In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Kimberly Lucas Gorgeousgecko.com con artist!!

Hey Brian,

Now that the gecko has had a couple of weeks to settle in ( almost 5 months ) could you please post some updated pics of him fired and unfired and some of the replacement baby you received?

Yea, i'll try and get a few pics of him in the next day or two at both his extremes and post them up here.

The replacement i received is doing well now. His tail healed up nicely i'll post pics of him too.

Without policies the buyer would be able to extort the seller for any reason. I feel that this has been left out of this post all to often. No matter what the case.. the seller has policies. It's not as if the buyer purchased the animal here (Fauna). So why should this BOI make or break her? It shouldn't. Kimberly has policies. Policies that Brian was aware of prior to purchase. That should be the end of the story. Policy..... question answered... What's that? Policy.... question answered. But wait.... Policy... question answered. Each and every business has policies, no matter how big or small they are. If these policies got thrown to the side each time someone was unhappy it would be pandemonium. Which is the exact reason why sellers have policies and make buyers aware of their policies prior to purchases. If you don't like the sellers policies, then no one is forcing you to purchase from the seller. Brian is aware of this, and if he's not then he damn well should be. You don't walk into a store that has a GIANT sign that says No Debit/Credit Accepted and try to buy stuff with a debit or credit card do you? Ok then. Same applies here. You don't ask for a cash refund when it's company policy that they aren't given.

I agree that the gecko in Kim's picture is the same gecko in the other pictures. So... with that being said... You got the gecko that was pictured. If you and everyone else on here agree (which it looks like most do).. then you got what you paid for. Your argument or unhappiness needs to take another look at her policies. Next time maybe think it through. Sleep on it even. You were aware of the policy and if you didn't like it then you shouldn't have made the purchase... PLAIN AND SIMPLE! But you did.... and that policy still applies even though you don't like it.

This is really unbelievable that there are so many busy bodies here that have nothing to do but besmirch a persons reputation just because you can. You may not like Kimberlys policies Brian. But you knew them up front. you made your decision and you got the animal that was represented. Maybe you got yourself in financial trouble, I don't know. It is clear you knew going into this that cash refund was out of the question. Kimberly has offered you numerous remedies in good faith and you seem to accept, but your continued posts reveal that you are unwilling to reciprocate that good faith. You wanted a pound of flesh not remedy. I hope this all makes you feel better. I know exactly what has happened here. Kimberly told me about it when it happened and I have watched this entire ugly episode unfold from there. You said she should man up? I say you should man up and take responsibility for your decisions and agreements. But I can see that may not be possible for you... to man up that is.

I will not be drawn into this any further in a public forum. I have said my piece and will not respond further. Do the right thing Brian. Put this to an end.

Andrew

Andrew,

I agree with portions of your post. For instance the fact that the buyer was completely aware of the sellers policies and had no quams about purchasing the animal. However, due to the position you hold I don't feel it necessary for you to express "personal" feelings towards a person, business or public forum. I feel that you initially tried to use your "status" in an attempt to make Kimberly exempt from this post. That say's a whole lot about your character.... no? I'm not trying to throw stones. I'm just making a point. You lead by example... and this isn't a good example. Not to mention the stone throwing you did yourself. So what... Someone blasted your post. Boo Hoo! I sure hope that you can handle bigger stones and more of them being thrown because in your position I'm sure it's going to happen more than just this once. I think it best you not express personal opinions in a public forum like this. Especially when it's only going to feed the hungry drama queens something to fart and smile about while their fat little fingers work so diligently to express their discontent.

Concerning 1st bold type......while it may be the same gecko, the picture which was used to represent it as a MOONGLOW was gross misrepresentation and the seller fell back on her TOS to stiff the buyer.....so the buyer did NOT get what they paid for.

Concerning 2nd bold type.........spot on. :yesnod:

Thank you, Utta.

I didn't even see that...but I was very tired when I read it early this morning.

I'm glad the little one is doing better!!

