Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I meant to say that his quote was "A man is nothing without his word." Here is the email he sent on 5/13:
[todd, your money was sent out yesterday. please inform me when you recieve it. michael]
Did not recieve anything as of yet. Got another email on 5/16 stating:
[have not heard from you. please let me know when you recieve money order. i will be gone until late monday. michael]
This was an effort to cover his ass I believe. So in the meantime, I got a computer crimes detective involved and he contacted Michael. He told Michael to square up with me, and once again Michael said that the money had been sent. Here was the cops email to me on 5/22:
[Todd:

I spoke with him and he informed me that he had sent the money back to you. You should have it this week I would expect. Let me know when you receive it.]

I did not recieve it, so I called Michael again. This time he said that he wasn't supposed to talk to me on the phone, and that he would file a harrassment complaint if I called again. A couple of hours later, I recieved a call from a deputy at the Wisconsin Sherriffs dept. where Michael lives (not in Chicago, as someone else stated, Will Slough lives there from what I heard, and Mike has animals at his place-but that is irrelavent here). The deputy told me he filed a complaint, and I couldn't call again. So here I am, out $750, and could possibly be arrested if I continued to try to claim my money!!! This guys a pro. So here on 5/29 I am yet to hear from him, and still have no sign of payment. There are about 10 other people I found, who are also owed thousands in money and animals. A few big names are on this "list". Yes, it wasn't the smartest thing sending this guy money not knowing who he was. But here's the thing: I looked on here at Fauna's great BOI and saw all of these people backing him up!!! So people think twice about what you read here. I had heard of Evan Stahl and NERD, and thought he much be legit. Evan, you should re-think the ethics status of this fine businessman! You don't want to ruin your name (which is pretty big from what I know)defending a convicted felon. I just wanted to point out another thing he told me also: He is in on the Albino Suriname project and new amel retic projects with some big breeders...hhmmm I talked to them and they didn't know this. So he is not just claiming to be into retics Evan...He says he's got plenty of boas,burms,balls,etc. Just wanted to point that out since you said he was only into retics. Don't mean any derogatory targeting at anyone, I just want justice and to help other people out before they become the victims here.

I also wanted to say to do a search on him. A while back there was a deal between him and Rick Tozer. Rick was brokering animals for Whitefeather, and Michael never sent animals to the people Rick found to buy the animals from Mike. So to protect Ricks reputation, he paid all these people their money back out of his own pocket. He told me that it was over $5000, not to mention he also got screwed on animals he bought from Michael for himself. It's an interesting thread...hope this helps.
 
I'm not one to run my mouth and didn't want to get into this, but I was hoping that this may help others out here. This has been a very bad situation, and a hard lesson learned.
 
Anything regarding losing hard earned money is a bad situation. This guy said he would return your money so he should.
 
I just got an animal from Michael yesterday and was on the phone with him today as he sent it out and gave tracking number to me as well as pics of the animal he sent me. I have retic questions and contact him for some of these questions and other conversation and usually touch base with him. Granted people be are busy but he gets back to you in a timely fashion. People also need to take into account that he is a new father and is most likely really really busy taking care of his newborn, don't know if I needed to post that much info but it is definately a new world when you have a newborn to take care of.

I don't think this is the proper way "to get Whitefeathers attention" He does have email, home phone, cell phone.

Giving out wrong info just cause you might be upset with someone to start problems to get someone's attention, not the right approach.

I'm going to stick with my thoughts on Michael,Matthew. NOONE is to busy to conduct business and do things they promise they will do. I don't buy it. You were pretty worried a few days ago, when you emailed me looking for the cops info....I'll leave it at that.
 
You told me to contact the cops on Michael Whitefeather and I did cause I didn't know what was going on with things and I talked to him and found out nothing about the situation that you had told me about and have contact a person you said had a problem with Michael and he to has nothing bad to say about Michael either, seems like fishing to me. I don't know the details and don't want to know just checked things that you said I need to check and it pointed out nothing really sorry.

Another thing is that when someone brings something up to me I go straight to the source and ask about things instead of other methods. Before you brings name into things that don't have problems with someone or is not truely upset at someone don't bring them in before you talk to them about it

Maybe I missed it, but what "wrong info" has been given in this thread? Has someone been lying to us all?

On another note, I can fully understand the hectic nature of a household that is greeting a new baby into the family! As a father of three, I can relate in every way. However, it's not like a new baby sneaks up on you, or anything. Unless there has been a breakthrough in science since I last became a father, he's had some nine months to prepare for the blessed event, and that most definitely INCLUDES taking care of his customer's concerns.

