Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Luis Taracena (herphobbiest) bad deal

I'll say it again.... YOU'RE PATHETIC!!!....

...."How am I a thief when the results of the Necropsy are not even done?"....

You're a THIEF because Matt SHOULD HAVE HAD THOSE BALLS ALREADY....

You want to SHOW people that you're an "honest" guy????..... SEND MATT THE SNAKES, and THEN when the necropsy comes back, THEN the two of you can discuss it.... What you're doing right now is WRONG and it's THEFT!!.... You're basically holding those Balls as HOSTAGE untill that necropsy comes back, that's BS!!.... I've dealt with people like you a lot, I know your type inside and out.... no matter WHAT that necropsy concludes, I GUARANTEE that you will "spin it" to your liking and Matt will NEVER see those snakes of HIS....

I wouldn't send you a PENNY of my money, knowing what I NOW know about you.... You're DISHONEST, you're a THIEF, you're a LIAR, and you're credibility is WORTHLESS.... enjoy your new-found reputation, and PRAY that nobody asks ME about you....

Matt, if I were you, I'd call his local Sheriff's office in his area and start proceedings on THEFT!!.... Not to mention the BBB and anyone else you can think of.... Face it, Matt, you're beating a dead horse....

Neil

Maybe its just me, but albino in the first pic of post #61 looks alot bigger than the one in the second pic. They are supposed to be the same snake aren't they? Is is just the angle?

Neil,

Blah blah blahh Blah blah... Can you said that one more time???

If you can not understand this....

Matt recommended to hold off to the Ball Pythons until the Necropsy results come. Again Matt and I agree to that.

You need special aid!!!

Oh, wait, I almost forgot that Matt, YOU an I made this agreement.

For some reason, I can not remember what you said...

At least I know that you are getting some good old cheap entertainment out of all of this.

You need to get laid or something... You are holding in too much anger. Seriously!!!

Luis

You are SO FULL OF IT!!....

So, you're telling US that after not shipping Matt his Balls when you FIRST got his Albino....

and then AFTER SIX WEEKS of you having his Albino, and it dies....

and it has to FINALLY come to the BOI, because you're not man enough to answer his emails or phonecalls when you KNOW you STOLE his snake....

and after Matt has NO SAY in the matter....

YOU DECIDE to "make an agreement" with Matt.... Which he either has to accept, because you DECIDED to keep the Albino and NOT send him the snakes YOU AGREED ON (which is EXACTLY what you did), or if he refuses, you'll keep his snakes anyway.... Yeah, you're SUCH an honest person....

YOU'RE PATHETIC, and a THIEF, and a LIAR!!

Can you read THAT???

Let's see, in the last half-dozen posts, we've gone from the study of meteorites, and the possible need for a meteorite scientist (or metorite impact specialist, soft tissue damage analysis), to a chide to solicit prostitution ! I don't even want to venture a guess as to the next possibility ! I did laugh, but I won't give credit to the exact quote. Why do I get the impression that the Fauna beer fund is growing ?

Agreement

Luis, When Matt agreed for you to hold onto the balls pending the necropsy results, did he know you weren't going to bring the animal in for testing until over a month later? The date it died was 2/26 and it wasn't dropped off until 3/30. It's just one more part of the deal you blew off. Frankly, I don't think you ever would have done anything if not for this thread. I'm very familiar with stall tactics such as yours. It's a common ploy of scammers.

Neil

Neil,

Talk with Matt and get your fats strait.

Please stop making thigs up as you go.

I did not reply one email. The next email is I am going to post on the BOI tonight. Matt has always had my Cell Phone Number and My House Phone Number. If he Call me when I am working I would have return the phone calls.

The agreement was made Feb 26 at about 8:00-8:30PM when I found the snake dead.

So it took me a two weeks to find the best pathologist in the State of AZ and another 2 weeks to be able to take it to them. I work in Phoenix AZ and Tucson is a good 140 miles from there.

If Matt wants the snakes no he has to contact me and we will figure something out.

I am not going to ship the snakes because YOU or BOB or any one else tells me I should. I know you all mean good. But this is Matt and I desition ONLY!

The results from the Necropsy should be black and white. I highly doubt the snake die from something We never have heard about. It obiously had a digestive problem. Given the feces sample.

Why can't we all wait a few more days for the Necropsy Results.

I never have Said Matt will never get the Snakes.

And tell me, what point will it prove for me to be here dealing with you, if I am just going to screw Matt anyway???

I am going to be fair and reasonable.

If you are upset with me for anything other than Matt's deal... Call me after 6:30 PM We will get square away!

Luis.

Luis,
I hope that you and Matt can work something out that is in agreement with the both of you. I think that this whole thing could have been handled a bit better, but we learn and move on. I would hope the the name-calling would subside, although I would also expect more opinions that are critical of some of your actions here. If you wouldn't mind getting the necropsy report into the thread when its available, and maybe you and Matt keeping us posted as to how this matter resolves, I would be interested in knowing both. Might I recommend a seltzer? Rich does not drink, BTW, although perhaps he has a "fine wine fund" for those special moments? I believe I have purchased a bottle in the past!

