Good point, but you will notice a screw in the bottom box (lid) as well.
I would say that he may have stopped unpacking for a few minutes, in order to take the picture, except that Oreganus clearly states he opened all the boxes first[/]

If the lids were screwed on as KY states, now and in his post on page 9, then there are at least 2, possibly more that were unopened when the first picture was taken.

THIS IS MY RESPONSE FOR KENNETH'S NON UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS GOING ON AFTER 60 PAGES:

4. look please at the page 1 first picture. notice there is still a black screw in the lid on the top box. the way i screwed the boxes together there is no way to leave even one screw in the lid and open them. if this is true and the boxes or even one box lid still has a screw in it. why would he take time to take pics of 4 mambas before he unpacked those boxes. he says i packed them poorly and they were dying, would you not want to get them out as fast as possible and not take the time to take pics.

5. i did not just place one piece of insulation board in each box. all sides and top and bottom were lined. i bought a entire 2 squares of the insulation and have some left over, if i would have thought the boxes needed more insulation i would have put more in there. i would have no reason to want to keep the extra insulation, it is a waste to keep the extra. now someone is going to say that i could use it in my other buisness so let me cut that out now. i have closed my other company over a month ago and had no insulation here and have no need for any. so please do not go there.
basically what i am saying is why would i buy(i have receipts)(pics of the extra insulation) more insulation needed and not use it if i thought it needed to be used. i thought with the two 5-10 hour warmers which i also have pics of, ther boxes would be warm enough

I think that the moderator should simply lock this thread, it is doing no good since we all know that Kenneth is not going to pay the money back willingly. Now it is basically just to amuse us with his "sharp" wit and bad spelling. I do apologize for posting his address, I didn't mean to, I simply cut and pasted the entire correspondence. I think someone brought this up, but why did Kenneth's siding business get closed? Wasn't he on the news in South Carolina for ripping people off or that he has a lawsuit against him or something????

If you were so concerned about the animals welfare, that you quickly unpackaged them all, in order to care for the living..
Putting the boxes back together and running at least ONE screw, would have been a waste of time that was needed for the animals sake.

I can however, see tossing all the screws back in the boxes, to re-attach the lids later.. but....

I don't think that's the case.

I still believe what i had stated earlier.. a scammer tries to scam a scammer and got scammed.


Simple conclusion and closure..
Both of you drop it, leave here for now and get on with life.

And KY.. I never got an answer on the earlier question, of whether Anja is still in your employ or partner in business.

You can PM the answer to me if you do not feel comfortable with posting the answer.

There were three of us here when the snakes were unpacked. I had a stack of rubbermaids, you can see two of them in the bottom left corner of the picture. snakes were quickly inspected and put in a warm room. AFTER all the snakes were inspected and in a warm room, then we took care of the boxes and took pictures of the dead snakes. This is not a case of me scamming anyone, i have posted pictures, emails,ect all on here, I have went out of my way to give proof of the events. Why are you so set that I am a scammer? Have I dealt with you? Do you know me? Not upset, just curious as to why you would accuse me of that without reason. Please enlighten me. Have I not answered all questions promptly without contradiction? Just curious.

This is my OWN opinion.

I feel that the previous thread started by you, was a good training ground for what to do and what not to do, here, in a post when you are saying you were ripped/conned.

I feel that you used KYs ad as a means to set in motion, a post to say that a well known bad guy, is still bad and in effect, have the masses on your side.

It would seem that you did learn quite a lot on the previous thread, but have failed to realize, that even bad guys, when wronged, the masses will say so. Using their intellect and reasoning, as well as loads of common sense.

I feel that you tried to take advantage of this forum, as others have, to not only attempt to make a good guy status for yourself, but to make gains, monetarily or in animals.

I do not feel that you nor KY are singly at fault here, yet are both at fault.
Thus the phrase, a scammer tried to scam a scammer and got scammed.

