If I'm not mistaken, isn't it against Paypal TOS to charge someone the service fee (3%)?

OK if Wendy says I owe you the fees then I do. I tried doing the refund option but the way it looked to me it was calculating it off.. I put say 5.00 in and it was sending like 4.55.. To tell you the truth I havent sent a refund before via paypal. The 5.00 fees and then some have already been sent.. I am not sure if that is against their rules or not but it is done to get this whole mess done.. I have the same records on file as Jim does as far as paypal. Now the order woudl have been shipped on Monday if the order had been placed on the 15th when the initial email was asked, then the other order for the eggcrates held it off againa dnI caleld Jim to let him know of this and was told straight out "that is fine". I really do not know what else I can do here to make you happy Jim. I tried to do all I possibly could and well dont think anyone will be able to make you happy. If you would have just told me in the beginning that you needed this asap wll then by gally you would have had it in 3 days just like everyone else gets their order(or faster). And as far as your phone records I dont think that is going to do much since your number was showing up from Oaklahoma(sp) and looks like you use a calling card as well as myself... Here is what I put on the table, since I am sure you have already ordered the flexwatt from someone else I will ship the rest of your order free of any charges just so you dont think that MG Reptiles is as bad as you say it is.

I realy dont understand whay you come to me with all of this hostility and try to blame me for things that YOU asked me to do or that YOU knew of in the first place. That is the mark of someone who will be in this business for a long while, the ability to respond to problems professionally and with a cool head is what sets true businessmen apart from the jobbers out to do nothing but make a fast buck.

This one sounds like it was 100% miscommunication. It's always nice to see one like this resolved without it having to hit the 100 page mark.

I have ordered from Matt, I found he worked very hard to make things right when something went wrong. IMHO what he is offering is more then generous! I have a hard time beliving that he would tell you something was in stock when it was not. I also belive that he is 100% honest. As far as the pay pal fee I think that is not his responsiblity as he had to pay it also when you sent him the money. He has shown here how far he leans over backwards to help his customers. I have NO problem ordering from Matt and will do so again. If anything this has HELPED his reputation as it shows how far he will go to make people happy. Matt look for an order from me with in the next couple months (got to get the money first )

I do not own a phone card, do not need it. I will post my phone bill when I get it and you will see when I called.

Matt must have me mixed up with someone else because we never spoke about the egg crates, If matt would have told me that he did not have them in stock and instead of telling me how much they were then I would have said for get it.

Matt is still lieing and you poeple believe him.

Matt is trying hard to make it up, I will consider it made up when he finally tells the truth.

An extremely generous offer has been made to rectify the situation. In my opinion, Matt has gone above and beyond. Your response shown above is simply petty bitching at this point. Be a man, accept his offer and get on with your life. The above response does not reflect well on you at all.

There is one point on this that does fall to you that no one has addressed. If you had such an urgent need for the product to satisfy orders, why did you not communicate that to Matt. Unless he knew about your supposed "urgent" need, how was he to know your order needed to be expedited?

Continued harping on this minor situation will only continue to push you further into a bad light....let it go.

Well I am not completly sure what your phone bill will prove. We have talked on the phone yes that is true, several times actually. When you called your number showed up as OK not from MI where your paypal address shows you to be located at. Of course the phone bill will not show anything! And I was the one that called you to let you know about the delays that you ok'ed with me. Maybe you should post the bill as to show the phone call I just received from you as "anonymous call" telling me how I better hope you never come to West Virginia and find me.. Done you think it is a little childish to want to hurt someone over some flexwatt?

I never got rude until I never got my order. so if the order would have been filled there would not have been any problem.

Let me make this perfectly clear. Jim, by your own words you were "rude" to Matt on his answering machine before you even found out anything. I fully stand behinds Matt's decision to refund your money. I would have (and have) done the same to customers who get rude and abusive because you arent' hovering over the phone waiting for the second they call. There are plenty of GOOD customers to replace them.


Matt, the paypal this is an understandable mistake. If Jim would agree to refund what you sent as payment, then you could still go in and refund his payment, nullifying any of the fees. This is perfectly within Paypals TOS.

I just have to say that I bought from Matt twice this month and everything was shipped as he said it would be, very well packed and he was more than helpful.

The reason I would say that Matt is not a lair is because I Have dealth with him and becuse of a question I aksed him.

I told him my husband wanted to wire the second batch of heat tape (we paid him to wire the first set) and I asked him if my husband wired the heat tape and screwed it up could he burn my house down, Matt replied, yes it could that any electrical connection could be dangerous and cause problems, But that the heat tape was easy to wire and he was sure my husband could handle it and that if I needed any help along the way to just let him know.

Now, alot of people would have said, yes he Will burn your house down and you have to pay me to wire it.

Just my 2 cents, I trust Matt!
