Feels like the Jerry Springer show on here
Wow! Quite a war of words going on here. I have been asked by several people to post my own accurate reply to what has been said so far. First off, let me say that I am neither trying to implicate Kevin nor absolve Ken of any wrongdoing in this situation. My only involvement was in the bagging of the snakes.
Here goes: Key Yates asked me to bag up all of the venomous snakes that were going to be sent to Kevin. I told him I would if he compensated me. Ken paid me $200 to bag the snakes for him since most normal people don't like to try and bag Mambas and King Cobras. Ken has zero experience with venomous snakes and was recently stuck with a sizeable collection after he let go his two previous employees that took care of the venomous.
To address the main points. I did in fact bag up 6 Neotropical Rattlesnakes......not 2 or 5 BUT 6. I have no way of knowing what happened after I bagged the snakes but I can't imagine any reason Ken would then attempt to remove 4 of them after he just got through paying me $200 to bag them. If he was comfortable enough dealing with the venomous snakes to attempt to remove them why hire me at all? Again, this is just my impression as I have no way to know who is the real liar in this situation. I don't know Ken or Kevin very well and can't honestly attest to either person's character.
The Black Mamba in the picture does not appear to be the one I bagged. The one I bagged was about half that size. It was a subadult that was raised from a CB baby and was in excellent health when I bagged it.
I have no way of telling if the Green Mambas are the same , as I bagged 7 of them which were of varying sizes.
There was one Puff Adder missing. Ken wanted to send substitute snakes so I bagged several small Black Neck Spitting Cobras for this purpose.
I gave Ken some basic instructions as to how to properly pack the snakes. He used 6 two foot x two foot boxes. The insulation he used was of inferior thickness. This point is clear. I normally use 3/4" or 1/2" stryo for insulation with one large heat pack in a box this size and never have any problems.
All I can vouch for is what I have stated so far.
Like I said.... I don't know either Ken or Kevin very well and won't go so far as to suggest who is the liar here. Only that person knows.
I do have a life, and a very busy one at that so don't expect me to post any more messages on this forum about this situation.
Good luck to everyone involved. Happy Holidays and Good Night.
