    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

To be labbled a bad guy by some 18 year old , that does not know what he is looking at or talking about has been quit trying for me as a honest business man.Mr Moore wanted two females and that is what he has got.I am finished with this .If he wants to call me a bad guy,whatever.I hope he gets a little more educated and prints a retraction.

SPJ, you can't inspect phelsuma the way you do other animals. They do drop tails easily and they also twist right out of their skin as another escape technique.

Those do look like females to me though. Not huge, but they do look like girls.

IF you buy geckos in the future, bring along a clear plastic container so you can inspect them.

Your the smart guy, so what can you tell me about geckos? I know that you can start off a thread with an insult before any of your great information is released to the world. And I know you can compare one of the more sedentary snakes to one of the more active gecko. Remember Jake trusted this guy, he is young and did not want to open a bag with animals that might take flight unlike a Blood Python....maybe you should have compared it to opening a bag of popcorn. Personally I never would place a gecko in a bag.

If you look at the link I posted those are all breeders of many phelsuma species and what I would consider experts and they are all unanimous in that it is a male.

Everytime I have met someone to pick up geckos, they have always been in a plastic container, this is the first time I have ever had geckos delivered in a pillow case. But thank you for knowing about phelsumas and that they are not in any way similar to a puppy dog tame python

For the record the bag was opened by me and presinted to Mr. Moore ,in turn he took the bag and handed it to his girlfriend, I took the bag back, tied the top and handed it back to the girlfriend.

When you make a "bad guy" post on the BOI it's immediately assuming the person in question is already guilty and that's how the title is going to read to potential customers. Whether it's justified or not is at this time debatable. Would you mind posting the emails you said both exchanged? Any further information you can provide would help your case.

Leonard, do you have any terms service listed for the animals you sell?
Regardless if you believe you are right or wrong, my opinion is that the below post is a better approach than the above one.
never the less my offer still stands,even if it is not my gecko if it is a male will be more than happy to trade it out for a female,my uncle only has one male in a large breeding group.He will be elated.

I posted this thread the night I got back and was able to examine the geckos in light and that is when I found out it was a male, I then contacted Leonard and he refused to take it back, but since this has been up we have come to an agreement so the matter is resolved.

I didn't ask you to echo what you've already been crying about all along in the wrong forum.

I asked you when are you going to apologize to Leonard for labeling him a bad guy when all along he has shown here that he wants to fix this and has committed to you to doing so.

Its a simple question Jake but I take it from your response that you are not going to apologize.
 
First off, the ability to identify male/female geckos from photos has prooven difficult, if not impossible for young animals. That said, My post to replace may lead to more confussion if the receiver does not understand how to sex these animals correctly. My uncle has prooven females smaller than the ones Mr Moore received and it could prove futile if he has no skill in sexing these geckos when more geckos are presented to him. Mr Moore relates my refusal to exchange these animals in the above post. Truthfully, just under his original guidelines. He wanted me to send him his money back and then he would ship the animals back to me. I think those who have read this thread would not agree to those terms either!

Serious though, people often label their original thread in a manner that reflects more their current frustration vs reality. From what most have seen, this is the case here. Leonard has been more than professional in my opinion and really was not deserving of such a thread.

To be blunt, your PM to Chuck tells us quite a bit about you. You've proven that you're rather inexperienced with gecko's and possibly have jumped to conclusions. Regardless, it would probably be the correct thing to simply apologize for the title of the thread, meet up with him to right any perceived wrongs, and move on. Sending temper tantrum PM"s and continuing the attitude is not going to gain you anything.
