    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry LST EXOTICS

We ordered a rack from Sean over the weekend and all I can say is that he has been beyond professional in his communications with us from start to present. I cannot speak for the quality of the racks since we have not received ours but it sounds like he has gone above and beyond to satisfy Kathy.
 
i rarely chime in on these things but this is crazy. It seems to me Sean is bending over bacwards to help this lady and everyone here is crapping all over him because other cage dealers ripped other people off.
Sean i commend you on keeping to the high road and pleaseing your customers to the ends of it costing you money congratulations sir.

That's ONE guy....hardly constitutes "everyone here". :rolleyes: And even then, it seems the two of them came to understand each other in the end.

My personal take on what I've seen so far...

For someone who is going SO far out of their way to make a customer happy...I don't understand why he didn't just e-mail the asked-for pictures to begin with? I can totally understand his not wanting to put them up in public if he didn't want any more requests for that design....but I don't understand why he wouldn't just send them privately. Might have gone a long way to keeping a trigger-happy customer from flipping out.

I also believe her husband has every right to "chime in" on the matter. For one...ANYone can chime in on a BOI thread. It's an intentional design feature. :p For another...they're married, for goodness sake. Anything happens to me...you can be darn sure my husband will take it personally...and vice versa. Just because one of us initiates a retail transaction does not mean the other one has no right to step in and become a party to it if things aren't going smoothly.

Lastly....I DO believe Sean is dealing with a trigger-happy customer who has no tolerance for a moment's delay or for any hint of things not going 100% according to plan. According to HER plan. I see NO evidence that Sean set out to rip anyone off...or that he ever would do such a thing. Worst case, I see him falling down just a tiny bit on customer service in the beginning that might have saved him some big headaches down the road. (Not sending out the pictures)

Of these two, it's very clear to me who I'd choose to do business with, and who I would avoid entirely. Sean...good luck. I hope the matter ends soon and satisfactorily for both sides...sorry you're losing money on the deal!!

Judy, thank you. For clarification Bill is not Kathy's husband, he is a husband of a woman that was a fan on our facebook page that we never had anything to do with. To my knowledge and from what Kathy said to me in an email today, She does not know him and he just decided to jump in completely all on his own. That is why I thought him saying anything was ridicules. His wife just wanted to see the pictures of Kathy's cage.
 
And thats all it would have taken to make my wife happy. But you had keep telling her you were going to post them and never did. I know you had Kathy's number, all you had to do was take your phone out of you pocket, snap a pic or 2 and send them to kathy and she would have forwarded them to my wife and then the ladies would have been happy, I would have been able to call you and order my wife's cages, picked them up in a couple of weeks and everybody would have been happy, especially me, I would have these snakes behind locked doors. lol
 
Sean, I am sorry you are losing money as well. Only you and I know the entire story. Per my email to you, I would like to see a signed BOL from Vitran saying they picked up.

I didn't know white was custom, when I asked about white you said you can do white, no problem. We discussed how I wanted the cage, with the dividers and double doors with good latches so my cats can't possibly do that. I didn't know that my white would be such a problem for your shop.

I am sorry for my posts bad-mouthing Sean, he is a very nice person on the phone, he is smart about what he is doing, heating, etc on the cages.

I'm not a trigger happy person. IMO the cages should have shipped on Oct 28 based on what I know about how they run white only on Friday. A whole week of delay after that and I don't know why, and now practically another week. I've called the freight companies local here and there. I get conflicting info from them and what Sean gets. I think a few calls that would be made either by Sean or the freight broker he uses would have made this shipment go the way it should have. Someone should have called Vitran direct as I did and found out that they will deliver residential for an additonal fee, I don't know what that would be. All of the info I got from the freight companies today took me less than 15 minutes. It was simple, 2 phone calls and I was done.

I will love my cages, I have no doubt about that.

I regret ever posting anything last night. I am sorry and have apologized to Sean.

I cancelled an order with another vendor to go with Sean based upon the lead time he gave me the first time we talked on the phone. Sean knows I cancelled with the other vendor and he knows why. I wanted them quicker and he said not a problem. Me adding the additional cage took longer, I get that. I just don't get why they didn't ship sooner and why doesn't Vitran have any record of picking up my cages on Friday night? Those are my questions. The truck company has no reason to lie to me. they say they never picked up from LST Exotics.

Now I have asked Sean if Vitran is still charging him the $150 for the order to be shipped. IMO, they shouldn't if they don't even have a record of the order being shipped. Doesn't that make sense? It does to me.

I agreed to Vitran with me picking them up to save Sean money. It was going to be a big hassle for me to go the 5 boxes from Vitran and bring them to my house. I have a car so it would be 4-5 trips and time. I was being nice by offering to do this, at least I thought I was.

When I would call the freightquote place he sent me a BOL for, they kept telling me that the order was supposed to be delivered to Vitran via Sean. Sean says they picked up. I don't know what to believe. Sean did call me Friday to tell me they picked up and we had a nice conversation. He says he doesn't know what happened with the shipping. I don't know. I'm confused.