This is all just my opinion in this matter.
 
Like I stated before....

One bad experience doesn't make a person an automatic bad guy for life. Anyone who has done business on the net knows that eventually you will have trouble with at least one person, but that doesn't make you bad, it is just something that happens. You can't make every person happy everytime. I have dealt with hundreds of people and only had a couple of problems. I don't want to respond to comments made about the previous thread, I made an agreement and I am going to stick with it. But that one thread doesn't make either party an automatic scam artist. As far as Kenneth, he has proved over and over that he is not an ethical businessman and has proved that on here by his self contradictions and his lies that were proven to be false. I just think it is quite a stretch for you to say that I am "using" this board to try and make myself look like a good guy, I don't have to, since I have enough people that I deal with that know the truth. Just my opinion.

I promised myself every thirty pages or so I would chime in again.

Ed I can fully understand the questions you have raised and yet I think that when your unpacking something like these snakes you can unpack all the boxes, take care of the still living put lids back and then take a pic. It doesnt seem to far out of the realm of possibility. And forgetting the exact order of things when you write still doesnt seem that far out of wack.

Now given the size issue I would tend to believe that maybe the black is longer than the 4.5 footer bagged. But since we only have KY's word that what was bagged was sent and each snake was individually bagged a switched snake could happen anywhere. So call the black a big question mark.

What I and everyone else on fauna knows for sure is that the packaging was poor, not enough insulation, not enough heat in duration. That no matter what else KY has to say he insured the death of these snakes with his shipping methods. And if nothing else that means to me he is liable for the money to be returned for Kevins loss.

And thats about as simple as it gets.

We actually have the person that bagged the snakes words.

We do know what he stated about what he bagged and who picked them up for shipping preperation.

A swap was made somewhere, either with the reciever, Oreganus, who most likely does have access to other dead mambas, or on KYs end.

I am inclined to lean toward KY on the mamba issue in this case.

KY is STILL at fault for the shipping means, however.

I totally agree, all we know for sure on the black was that a 4.5 foot snake was bagged. After that the jury is out and likely to remain out.

And it seems we all agree and know for sure is that KY killed the others with poor packing.

Given that I still believe KY owes Kevin for the greens, which I believe Kevin has said he would take to resolve the issue.
 
I'm still not so sure about the size of the black mamba. The one that Kevin is holding is pretty close to six feet just to look at it but, if you have never seen one of these guys alive and wiggling you don't know how fast they are and how difficult it is to get an accurate measurement on one. Mardi estimated. Which is a lot like a guess.

I'm not saying the snake in the picture is the one Mardi packed. And I'm not saying it isn't. It is within the realm of possibility that while Mardi was packing, not knowing how much importance the size of the snakes would later become, that he simply did not pay that much attention to the actual length of the Black. Maybe he did.

There is also Kevin's willingness to drop it rather quickly which did send some red flags up when it happened.

I have no doubt that kennyboy's poor packing killed the greens. I have no doubt that kennyboy shorted Kevin some snakes. I have no doubt that kennyboy will lie as easy as he will breathe.

I do have a doubt about the black mamba being the one that Mardi bagged. That's just the conclusion I come to Kevin, having never done business with you but having read all of the other thread you were involved in that you did not exactly come out of smelling like a rose. Honesty is very important and yours is questionable. There is no doubt of kennyboy's dishonesty at all.

Is it possible that the previous owner has pictures of the black momba or perhaps a shed skin that can be matched up to the dead snake? Something like that, proof positive, is going to be needed before I believe that the snake Kevin is holding up is the one Mardi bagged. It's possible that it is but I am not convinced.

Mardi, can you check on this and let us know please?

Maybe I posted a minute too soon..

The black mamba is history (pun intended) as far as I and quite possibly many are concerned.

