There are issues when those who DO have callings do not take them seriously, it was this concept I painted in my post. If you who read the post were looking for specific comparisons, sorry, but you misread.

I think there are evil people in any walk of life, I hope that some here will take a different path before they do end up in the extremes of evil.
The posts I have read on Kelli's site are definitely a step in the wrong direction; only those people can correct the direction in which they travel.

have you taken the chance to read the full site? or are you just talking about the one thread because god only know how many threads we could pull up here. lucile you may want to look up the word extreme and apply it to yourself ... possibly even the word vindictive, self promoting, selfish oh just to name a few. eh, but you are holier than thou and can do no wrong yes?

Well, I can see Robin has once again affirmed my assertions about her complete lack of class, character, or integrity. The community as a whole is definitely better off without her, as whatever positives there are about her are far outweighed by her negative aspects. Over the years, she has duped many, including myself, into believing that she was actually someone worth associating with, despite her malicious and self-serving nature. Alas, even the rosiest-colored glasses can't disguise her undeveloped mentality for long.

Robin is the posterchild for the mental and emotional deficiencies that I discussed earlier. Stasis, or balance, makes her extremely uncomfortable. She thrives on conflict and strife. Where there is none, she must create it. Where it exists, but in a mild form, she must inflame.

This may be due, in part, to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem caused by her extremely poor vision. Robin feels better about herself when she's being malicious towards others. Likewise, when she acts out in her sophomoric manner, she diverts the attention to herself, thus giving her a feeling of relevancy that she otherwise lacks.

Well gee, that's a surprise. Gosh, people took a quote and twisted it out of context to mean what THEY wanted it to mean and NOT what was obviously intended by the words.

I read that quote, and certainly did not interpret it as a direct comparison with Marcia and certainly not as an accusation by any stretch of a rational imagination. When I was composing my post to Marcia in this thread asking about requirements for joining a church or religious leaning group in the position of a pastor or minister, yes, I too thought of those headline stories about such things. Really, who wouldn't? It was all very high profile when it was going on in the news. So unless you lived under a rock, you did know about those public issues. To me, those stories displayed a weakness in the system that hires such folks, and I was honestly curious about those hiring practices, thinking Marcia would certainly have some experience with the procedures. I've never had an opportunity to ask anyone else about it, and this seemed the perfect opportunity for me to ask.

My being concerned about the obvious hatred undercurrent in Marcia's digs in relation to her being a minister certainly could not be interpreted as being an accusation of anything darker. At least not by someone who just doesn't WANT to twist it in that direction for their own purposes. All it means, is that I am surprised that my antiquated view of what it means to be a pastor or minister is quite evidently so far off base from reality. I am just shocked that a minister, even one with human failings, would speak in public about someone else in such a manner. Unabashedly, I thought better of someone calling themselves a "minister". And I guess the real shocker, to me, is that a minister thinks such thoughts about ME!

Really, I don't know what to think about this one... I've pissed off a Minister.... Can't say I ever recall doing THAT before..

actually i can see quite well now .. the retina has healed perfectly and i amd awaiting contacts ... my eyesight has always been poor (see you don't know all) and it has never hindered me until this most recient disease which is being taken care of. lucile know your facts mkay?

and ro is right lucile i don't like you. simple as that. if you actually know me i am a very easy going, peaceful person but then again you don't know me. sometimes i tend to have a quick temper (on certain issues) and i can get quite mean and rude and blunt... but the words i say here i would say directly to your face. i also hold grudges. i have my faults as does everyone. but i will tell you this in a heartbeat that marcia and kelli are MUCH better people than myself. you can bash me as much as you want but good people them like do not deserve it at all. lucile you know neither them and yet you are so easily to judge. at least ken somewhat knows me for him to come to his assesment of me. and yeah you will say i dont know you and i dont nor do i but i dont like you so, oh well

apparantly you have not had any experience back in the day with catholic preists or fathers or whatever they are. as well as some of other denominations. marcias one or two words or statements do not even compare. and she actually made a public appology wether or not you chose to read it or saw it is your problem.

