    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I guess I mistyped something...I meant to say I was wrong for NOT believing you are going out of business.
I was showing by posting your adds that you are getting rid of your animals, and possibly getting out of the biz.

Well there are still alot of stuff when I have babies coming.
There at one point was 106 snakes, now down to about 25 without babies.  

I don't know why I have to justify anything really.  Yep some people don't like me and guess what mutual feelings but I am not dwelling on things, if you guys want to keep posting here then post by all means.  I am trimming down alot of things.  I am also keeping a bunch of things so that will mean periodically there will be stuff available.  I also have a couple of BIG projects with people too so there might be stuff popping up off that.  Those animals that I have projects with people I am not getting rid of those animals and they aren't buying them from me or buying me out of them before anyone asks or questions it.  Like I said I have a reference list that you are very free to view and email the people and ask about things, but I know that won't happen but the option is still there.

Do what you guys have to on this

I think you may have jumped the gun on this one. After reading these latest posts, I think you misinterpreted Ritchies' meanings and intentions. He was only trying in his own way, IMO, to correct past mistakes. He seemed to be attempting to show good faith towards you. Granted, some messed up stuff went down and was said in the past, but he has publicly apologized to you. What more do you want? A blood atonement is out of the question. Although I would like to say it is refreshing to see you handling yourself responsibly as of late. Quite a turn around from the way you used to conduct yourself. Given, you don't have to like each other, but you should give credit where credit is due. As I am doing and Ritchie has been trying to do. Before you go on the defensive, take a look at what is actually being said. It doesn't make up for past wrongs (actual or perceived), but at least it is a start.     I just finished reading this WHOLE thread and I a little drained!LOL
    Anyway, from someone on the outside looking in I can only offer opinions. So, here goes.
    Matt you had bad dealings before that in itself does not make you trustworthy.  On this issue of only hearing about the bad things forever, well those tend to piss people off a little more than the bad.   You say you are turning over a new leaf?  Than prove it, post your LONG list of references so if someone wants to by from you, they can come on here and look them up.  Get a few satisfied customers that show you are a new man.
   Richie, well we all make mistakes and I commend you on saying so publicly.

Now that this thread has been dredged up again, I do have one more comment/question that has been bugging me.  When I met with Matt and Barry and took their pictures, we also sat and talked for a while at the truck stop.  Barry told me how, because of this thread, he had been kicked off of Kingsnake.com. His advertising account was shut off (with no refund given even though he had just paid for it)  that Kingsnake.com also accused him of fraud, and called his local law enforcment to file a complaint against him.   As far as I know, Barry had never had a customer complaint against him, and was just trying to get a new business going.  He is the true injured party here.  It bothers me that Kingsnake.com can do something like this to a person without a shed of hard evidence to back up their accusations.  

Matt, can you tell me if any of this has changed?  Has Barry been refunded his money or had his account reactivated?  Has he received any kind of an apology from Kingsnake.com?

Sorry to dredge this up, but when Barry told me this story it just didn't set right with my sense of fair play and has been bugging me for a while.

No there hasn't been any refund for Barry or reinstatement of his account.  Guess who contacted Kingsnake.com about all this?  

I am currently gathering all the conversations that was had with Law Enforcement here and going to push the issue when someone can make false accusations (talking about Jeff at Kingsnake, not you Richie) to law enforcement without a shread of evidence and then nothing taken back or refunded.  

Shows who the real problems are with in this Industry, not trying to take any heat off my past dealings but does anyone ever complain or have a problem with Kingsnake.  They just figure that they can push whomever around they want as long as they keep your money who cares, they don't.



How is the new rack doing?  You were suppose to let us know how it was working for you.  We are getting ready to come to the next meeting i think.

To Mark S.  Actually since Barry Riska posted animals for sale for Matthew Martin he broke the stated rules of Kingsnake.Com.  It states very clearly you cannot use your account to sell animals for someone else.  Does it occur anyways on there Yes, why was Barry's account revoked, simply someone obviously  brought it to Kingsnakes attention that he was breaking the rules, and since that was the case kingsnake is under no obligation to refund anything since when you "buy" your account you agree to the terms and services of the agreement, one of which is no using your account to advertise/sell someone elses animals.  Why do I know all this information about kingsnake.  Well thats pretty simply I read the rules when I signed up for my account.  Not jumping on anyone here just want to bring some facts into this thread.