I'm not a gecko expert by any means, but I have owned a few cresties over the years. I think that it is very possible that for Kim that gecko may have looked much like it's pictured. I think everyone can agree that stress or an environment change can cause geckos to do crazy things. Also, in the picture that was taken of the 'moonglow' and the 'white female'... the so called 'moonglow' looks very emaciated (which could be the cause). Also in that picture he looks remarkably similar to kims picture. Still not as white, but closer by all means (maybe he's just not fired up).

I don't know kim from a hole in the ground, but I doubt that she would have put 7 years of reputation on the line for a quick $450 when she's made Lord knows how much more than that. It just doesn't add up to me.

again, yes stress could cause a crestie to change there color slightly, but completely change the way they look.

if you wanna talk about things not adding up-

Kims picture in which she assured me this is as dark as she has ever seen him.
IMG_1494.jpg

Picture i took of him yesterday after having had him isolated, in the same tank and living stress free for months now.

Anyone who has ever worked with cresties will tell you a full grown adult does not completely change there appearance that drastically and permanently.

I still cannot decide what happened on kims end, and i can only come up with two ideas. Either she knows crestie morphs, and knew it wasnt a moonglow, and just used the name to be able to charge $400 more than he is worth, hoping she could throw her TOS at the buyer if she got a complaint. In which case she has no business selling reptiles. Or she is completely ignorant of what a moonglow is, and truly thought that because she got an overexposed picture of him looking pure white once, that he was a moonglow. If that were the case she still has no business selling reptiles.

I think that is exactly what happened. There's no way she honestly thought that buckskin was a $400 Moonglow. I'm sure she knows better than that. To me, the most logical explination here is that she figured that because the gecko looked like a Moonglow in an overexposed picture, she could sell it as one and make big bucks on a gecko that's only worth about $50 in reality, and the buyer would just keep quiet, because her TOS says you can't talk about your transaction.

Yea thats what i lean toward too. He does get pale at times, but still nothing like the picture i was sent. And i think she was hoping it would be close enough..... Either way, oh well. Now i know better. :)

When you NEED money (bills, disconnect notices) or simply saw a new pair of shoes that you MUST have, sometimes people don't stop to think of the long-term consequences when they think they have covered their rears with their TOS.

Looking at their TOS, It appears that they didn't expect any of their customers to raise a fuss, I think (as we have seen it happen time and time again) that they assumed that this would be another customer afraid to tick them off and lose a chance to get anything back at all.

And then we have the issue that said TOS was edited/changed in SOME WAY, soon after the issue came to the BOI.

That's too hinky for me.

I believe she knew she was screwed at that point, and went into "damage-control" mode.

Just alert everyone, Kim has an affiliate website to purpetrate her customer service crimes from........I wonder what her next misrepresentation will be.....maybe a claim of the first albino crested gecko.

http://everythinggecko.com/info.html

The Live Arrival Guarantee is void if the package is not delivered on then ext day following the day it was shipped due to error or any delays on the carrier's part.

Even if I do nothing wrong, there's the risk that I have to kiss my money good bye??

1.99 handling charge??? As much as she's charging for her imaginary morphs, she can't afford 1.99 for the boxes?? What a rip-Off.

I especially like this clause:

"You must email me the code on the bottom of the gecko container within 30 minutes of arrival or the live animal guarantee is void."

So, even if the gecko is perfect in appearance when you open the box you still have to notify her for the guarantee to be effective.......OH WAIT!!!!!!!...other than live arrival she guarantees NOTHING......your gecko could have a respitory infection, diseases, or parasites, all of which would result in a prolonged period of torture with the gecko starving itself before the onset of death, and she will not do anything accept to tell you tough &%@#.

Great job finding this and bringing it to everyone's attention. This lady just keeps shootin herself in the foot....

Much to his credit, Matt Parks took all her ads down at Pangea once he became aware that she has an unresolved Bad Guy rating here.

His rule is, if you're in trouble on the BOI, you can't post in his Trades section.

He runs a tight ship, and doesn't want other members bring grief to his site.

One more reason I LOVE Pangea!!

I didn't realize Matt did that, i was getting really annoyed with her 20 ads a week on there. Good for Matt!
