In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Why wouldnt you just ship the female to the buyer then put your male in her enclosure after you sold his enclosure and avoid this whole situation? Or at the very least ask the buyer if he minds before you caged them together. Some breeders whole season depend on one or two pairings and you took the chance of setting the buyers breeding plans back a season by caging them together.

Kevin,

I don't think you realize how expensive this $406 is going to be to you. Looking back on your past BOIs, I can see a small but steady stream of good guy posts, exactly what a seller trying to build a rep for himself would work towards.
Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect. Charging a Paypal fee is seen by many as unethical. Putting your male on your customer's already purchased female, that was just a stupid thing to do. Missing multiple delivery dates is unprofessional. But it is done, how are you going to handle these issues?

I have been breeding and selling boas for 10 years and have hundreds of satisfied and happy customers and great references.
The real test of a seller is how they handle the adverse issue before them at the moment. Further, the quote above is very similar to a line often used by another person who has multiple bad guy threads on the BOI who you might not wish to be associated with.

He promised and swore he would refund the rest. He has since stopped answering any texts and flat out ignoring me.

NEVER do this to a customer. If you don't have the money to refund, don't just turn your back on the problem because it won't go away.
You imply you have other snakes- sell them, at a loss if necessary, and get this refund paid. Any loss you might have on discounting snakes to get an immediate sale is a lot less than the cost of a damaged reputation. The longer this thread builds, the more pause it is going to give potential customers who read it in the future.

It has to be all about the customer! ALWAYS! I recently made a huge screw-up. I sent a animal out with the wrong first name, and last name. Payment was made via PPal by his girlfriend, and for some stupid reason I assumed it was his wife,so her last name was on the package. He had it held at a hub. Went to sign for It, and of course they won't release the package. Thank goodness FedEx said they would release it to his girlfriend with the same last name and address as the box. He has to travel back home to get her. I IMMEDEATELY refund $50 and tell him I will heavily discount his next purchase, and apologize profusely. His exact words were...WOW THANKS! It is all about customer service, period!

If a seller doesn't ship a snake that's been paid for what would make people think he would ship a free one, all confidence in the seller and his business is gone. I read stories similar to this all the time on here and that's what keeps me from having an animal shipped to me. I hope you get what is owed to you Anthony.

Kevin, I have no idea why you thought it would be a good idea to throw a male in with a female that was already sold, without getting the new owner's permission. That's a very serious lapse in judgment. And the whole "there were no other cages" thing makes you sound both dishonest and unprofessional.

Breeding a snake that no longer belongs to you absolutely entitles the buyer to a full refund. You are not being generous by refunding the 25% that you have absolutely NO claim to. If you DIDN'T refund it you would see some serious backlash to your reputation.

You screwed your buyer over, first by breeding the snake that he bought, then by spending his money. It was incredibly irresponsible of you to do that.

I would strongly recommend tapping into that line of credit you have and making this right as soon as humanly possible. The sooner you correct your mistakes, the better it will be for you and your reputation.

Just read all of this...wow...I mean...of all those past great sales you've had...you let one slip and instead of making things right...you completely ignore the situation leaving a person 406$ short?

Yep, he doesn't respond to either one. I'll just keep posting till he sends it then this thread will be will be viewed by more people every time it gets pushed up.

right lets move this along, can either of you supply:

Transaction reciepts - if done via paypal it should all be in the history and have dates for a time line

Picture - the one you said he sent you showing him breeding the female you wanted

Emails/facebooks/text etc.

There doesn't appear to be a dispute regarding those issues.
The only thing in question is a refund and the OP saying he didn't respond to his contact attempts.

Still no refund. I hope you're going to Tinley park Kevin so we can talk in person cause you can't ignore me then. But still I'm not going to let this go just so you're aware.

Insane

This is just ridiculous. For goodness sake just refund the money. Make payments, do something! You've completely ruined your rep over this and it's just plain sad. Mate, I hope you're able to talk in person at Tinley. Maybe something will get done if he can't just ignore you. Good luck!

Wow this is super unprofessional especially from a breeder of "10 years". I definitely would not do business with this guy in the future. How are you going to breed his snake and think that it will be ok?