I started this thread...so I will take the responsibility and try to talk to Jeff.   I will point out that the story about them being different people is the truth.  I can't make a comment on the story of Matthew selling his snakes to Barry etc etc.  I have no data to prove it or disaprove it.

Mark.  I think the three strikes rule was not applied in this case because I believe that Matthew Martin was banned from Kingsnake (correct me if I am worng).  And this thread showed signs of the two being the same person.   He probably came here and saw that Matthew posted under Barry's screen name and took action from there.

You can't really blame him.
1.  There were signs all over that the  two was actually one.
2.  The adds posted by Matt were the same as the adds posted by Barry.

So If they were NOT the same person....Jeff had enough reason to believe that Barry was actually selling for Matt.  Which is against kingsnake rules


but as aforementioned....I will go tell him they are different people and I was actually wrong.
 
Well Mark, I've kept a very close eye on this thread and I'm aware of whats going on.  Are you trying to tell me that Barry Riska did NOT post an ad on kingsnake advertising for sale any of Matthew Martins animals ??  If that is what you are saying I'm sorry but you are mistaken.  In fact there was an ad on kingsnake by Wrath's Reptiles/Barry Riska who is not Matthew Martin for a Black Boa.  That snake belonged to Matthew Martin, so he was selling a snake for someone else plain and simple, there is no 3 strike rule for that.  Is it fair that he was singled out when there are so many people doing that and even stating in their ads they are selling the snake for someone else, absolutely not, but it was obviously brought to Kingsnakes attention.
As for my views on this entire thread, all I can say is that I use to live in Winona MN and I knew Matt when he was first starting out.  I've done a couple of deals with him and they went fine.  I've never met Barry and can't say anything about him personally.

Yes Tony that is what I'm saying but I understand your confusion now.  I met with both Matt and Barry and asked this same question, in fact I asked a couple of times in a couple of different ways to see if I would get the same answer.  I did and it makes sense to me now.   Matt sold a lot of snakes to Barry as part of a  package deal.  At this point all of the snakes in the lot were Barrys property.  Barry then kept the snakes that he wanted to keep and re-sold the ones that he didn't want to keep, which were the same ones that Matt had tried to sell earlier.  This really isn't an unusal business arrangement in our hobby, I've known other people who bought a package deal and then resold most of it because they only wanted to keep a couple of individual snakes in the package.  

Anyway thats what Matt and Barry told me, and I believed them.  So you can see that the snakes that Barry was selling on Kingsnake.com were his own property and NOT Matts.

Thank you Ritchie, that's a very generous offer and I appreciate it, I'm sure Barry will too.  It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong, but it takes a bigger man to swallow his pride and try to set things right again.

I disagree with this, granted my first thought was that they were the same person. Especially when Matt posted under Barrys login (I gotta admit, I still get a chuckle out of that).  But then I thought "what if they're not the same person?"  If not then someone was being unfairly treated,  thats a big part of why I made the offer to meet with them in the first place.  And frankly if either of them had been a paying customer of mine, I would be more inclined to check things out a bit more thoroughly before taking action against them.  I think kingsnake.com should have at least given him the benifit of the doubt. To hear Barry tell it, they didn't even want to hear his side of the story, they just accused him of fraud and booted him off.

Sorry about not writing Matt, I know I said I would but I've only had the Boaphile Rack set up now for a couple of weeks. But, already I couldn't be happier.   Now I wonder why I waited so long.  I will definatly be getting some more of these as soon as I can afford it and will eventually be replacing all of my melamine racks.  Maybe I'll see you at the meeting. Lately I've been getting there late and leaving early.  I'm still working the evening shift so I've only been able to hit the herp society meeting on my lunch break.

All the animals were Barry's and then when all this hit I bought some of them back from Barry and turned around and sold them myself being Barry didn't even want to deal with it at the time.

Someone needs to contact Jeff and have Jeff actually contact Barry cause Jeff won't even return Barry's emails or anything.

Nicole, how far away is Cook?  Why don't you guys work out an arrangement to meet someplace for the transaction?  As far as Gino's statement, Matt has never wronged me, but Gino has made false statements before.
