    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

:iagree::hurray: WELL SAID! As a blanket education, conservation, and advocacy organization that represents all of us who are interested in reptiles, USARK should stay neutral on these topics.

Do I misunderstand the role of the organization? :shrug01: I didn't think it was their responsibility to deal in these kinds of matters, especially based on the mission statement that's available on the website. Andrew, you may have been speaking your personal opinion and giving your take on the situation, but you did it while wearing your "USARK President" hat, attempting to hold the power of a large organization over everyone whose opinion contrasts with yours...I feel that it's rather inappropriate for USARK to become involved here in any kind of authoritative manner.

Well...We are still just assuming he is legit....It may be some one who goes by Jim Bob outside of here..For all we know its an attempt from Kimberely to try and get this ended,thinking someone may listen to the guy...I will never be a member of USARK and you can find some bad things about them out there..I wont hijack this thread with that though..Anyways,I will assume this guy is not who he says he is..Maybe an IP check is in order???..

Actually, while it's an important subject, it's not on topic for THIS thread. Kevin was correct in not pursuing it here.
However he has started another thread which may or may not cover this area of photography.

Ive read this entire thread and just want to ad my 2c

I think Kimberly is a good person and by no means think she intentionally altered or meant for the gecko to not be what the buyer asked for. I think she has beautiful animals.

On that note, if I had a customer who is willing to pay $450 on a gecko I would do whatever it takes to keep that customer happy. If he wasnt happy and it is obvious the gecko looks different to what he was expecting to get from those pictures. I would refund his money without question, no matter what your TOS says there are always excpetions on a case by case basis.
A happy customer = a return customer, and like I said one who would pay $450 on a gecko is someone I would want to keep as a return customer.

Plus all his friends who he would most likely refer, plus when he produced amazing babies your name would be on it as well. It goes much further than just the $450 if you want to keep a good, clean reputation. You never know who your dealing with so keep your customers happy JMO.
Ya never know if you would have refunded his $450 and made him happy, he may have turned around and found something else for $650.

:iagree: Customer Service goes a Long Long Way in this business and if you end up hiding behind your TOS and not learning from mistakes you've made then you may be in for a very difficult time in this industry! This is an excellent post due to the fact that she compliments Kim's animals but she's not stating that she's a full supporter of Kim during this transaction... as she said... It's based on a case by case situation.

Although I obviously do not agree with him, Andrew has a right to have a personal opinion. Though it may be a good idea to create a personal profile to voice it, so his opinion does not reflect upon USARK as an entity. I want to believe he is speaking for himself, and not the organization.

I agree with you. Everyone is entitled to their on personal oppinion.... but in his first post it sure looked like he was trying to use his position. He had to physically type up his name and position in the post because its not in his Sig. Maybe it was just habbit ... I dunno.

I really hate to say this, cause I respect what Andrew/USArk is trying to do for the hobby.... but in a round about way... he brought USArk into it when he decided to vouch for someone that has a horrible TOS and then signed it President USArk.

it would have been better had he singed his post plain and simple and not had gotten usark in it .his personal opinion is fine .

Yea i got your point , made the same comment a while back here as well . if he wants to defend her at least don't associate such a great group as usark with it . one's personal opinion should be just that and not made seem like an organization is backing it or using that to back it.

You will see alot of that from him...He is and has to be that guy in just about every thread...I also agree with you Kevin that when he typed his name and position,thats the way he wanted to enter this fight...Did anyone find out if its a legit account?...But anyway..Lets get back to trying to put that scammer girl in a position to give the OP a refund or somthing...
