to insinuate that your opinions are facts.

I agree that leaving the original thread up was a damned if you do and damned if you don't decision. However, the proliferation of 3 or 4 additional threads relating to the same subject was unnecessary.

All in all, this thread has gottten a significant amount of attention over here....but this topic is really the only topic over there. In my opinion, the new site is doing a lot more to prolong and exacerbate this situation than is Fauna.

My main problem is that the launching of the new site could have been accomplished amicably and with good wishes on all sides. It's a shame it was handled the way it was.

I honestly think the entire situation has gotten about all the airtime it warrants though from both sides.

There are people on both sides of the fence I am walking on that I like and respect very much..... It is kinda like when a married couple that you are long time friends with is going through a divorce... you can see both sides of the argument and you just want it all to go away and go back to the way it was.

OK Sammy, here's post #8 in the thread in Kelli's site, as posted by Kelli, in her exact words, in total. Forgive me Rich and Lucille.

I would have to say that Lucille and Rich are my personal "favorites".

I hold Kelly responsible for the existence of the thread, as it is her site. She could also have backed up her claim that it was not for public viewing by taking it down once she realized the faux-pax. To characterize such an action as "damned if you do" is absurd in my view. It would be good judgement. And I guess Sammy that Kelli's post, seeing as she is to that site exactly what Rich is to Fauna, did not encourage what followed? That would include the trashing of moderators here by engaging in word-play of their God-given names so as to insult and demean them. It would also include posts by folks with a bone to pick saying other mods here by specific name are "F-ing idiots", etc., where the mod here had not posted a word there yet (although a few did eventually). There's the facts, and anyone here can go there and read plenty more. My opinion is based on the above and much more. What part of Kelli's responsibility don't you get Sammy? All due respect, you are not in a postion to question my reality, nor I yours.

Jim, let it rest for a little while. I know you have some strong opinions but perhaps it would be best to wait and see what Kelli and Webslave come up with after talking and continue from there(if necessary).

A lot of people have some very strong opinions and hurt feelings over all this. Continually taking a razor and slicing at the wounds is not helping anything or anyone. Several people have stepped out the situation already in an attempt to let those with the main issues at hand work things out.

A base line generic reference which covers members who are members of both forums and never posted on that one thread. So in saying that your attempt at slander does break the rules here if you actually look at it.

No problem Bobby, although I only drink at night. I'll buy the second round. Like many of you, I am hopefull that Rich and Kelli work out their differences. Rich does not speak for the other members of the Fauna community however, which, as I indicated earlier, IMO Kelli owes an apology to as well. Corey, as you know, we have a mutual acquaintance who has a very good understanding of my position, and a "dog in this hunt", who can explain my position to you more fully if needed. I am always open to PM's as well.

EXACTLY! Kelli is absolutely in a no win situation. If she deletes the thread, then she'll be accused of trying to hide something by people here, and she'll be accused of censorship by the people on her site.

However, she has already said that the current forum is temporary pending the launch of the final version of her forum. In other words, she has already said that she's going to delete it all...she and Ryan just need to finish putting the finishing touches on the "launch" version of the site first.

Rich and Kelli are the main players, right here, right now. Give them room, and time. If there is a meeting of the minds, THEN there are issues to be met, and amends to be made by Kelli and others, to Fauna and some of its individual members..

We have certainly been in agreement many times, but this will not be one of them. My earlier points were indicative that it is not one scab, one wound, or one fault, and that the bridge between Rich and Kelli is not the only one that Kelli took out, although people can shift that blame accordingly.
Facing tough choices comes with the turf, and I agree that Kelli is in a dilemma there, albeit of her own choosing. Does anyone doubt that those who have been very successful in business have not made many mistakes on their way to success? I would advance the theory that they knew when to let go of the mistake endeavors when they were small, swallow their pride, and make the "damned if I do and damned if I don't" decisions. Kelli is the boss, administrator, and player-coach. She is not a bystander caught up in someone else's mess, and the proverbial "buck stops here" sign is on her desk.
Lucille, as someone who posters in the other thread were quite unprofessional towards, your patience is second to none.