No I didn't, and perhaps I prefer my blissful ignorance of those days. Which is certainly indicative of one of my basic problems, I guess. I expect the best out of people. Darn shame I have so often been disappointed in them. Not the majority, thankfully, but enough that it is rather discouraging.

Would you consider the people partaking in it in such a "behind your back manner" as "respectable", "honorable" or any other similar trait that you hold dear as being representative of your own personality? And please don't take the dodge that it was supposed to be a secret test forum. That is irrelevant to this discussion, if not really damning in it's own right.

And btw, seriously, I am glad your eye surgery came out OK. I would think the fear of blindness would be mind numbing. I couldn't imagine that myself so I am honestly glad it worked out well for you.

Look at the stories about the priests sexually abusing the young children entrusted into their care. The news stories one sees of church notaries who steal and make off with the contributions that families, many times poor families, sacrifice and tithe to see the work of God done. Yes, such horrors exist; but joining this group I think, should be avoided.

I do respect people that are upfront, so thats a plus in my book. But that is far from what started this mess, but more like the exact opposite.

why you ask because two of the best people i know are getting bashed and treated like poo and only looking at it from a one sided perspective. i will be damned if peole are going to treat them like that. people can bash me all they want but i refuse for you guys to keep bashing them. they are fine descent people and do not deserved to be ganged up on espeically on a biased one sided forum. you can go on and bash but kelli will not post not see these threads so go on like yall have been kick her some more. i meam isn't that what you guys do best? kick people while they are down?

honestly i can not answer for anyone else however a few small (foul) words mentioned and the fact that so and so i dont like or i cant stand so and so... i would let it roll off my back. it's not like people i have said that to you or about you or even me for that fact? so why blow it up into something as big as it has gotten. instead of a continuation of a ppublic post why not try to comunicate with the individual via email or phone. i have no doubt that most if not all of the people in that thread have already told you how they feel or would have no trouble saying it to your face. i have seen chat transcripts from the main mod room of you and jay going to town about me, and this differes how?

Well Robin, One would only need look at the start of this mess to clearly see why it came about. I think it would be some of the same reasons mentioned above. But I will say these words are said in the open, not like the threads that started this mess. Under cover, Hidden rooms, and back biting.

the site was a public domain... the thread was public .. only a few people knew of the site because they were helping with suggestions trying out the new forum and working out the kinks ... why invite the entore comunity to a forum which isnt complete yet ... hiden room? where are you getting that? pftt there are hidden rooms here and if you think i am lieing you really need to step back even rooms hidden from the forum moderators.

I don't really think "bashing" is going on as you infer it, Robin. I think the question being asked of the participants in that thread is "what the hell were you thinking?" If my posts have made the appearance of "bashing" then I do apologize for that and hope to steer things away from that appearance.

I placed a post in the moderators forum back in mid April to expressly solicit of the moderators (which these members WERE participants of) to open up and lay it on the line about ANY issues they may have with other moderators here. To get it out of their systems and just deal with it. To see if there were some issues that might affect everyone's ability to do the best job here. This obviously included myself as well, and I had certainly hoped that no one would have accepted the job of being a moderator who had a hidden chip on their shoulder. Did they bring it up and try to deal with it openly? Did they try to at least get the issues out on the table so they could be addressed and if not resolved, at least give the opportunity for steps to be taken in that direction? Didn't they WANT to at least try to resolve this issues?

No, apparently, they did not. Instead, when presented with the opportunity to discuss such things (supposedly behind my back and others) they jumped at the chance in a very ugly manner on Kelli's site. That was supposed to be FUNNY? Purposely hurting people in public is FUNNY?

So why the heck did they do that? To keep the moderator's positions they had? To keep me and others from knowing how they REALLY felt? What was to be gained by doing that? Did they PREFER keeping the anger and hostility inside and hidden? They obviously preferred to hide it, but for what motive? Was being a moderator here so danged important to them that they were willing to jeopardize their credibility and reputation of honesty to keep it? Honestly, I just don't understand the reasoning.

So no, I think most of the bashing you hear is really just some people bashing their head against the desk trying to understand WHY. What was to be gained by doing what they did in that fashion?
