I was wandering myself why that name in the bank document. It makes sense as Antoine is the French for Anthony. Corey Sawyer (ball python breeder from Canada) was checking this thread a while ago. Maybe he could shed some light in this issue, although it would be understandable if he didn’t want to get involved with all this mess.

I have a strong suspicion there is at least one other individual that has been posting under an alias for quite some time now (probably many more that I'm unaware). One question I have (and maybe this one is for Rich) is how people can send payment to register in the BOI with fake identities. I already know some possibilities (money orders and e-checks) but I'm just curious if there's a way to control that.

Don't you think it is only fair that if someone does a search on you that they actually know who you really are? Right now everything here was posted by "Tony Pharosx" whoever that is. Isn't it possible for you to change your signature here to reflect your REAL NAME? Why do you feel the need to hide behind an alias? Is there something about your actual name you're ashamed of or do you have something to hide? Are you Antoine or is that your partner? I could see Tony being short for Antoine but the last name doesn't match and you've already stated that name is your partners.
If I were Mark I'd insist this whole thread be deleted since it has been posted by a fictitious person. Or better yet, maybe he should have wired the money to Tony Pharosx. That way it would never be claimed.

I did a search of www.whitepages.ca and could find one Seara in Manitoba and no Pharosx in all of Canada. Not one!! Not one in all of the US at www.whitepages.com either. A very unusual name to say the least. A Google search for the term "Pharosx" failed to reveal any references to anyone in the world with that name. A search of www.ancestry.com for all countries failed to reveal even one "Pharosx".

Now Tony, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you are a liar. Best to come clean, don't you think?

Now here's some more evidence, albeit circumstantial but still interesting.

You keep whining about how much Mark owes "me". You never say "us". "I" sent him money, not "we". Seems the bank account is in the name of Antoine (Tony) Seara. But you, Tony, are the one going to the bank and accessing the funds, aren't you, Here on June 15, 2004 you said

I was not able to reach the bank today as I had hoped but will take care...

And the following day

I sent you half the payment...

I do not live in the city, my partner (who deals this hobby as a business) does and we use his address because it is the closest to the airport, we have done this do minimize travel and stress on animals when we ship. Mark knows this, as do our past customers as well. Its not a big secret like your making it out to be.

Very interesting. What has the address that you use on an airport to airport shipment have to do with "stress on the animals"? Someone still has to go to the airport to pick up the animal(s). And since you have made all the arrangements and all of the communications for this "silent partner" who treats this only as a business, isn't going to be you, Tony, yes you Antoine "Tony" Seara, alias Tony Pharosx, who goes to the airport to get the animal(s)?

Doesn't this "explanation" sound like just so much bullcrap? Tony, the only reason Mark and others "know" this is because that is what you have told them. Isn't that so?

Tony, you would have been so much better off leaving this all off of the BOI. Yes, Mark got a black eye but you dug your own grave. And your "friends" over at the Canadian BOI seem not to have much of anything nice to say about you now do they?

The BOI requires that you post your FULL NAME. I guess someone forgot to post his ACTUAL FULL NAME. Please clarify this, Tony. Just from personal experiences, someone who uses a false name can not be trusted. I suggest that everyone use their actual names that way everything is out in the open.

Man, if they really are the same person, this has to be the longest running "Nigerian scam" type deal in history. I'll send you money, then you send some of it back. The only difference is that the wire cleared. I still want to see how Tony explains the name thing. It could very well be another person. I am on dialup and can't load those first 2 pages all the way today with all the screen shots, but was there mention of the snake being sent to Antoine, or was that just used for where the refund should be sent? I think if it is Antoines money, and his name is on the transfer, then his address would need to be used for the transfer, because they will check IDs when he goes to pick up the money, so it makes sense to use his address if they are using his name.
If it is an alias, that does suck, but doesn't change a damn thing about how Mark handled this, because I know damn well he didn't enter this deal thinking" I am gonna be a hero by scamming a scammer". It doesn't matter who it is he boned, he was boning them, but as luck would have it, it is looking like he screwed a bad guy over.
I still want to see more explanation from Tony though before I call him a bad guy.

I've read through this thread and am of the notion that BOTH parties engaged in business practices that were less than ideal and the time frame involved was ludicrous. As much as I hate to say it, a LOT ot people are likely to get cold feet towards the prospect of ever doing business with either of the two involved here, deservedly or undeservedly.

The one thing I haven't seen answered to anyone's satisfaction is how, where, and why "Tony Pharosx" came from Antoine Seara (sp?). Honestly the only time I have ever seen aliases used is when someone is attempting to hide their identity. This is not a common business practice in my experience. This is a hobby/business strongly built on reputation and if you have nothing to hide and want to build on your reputation why would anyone elect to use an alias, and then blatantly skirt, dodge, and just plain ignore the question?!?!?

"Tony", in order to salvage some semblance of your reputation (if that is even possible), please explain the alias to the board. If people are hesitant to deal with you, will you create another alias?

And of course you won't continue. You have been totally exposed as the liar that you are. How's that for irony? You have been using a pseudonym for who knows what reason. What could you possibly say? That yes, in fact you are a liar? We already know that. This thread will accomplish two things. First, it has shown that Mark Miller is less than honorable and is certainly not someone that can be trusted to deliver what he promises. And second, that Antoine Seara a/k/a Tony Pharosx is a whiny liar who may just win the award for the most annoying person on Fauna. After reading this people will think twice about dealing with Mark Miller but they certainly will not deal with Antoine Seara. I wonder what name Antoine will come up with next.