Personally this whole thread scares me........Matt is waiting on his end of his trade and Rick has his baby with Luis.... What scares me is "WHAT if Luis's Collection " is infected with something .....now Matt gets his end and Rick gets his baby and both lose there entire Collection......Seeing as Luis's Quarantine practices BITE, chances are none of Luis's snakes have ever been Vet checked..... :hot:

Luis, it is a sad to know you do not have a reptile vet, I hope this teaches you a good lesson. Start making some phone calls and find a reputable reptile vet, to have a collect and be breeding, you will need one. It would be worth the vet visit when you acquire a new reptile to make sure it is healthy before placing it in with another. It would be sad to know the snake died for a contagious disease that has infected your collection.

I think at one point or another a snake will die in a collection.

At least here we are trying to figure out what happen this time.

I have had snakes die in the past but I knew why they die. And because of that I never had to do a necropsy.

The good news is if I have anything like this ever happen again I know where to go. They even have an afterhours refrigerated drop off.

To be honest with you my animals do not go to the Vet on a Regular Basis. I maintain my animals warm and feed them well and rarely encounter a problem.

If I see a respiratory infection or a mouth Rot or other common misalignments I treat my animals here. And the times that I need medication I get it from friends when they go to Mexico.

When I was dealing with Monitor Lizards Fecal exams were a routine thing with any new lizards. When dealing with captive breed snakes that should never be an issue.

I know that everyone here except me has allways quarantine their animals for 3-6 months.

I honestly did not see it coming, I figure a month in separate confinement would have been enough for a CB snake that has even been on a breeding loan in the collection of a reputable breeder such as Alex Smith's

The snake appear to be in good health until it ate and defecated a nasty runny stool.

Once the results come in I will definitely decide what measures to take with my male Salmon Hypo, Het Sunglow and my female Pastel, Het Albino.

Matt's Albino was never close to Rick's female Albino, Aurora.

We will see what happens soon enough.

Regards, Luis

That's the straw that broke the camels back for Me. It is not something I wish to even chance. I would rather chance losing the whole litter, and possible legal action, than to lose My meager beginning, to some comunicable disease. But My snake will see a "Herp Vet" when she pops, to be tested for everything I can think of. (regardless of how broke it makes Me.) Not because I don't trust the health of Matt's snakes, but because there is no definitive way to know that you have not done something similar to this on who knows how many occasions.
Sorry, but just telling Me you have not does, not convince Me at this point in time..............You told Matt he would get 2 BP's for His Boa. He does not have them does He? This transaction should have been fulfilled before the snakes health was even a question, as I have tried to explain to you over the phone. As soon as you saw the snake, and accepted it, it is yours, and Matt's balls should have been shipped THEN AND THERE. And anything that happened to that Boa after the fact that you accepted it, is on You. Short of IBD, or some underlying long term diseases, there is no way Matt can be found at fault, and You should just honor the deal You made. It is quite simple really.

Well, my experiences with Vets have always been bad, Every Reptile that I have taken to the Vet has die. I have brought many snakes back with heat, common sense and the aid from the Reptile Care by DR Frye.

I am not sure if any one has caught this sentence i have * around. Why did these other snakes die? It sounds like something you deal with often.

Because I trust Rick more that the guy in AZ who lives 10 miles from me that offer to help.

That is why I consulted with Rick in private. Rick is coming to my House this weekend and I thought if he would help it would be a good idea. However, from our phone conversation I understud that Rick did not really wanted to get involved with the responsability. And I was not about to push the issue.

Luis

Don't know how I missed this. glad I went back to refresh My mind.
Actually Luis, I said I wasn't exactly wanting to get in the middle of it. But I also said I would do it if it would help this situation. I stand by My word. If you wish to send the BP's home with Me, until the results are in, than I would be willing to do so.

I find it ironic that you mention common sense. Common sense would dictate getting a new vet if EVERYTHING you have EVER taken to him has died.

Complete your part of the original deal

Luis, you need to fulfill your portion of the original agreement. Matt has proven to be very trusting and is obviously going to be more than fair with you. Why don't you show good faith on your part, show that you trust him and ship him the ball pythons you agreed to in the original deal. Afterall, he has trusted you first. If there are issues after you hear from the vet, I'm sure that Matt will work with you. The more you dance around the issues, the more other people question your motives. I've followed this entire thread, and it's time for you to step up and honor your word and do what you said you would in the beginning. Ship Matt the bp's. Or give them to Rick and let him help you out. You're not gaining anything by the verbal wars with others on the board. You're just putting a spotlight on yourself...and it's not pretty. Do the right thing; I'm sure Matt won't leave you hanging if there is an obvious determination from the vet. It's pretty simple at this point, be a man of honor and finish the transaction...then maybe this thread will die!

Peace,

Tim Beason

In 1998 and 1999 before I was working exclusively with Boas I was breeding Burmese and Retics.

If you are somewhat familiar with Albino Burmese and their Chronic Respiratory Infections you know what I am talking about. Vet or no Vet the the RI comes back after a few months. I lost a couple Albinos to that. Cause of death? Trachea and lungs were blocked with fluids from the RI

In 1998 I lost an Adult Female Albino Labyrinth Eggbound. Cause of death? Rotten eggs inside her.

Also in early 2000 my brother decided to show his friends how cool it was to feed my 6 ft Water Monitor. He moved the Monitor's 250 watt spot light and forgot it on top of a 20 Gal long with 2 baby Tiger Retics. When I got home the snakes were dead. Cause of death? hmmmm maybe they over heated a little.

So yes when I have had snakes die I usually know why. That is not the Case with this Albino Boa.

Hope this answer your comment, Luis
