In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Maelstrom reptile ranch BEWARE

Sarah, Do you think its acceptable behavior for a seller to sell and animal at asking price.
afterwards, bashing the buyer for taking advantage of them?

Sarah I see the post you were talking about now. And I have to agree with you and Rob. Vet found no parasites and did not put on medications. So the cause of death could have been a million things.

I honestly have no comment on your situation, because it would completely derail the thread. You should get some kind of screenshot of what he was posting about you, otherwise your evidence is extremely one-sided.

Mike, some of us are trying to piece together what happened and/or assign responsibility. Since you will not provide more information, and about a thousand half-truths have been leveled against you, well....don't act like a jerk.

Dennis - since you are here...I don't care that both you and Mike have said it was a done deal. Clearly, you don't feel it is. Can you offer the proof to the rest of us that you keep saying? Seriously...let it go or provide some backup.

again he admitted to it.

Well if that is the only evidence you are willing to provide, here is my opinion.

You told him that all of his geckos were worth about $50. You then purchased one that turned out to be a much more expensive morph.

If I was in his shoes, I would also feel like you had cheated me. I don't know if you saw pictures before giving him that general price, but you bought a single gecko and it just happened to be a nice one. I'm guessing the rest of his geckos weren't high dollar morphs.

I can't blame him for getting upset after the communications I have seen.

Okay, so now that Sarah has posted the FB posts, I see the name I was hoping I could connect somehow.

aka Jay Perk Lamont, @ https://www.facebook.com/PeRkUrEaSs
aka JayB Dragons & Feeders, @ https://www.facebook.com/JaybDragonsAndFeeders

Seems he's a breeder/vendor in Philly and FB friends with both Amanda and Melissa Reynold's (the OP) husband, Andrew Reynolds. Andrew Reynolds is FB friends with Amanda as well.

Jason/Jay Lamont also posted a Craigslist "warning" against Mike before the most recent one by Amanda's fiancé, Tim Barron. Coincidentally, Amanda and Tim evidently operated a Beardie "rescue" in Orlando before they moved to Butler, PA the first of 2013 (I had asked her in a prior post, she did not answer). Maybe they hoped to resume that "rescue" now in Butler.

Amanda posted a tiny little photo of a dragon with obvious tail damage, but it's very poor quality and thus far has provided no other proof of vet visits, vet amputation or any other photos of the dragon while in her care. She admitted the dragon received no antibiotics (really? after an amputation?) nor did the vet find evidence of parasites or genetic abnormality. The photos taken by Mike prior to shipping show a healthy, even if a tad thin, dragon.
Frankly, and please correct me with photographic proof that I am wrong, the FB photo of the dragon with tail damage Amanda posted cannot even be compared against the very close, clear photos Mike posted at shipping.

If this dragon did perish, I don't believe it was due to the seller's neglect, a genetic fault or tail damage. Geez, I have 7-year old dragon who lost a good portion of her "wrist" flesh and 2 & 1/2 toes completely when her mate accidently bit and "scooped" out the flesh going for a cricket. Her front leg hung limp for a month; it took a good 5 months before she healed up. She went to the vet once and he never recommended amputation. With topical antibiotics, soaking, salves, bandages and daily attention, she is fine 5 years later.

And Dennis ... your deal is null. Your FB post of a half-conversation proves nothing. Yeah, you got a heck of a deal, you know it. Yeah, you paid what he asked because that's what YOU told him they were worth! He asked what you thought they were worth; seems to me you knew exactly what they were but were not exactly forthcoming in your appraisal, so in a sense you took advantage. He did say something about "trying to educate myself", after all. And, you too, are a FB friend of Andrew Reynolds, also, aren't you?

At any rate, even given Mike's defensive posture, it looks more and more like intimidation/bullying and baseless smearing by Beardie breeders/friends.

Didn't this Jay guy work with Malestrom at the rescue at one point? or ran it with him or something?

You told him that all of his geckos were worth about $50. You then purchased one that turned out to be a much more expensive morph.

WRONG. When i went to his page. It was ALREADY priced at 50.00.

And again its a RESCUED gecko, IMO THERE IS NO "RESCUE" worth more than that.

and its not derailing the thread when someone esle posts to the character of the person in question. that's the point of this forum

Laterob,
sorry wasnt trying to be a jerk, just so tired of the back and forth arguing.
Now that I see Jay perk Lamonts name I know its a small band of haters that have ridden me from the beginning. I hadnt seen the other slam on Hoobly, who posted that?
Given the full nature of all the undue defamation, Im feeling less and less like any recompense is forthcoming. This is a liable campaign.
----------------------------------------------
LodMetal, Jay and I did work together under the name 'King Roach' and when I saw he was not replacing DOAS I left him as he refused to make good.
Im not opening up another case for BOI on that but thats when all the harrassment on me started, look at all the name changes.

I requested at the time Amanda notified me of the pinch that it not be shown because of all that is going on here,
I didnt know she was part of that group or id have avoided the sale completely.
My offereing a German Giant Cross was genuine and my first attepmt to resolve and satisfy the issue.
Covering my butt was certainly not the issue, avoiding this bandwagon of haters was.

Okay, now that credibility of OP (who is not Amanda) has been crushed, how about this:

Mike, in the last FB post Amanda posted, you mentioned trying to buy a wholesale litter so you'd have more to vend at a show. Does that sound like business a rescue would engage in? Are you a registered 501(c)3?

why does who i am friends with on fb have anything to do with anything...and in fl i took in like 3 beardies and rehomed them....all the rest were bought i was going to do a rescue type thing in fl but then we ended up moving to PA so now there is no point. I didnt even get as far as the paperwork for it being finished. we re-homed 3 dragons 2 free of charge and 1 my friend payed only shipping. all the rest of the dragons we have are paid for. even the one buried in the ground. this is not about Jay or who ever else this is in reference to the situation at hand I cant help with you all get distracted and change the subject but its its going to continue changing this way then make another half of this post is about someone else and their issue....This forum wasnt alot of help as far i can see. Thanks for your time and have a good day :)

and as far as people on my friends list(which i didnt know had anything to do with this but ok??) most i have added since the death of my dragon including jay he was not added until all this went to hell with malestroms so until you know the whole truth dont speak it. all your doing is making assumptions so since i provided facts i expect the same respect. Thank you

oh and Michael thank you for finally admitting you will not refund HALF of my money. My case is closed i have proved my point

Why did someone else post this thread to begin with? That doesn't make sense to me. If you (Amanda) wanted this posted, you should have posted this, not someone else.

You can't provide proof of what the dragon died of, yet you're accusing genetic defect? What did the vet find when it did the exam? You've yet to provide vet proof of anything found.

I've raised dragons for 7 years and they don't need to have their tail amputated just because of a little pinch, (which I still don't see). Why did you take the dragon to the vet in the first place? For a pinched tail (which is not visible)? If so, then provide PROOF of what the vet treated for.

As for Michael, You just need to stop backtracking and follow through with what you said you were going to do. You're just making yourself look bad by offering something and then back-peddling.