The greens, as well as whatever else gets ill, falls dead or needs veterinary care and or medicines since there was obviously a very shoddy shipping job, I see as being on KYs wallet and is what I feel is owed to Oreganus, and I may even say, if Oreganus paid for shipping, it is, or at least 1/2 of it is owed as well.
 
another interesting fact....

I was so disappointed with the snakes being missing or in the condition that they were in, I didn't even mention this point, which was discussed on the phone, so I don't have an email to prove. Kenneth was going to pay shipping, but he said that "they wouldn't let hm prepay it", which was a total lie, but he then said he would throw money into one of the boxes, so it really wasn't brought up after that. But it was not very surprising that there was nothing included with the snakes. I guess this doesn't really matter, since there are way bigger issues here and he will deny that I am sure. Like I said, I didn't even think to say anything because I was in such shock from the rest of the problems. That aside, I understand everyones opinions and thoughts about this situation. The reason I dropped the black mamba issue so quickly was because I simply wanted to get paid back some of what I was out, instead of arguing about the black and taking a complete loss. I will say that I don't have access to dead mambas, this is actually only the second time I have ever gotten a mamba in. I am not comfortable with working with them and I don't feel safe working with something that I cannot get comfortable with.

Hmm. This is getting stranger by the minute.

Kevin, I follow snake bites very well, and so does Ray Hunter. Neither of us is aware of any suphan bites since Ray's friend (Les) died in 1995 from a Suphan Cobra. Can you please address this claim of yours?

Please don't just skate over this (as has happened in the past).

Also, can you post a pic of that mamba with a ruler so we can see for ourselves? If they are as squirmy as I hear, it would be just a guess as to the size while just bagging them up.

as far as the snake bite, it was the suphan that was claimed by kenneth that someone was bit by and died, I thought it strange too that I had never heard this mentioned before, but then again, why would someone make that up? Sounds like a pretty morbid thing to lie about. Not that is surprises me that much at this point, since Kenneth claimed some pretty outrageous things since(delta can't be prepaid,it is a different mamba, every place was out of insulation,ect.).
As far as pictures, I don't have any of the mambas here, they were all taken to my friends house, since he has an outdoor freezer to put them in. I will try and get over there in the next couple of days to try and put this debate to rest. I doubt if the pictures will end anything, since Kenneth will still claim it to be different then the snake he sent, ofcourse this is the same guy that didn't know the difference between a monocle and a king cobra.

Didn't Mardi say he had known these snakes since they were babies, or the black mamba anyway? If so then he should also know the person they originally came from.

Again, Mardi, is it possible to get a shed, doubtful but helpful if possible, or picture to match with the black that kevin has? Please respond to this either here or email me privately and I'll relay anything you say is ok.

Something that bothers me,,,

What in the hell is someone like KY who has no experience with "hots" doing with that many, and that caliber of Hot snakes..?
After reading the whole thread,,, what i take away from this is,, here is a guy who knows nothing really about Hot Snakes,,, has to have someone else pack them because he was not comfortable, nor competent to handle or pack them,,, and i am very thankful he did have someone pack them,,, that is the only redeeming thing about this whole thread,,, but the fact remains,, here is a guy with some of the biggest baddest venomous snakes out there...and not really a clue what to do if they escaped,, nor was he competent to handle or recaputre them,,, not to mention the risk to his own life,,,,,
JUST SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SITUATION TO ME!
Now for someone who is capable of handling and keeping venomous reptiles more power to them,,, and my hat is off to them for sure,,, but i don't see why in the hell KY had them,,,
I have a freind who keeps venomous snakes,, and he is an outstanding snake handler,, and does practice a really strict regimen or safegaurds and precautions to keep anything form happening,,, and for people like that,, my hat is off to you,,, but one bite from any of those mambas,,, and it is really bad situation very quickly,,,, it just makes me wonder how many other people who have no real experience with hots are out there...
One really bad situation with someone who is not very vigilent,, or does not take tons of precautions,,, and it would be bad for all of us,,,,
