Sean, I am sorry you are losing money as well. Only you and I know the entire story. Per my email to you, I would like to see a signed BOL from Vitran saying they picked up.
I didn't know white was custom, when I asked about white you said you can do white, no problem. We discussed how I wanted the cage, with the dividers and double doors with good latches so my cats can't possibly do that. I didn't know that my white would be such a problem for your shop.
I am sorry for my posts bad-mouthing Sean, he is a very nice person on the phone, he is smart about what he is doing, heating, etc on the cages.
I'm not a trigger happy person. IMO the cages should have shipped on Oct 28 based on what I know about how they run white only on Friday. A whole week of delay after that and I don't know why, and now practically another week. I've called the freight companies local here and there. I get conflicting info from them and what Sean gets. I think a few calls that would be made either by Sean or the freight broker he uses would have made this shipment go the way it should have. Someone should have called Vitran direct as I did and found out that they will deliver residential for an additonal fee, I don't know what that would be. All of the info I got from the freight companies today took me less than 15 minutes. It was simple, 2 phone calls and I was done.
I will love my cages, I have no doubt about that.
I regret ever posting anything last night. I am sorry and have apologized to Sean.
I cancelled an order with another vendor to go with Sean based upon the lead time he gave me the first time we talked on the phone. Sean knows I cancelled with the other vendor and he knows why. I wanted them quicker and he said not a problem. Me adding the additional cage took longer, I get that. I just don't get why they didn't ship sooner and why doesn't Vitran have any record of picking up my cages on Friday night? Those are my questions. The truck company has no reason to lie to me. they say they never picked up from LST Exotics.
Now I have asked Sean if Vitran is still charging him the $150 for the order to be shipped. IMO, they shouldn't if they don't even have a record of the order being shipped. Doesn't that make sense? It does to me.
I agreed to Vitran with me picking them up to save Sean money. It was going to be a big hassle for me to go the 5 boxes from Vitran and bring them to my house. I have a car so it would be 4-5 trips and time. I was being nice by offering to do this, at least I thought I was.
When I would call the freightquote place he sent me a BOL for, they kept telling me that the order was supposed to be delivered to Vitran via Sean. Sean says they picked up. I don't know what to believe. Sean did call me Friday to tell me they picked up and we had a nice conversation. He says he doesn't know what happened with the shipping. I don't know. I'm confused.