I stand corrected. :) I still maintain that the BOI is here for anyone who feels they have something useful to say to jump in...but I agree that does seem like a rather odd connection and a strange thing to be that upset about.
 
I would not be upset if I didn't feel as though I've been lied to and strung along. That is how I feel and until I see a signed BOL from Vitran I don't believe they ever left the shop.
I don't know why it is strange to be upset when I feel like I've been lied to. Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. If Sean sends me that signed BOL I will understand. I am upset b/c I've been told that these cages were shipping before and they didn't. I can probably go back thru all of our correspondence and find where they were supposed to ship initially.

and yes, the way I paid did have to be specifically set up by Sean.

Again, I had NO idea these were custom cages and that any special program needed to be run. When we talked last week I told him I was fine with the bent. I don't know why he didn't just send bent. I told him not to re-do them Why am I being criticized for that? How would I have known a special program needed to be made? Why would a special program have to be made if my cages were the same sizes that the black ones are?

If it goes freight, it will cost more to deliver to a residence than to a dock at a business.
Don't be surprised if they pull up, drop it in the driveway or by the door and leave.
Most freight carriers are not required to do any more than leave it outside if there is no loading dock.
 
SPJ - that would be fine with me. I'm home and I would bring them in. I know it will cost more to deliver to a residential which is why I initially said I would pick them up at my Vitran which would cost me extra gas and a lot of time, 5 boxes and I don't think I could get 2 in my car. The pedestal is one box and he said it's smaller so it might fit in my trunk. I was trying to get my cages sooner and save Sean money. He gave me several options and I chose the one which would be cheapest for him and more inconvenient for me. I thought that was nice of me. I don't really want to make 4-5 trips across town in traffic picking them up but I said I would.

I just called Vitran in Greensboro again and they say they have never heard of LST or Sean. The man is going out to check some trucks for me. They will be calling me back.
 
I take back what I said about my order being shipped on Oct 28, I believe it should have shipped on Oct 31. That was because I added a cage. At this point, my only gripe is that I'm getting conflicting stories from Sean and the freight company.
 
I see the problem now, you cant seem to understand that he changed shipping companies. (i.e.)

I feel bad for this guy he did everything humanly possible to get you your stuff quickly and efficiently even to the point to losing the majority or all of his profit on the deal. You seriously owe this guy a public apology, for jumping the gun and not having a clue as to what is going on.
 
He told me they were going Vitran, said they picked up Friday night at appx 8:30 pm. Now he says he has to go get them from Vitran. No, he's not b/c they are not at Vitran and never were. I've spoken to them 3 times today and the last guy just went out and looked everywhere. Sean has not been there to pick them up or this guy would have known.

I have that same info from Southeastern, Sean sent it to me.

I don't think you are seeing the entire story. Vitran was dispatched last Thursday, Friday and Monday. When I called the freightquote company about 3 times, they all said that Sean was supposed to drop my shipment off. Sean says they picked up. Why is there no record of it and why did 2 or 3 people at the freightquote place tell me the same thing, the cages were set to be dropped off. One lady even called Vitran in NC to ask them if they had seen them. No, they had not.

I don't feel bad for him, I am positive I've been lied to and I don't appreciate it. Just tell me the truth.

I have apologized to Sean but after talking to Vitran and having 2 people tell me they have never heard of Sean or LST or seen those boxes and have no paperwork, it's not in their computer. Explain that.

I've not jumped the gun. If my cages were dispatched with Vitran for 3 days and Vitran never got them, something weird is going on.

All I do know is Sean paid Vitran and I would think he should get a refund since they never had anything to do with my boxes.

I have the first BOL in my email that was setup with Vitran. You have missed something or you wouldn't be saying what you said.

As I said, he never told me my stuff was custom, I had no idea, he told me they run white on Fridays. I know he had to order some white parts to make the cages look nice and I am sure they will. My gripe is being lied to. That's all.
 
Just because some people told the same thing that they all say to cover their a** doesn't mean it's the truth. People dont pay for shipping and then not do it, I'm inclined to believe that vitran has made a documentation error of some kind which is a more logical explanation.

Some snakes I sent werent confirmed for pickup even though they had been picked up and delivered. I was getting calls two days later asking where my house was, because they had the wrong pickup address. The snakes were allready delivered at that point. So I wouldnt say someone lied just because the shipping company cant seem to figure it out.

Agreed. I received a damaged package from UPS several weeks ago. It arrived on Friday, the shipper contacted UPS about the damage, and UPS stopped by Monday morning to pick it up. I thought that was the end of it, until about 2.5 weeks later, when UPS showed up again to pick up the damaged package. When I informed him that the package had been picked up over two weeks ago, he called the hub(?)...then advised me that if I refused to turn over the damaged package, the claim would be denied. At that point, I handed him the pickup receipt. The driver apologized, and left....but I got two more phone calls that day from UPS trying to sort things out.

You can believe the seller, or not....but (unless he is willing to show some documentation) there really isn't much to do at this point but wait and see. I would suggest waiting a reasonable amount of time for delivery before taking steps to dispute the payment.