When I am looking to buy anything, if someone is too busy to be giving me every proper consideration as a paying customer, he is certainly too busy to be counting MY money! If Mr. Whitefeather has been unfairly categorized as a "Bad Guy" here, he needs to make the true facts known. If he has simply allowed the pressures of newly acquired fatherhood to keep him from doing his duty as a seller of animals, he need to rectify the situation as soon as possible!

Send the guy his snakes, or tell us all why they are not owed to him! Don't just let this thread linger on with no closure one way or the other. To do that makes him look apathetic at best, and guilty at worst.
 
I am not making any excuses for him. I have no problem reaching him when i need to chat with him. I at times talk to him more than sometimes 3x a week at times.

The names were given to me on the phone and I talked to the person whose name was given to me on the phone and that person indicated that he didn't have any problems with Michael like indicated when I was told on the phone

Matthew,I'm not going to go to war with you here...First of all, going to the source is not an available option to me. Like I said, he has a harassment complaint on me which is ridiculous. I'd like to know who you contacted because all of the names I gave you contacted me,telling me of their sour deals with him. Matthew, you pointed out all of the obvious,but believe me, you have no idea of what i've been through trying to just simply get my money. If I lived close like you, I may have a better shot of receiving something. Yes he has email,and a couple of phones,but that doesn't mean that I will get a response from him. He doesn't answer either of them. You stated that he responds in a timely fashion: Michael even stated himself that he was on "Indian Time",whatever the hell that means!!! I suppose that means just blowing people off. I could go on and on, so to those seriously interested in the details,shoot me an email.
 
Also Matthew,please indicate either by email or phone to me, the person whom I told you about that did not have a problem deal with Michael. That's one thing I will not be labeled is a liar!!! And I particularly remember you saying that you couldn't get in touch with Michael...that's why you wanted to contact the authorities! And now you're saying you can contact him whenever,sometimes 3 times a week! Something is contradictory here...
 
I had indicated that sometimes he can be hard to get ahold of. At certain times I am hard to get ahold of. Just like I am sure at certain times you are hard to get ahold of. You approached me "you should contact these people including this certain police officer about shady dealings with Michael but I hope your deal goes through with him fine." I did contact some people just to see what the scoop was.

One thing everyone here needs to cease immediately is making anonymous third party quotes. Saying that you spoke to "someone" and they gave him a thumbs up or thumbs down reference is not fair evidence because it is virtually anonymous without identifying whom gave the reference. If they cannot, or will not, come here and say it themselves, or will not allow YOU to quote them and provide their names, that sort of hearsay is not welcome on this board.

mathew a whole week and no reply.no body is that busy.i have a 2 year old myself.i make time.i work 12 hour days,a wife,a 2 year old,5 retics,and i find time.i think god himself could find 5 min.for someone he has a few grand with.as for todd write the check and put it in the mail.5-10 min.for that.mike doesn't even have a job.matt you might fall for that story but not me.

Brian, I know Mike and have done business with him a couple times. We are not cose friends and don't talk outside of shows much.

1) I appreciate that you complimented me on my reputation. I work hard to provide great animals and really do appreciate when I am complimented, BUT, I am not sure you read my posts well. I did not in any way take any sides in the thread. I gave Paul a bunch of suggestions on how to resolve his problem and how to better present his case here. That is all that I have done. I did not say " your wrong" "don't accuse Mike" or anything of the sort. I said "certified mail" "fly to his house" "Letter from lawyer" "small claims court", etc. How you could interpret those suggestions as anything pro Mike, I have no idea. I thought I was explaining to somebody how to solve their problem and get their money back since they seemed to have no clue how to do it on their own.

2) Watch that flawed logic of categorizing people. That is really a poor choice. When you say that Mike should not be trusted becasue he is a convicted felon. I have some very close friends that were convicted of felonies and served their time. They are now law abiding, tax paying citizens. I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but we could go through a list of the reptiles dealers and breeders in the business and I would say a good half of them have been in jail. Many on animal related charges, many on other stupid things. You can be a convicted felon for shoplifting, driving violations, non payment of child support, it really could be anything. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sorry, I did not mean to be preachy.

3) I was wrong about Chicago. I said that because I always see Mike when I am at shows in Chicago. I apologize. I did not realize he was in Wisconsin.

4) Mike always talks about Bob Clark and always has nothing but nice things to say. I can't tell you anything else on the Clark subject as Bob and I don't really know each other well or talk much. I will say this though, it is a bad idea to bring Bob Clark into this in this fashion. You should contact him and ask him to post on this thread so you have his words here and not your hearsay comments.
