yes i got an infraction ,and as stated you need to censer what is written even if it is a third party , but i do not agree with censoring the whole word , from how this one is censored above you do not get the full impact of what chris called her you could only use your imagination and i don't think anyone would EVER imagine someone calling these things . well like i said be for their are going to be those that do not read fauna bio and buy from him . also i tried to leave negative feedback where he has positive but it will not allow me to ? i do not understand why since i had dealings with him in a negative way . i think it would also help those who also had negative dealings to leave poor feedback i think a few of those who might perchance from him may read his feedback first . i doubt many but on the off chance they do .feedback is more probable then bio is

Toni, you are right. The full impact is lost. For those of you reading, just imagine the worst thing you can call a woman, and that is what has been censored.

This issue of censoring profanity really isn't cut and dry, and I do hope the mods will take it case by case. Spawn, I am not someone who gets offended at cussing. Get me riled, and I cuss like a sailor myself. :laugh: But some language goes well beyond cussing and basic insults, and belongs in the realm of assault. The words that Chris leveled at me definitely crossed that line. So how do we preserve the full impact of language and still maintain decorum? You can try to imagine 3 and 4 and 5 letter words where they have been asterisked, but you can't know what is really being said when someone has to censor words.

I must apologize to Gillian, as its my fault she got in trouble. She did not know what to do with the emails and -I- asterisked them for her. I was unaware that you have to bleep the whole word as I have seen others on many many threads just * out the vowel. Rosebud: Thank you very much for your opinion. I do have a good heart but it was easy to trust that chris would do the right thing. He did and Like I said, I was taught to reward good no matter how bad they have been before. I have children so I try to let them know that even though they mess up and it will not be downplayed or overlooked, if you do something good, it will definately be noticed and rewarded.. Just the parent in me.. Even though I believe Chris (if the 1970 is any indication) to be 38 years old.. and it is quite sad that a grown man behaves this way. Lets just say Im glad he isnt MY child nor would any child of mine behave that way. I PRAY he does not have children of his own...I cannot think of a woman who would even find his behavior attractive. And I know some iffy women..
Under 18 years, I can understand not be responsible for your actions, but this has downright ridiculous. I do not recall the outcome of your situation, Did the lizard arrive safely?

And just for the record, MY frogs were shipped overnight with tracking.

Amanda, yes, I got the lizard, and it lived, but only because the people at my Post Office know me very well, and they knew to look for it. They were good enough to call me after hours on a Sat. when the last truck was unloaded. The lizard stayed in a box for 4 days, and would surely have died had it waited until Monday.

I wish you could edit posts too, but I have also seen people constantly edit their posts on other forums when they got negative feedback. That feature can be used to edit history!

I think they should give you a time limit..like 5minutes.. that way once it posts and you see it, you will notice the misspelling and can instantly fix them, but cannot go back later on and rewrite everything to make yourself seem better..


And Im sorry that he treated you that way. I tried imagining what the 3 letter words are and I cant think of anything..Maybe my mind wont go that far, so yes, it does lose impact. I think first and last letter should be allowed. I hope that one day he will apologize formally to everyone he has screwed over. I never got an apology but he didnt treat me anywhere nearly as bad as he did you and gillian and I find it appalling and disgusting.

So, has anyone from here updated the other Chris link to let whomever there know what he has done wrong? I know someone attached a link to here but I havent made it over that way to check it out and see whats come of it.

NO one will ever imagine or can imagine what Chris said . and yes i can match word for word with the best of them . but never in my life would i ever use such words as Chris . nor anyone i ever had the pleasure of meeting. the things that came up in this sight is one of the worst i have ever come across , in the fact of lies . theft, and vulgarity , but i have to say it looses a lot of its impact with how it has to be censored . if i would be just someone that read it i would think OK some got the shaft but they got their product . and then some . along with they eventually got their money back , it has nothing about what a real shock jock he is ,and as far as the threats it is OK i have big boys that will beat you up . these are things i heard in grade school. my next step is finding out how i put negative feedback ..........the purpose of this link is settled , nothing more can come from it . it is to censored to show the real impact of dealing with this person is .all **********show nothing. and prove nothing.

I would suggest you both join the Hell forum on this site. You can let the words fly there.

You can edit your post on all the other forums on this site just not on the BOI. The reasons are spelled out exactly why in the rules section.

This has been THE WORST experience I have had in dealing with anyone on the web and I would warn anyone who is considering buying from him to save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. If you have read any of this thread and still decide to buy from him, you have nobody to blame but yourself if he screws you over. He lies and uses foul language...he has even made threats as you can see from a few posts back. Not a direct threat, but a roundabout one alluding to the fact that he will send the Hell's Angels in retaliation for bad mouthing him. What a LOSER!

Very bad experience for sure and shows what one can expect from dealing with Chris. Also, it had some positives for others. You got to see how others stepped up to help someone out in this hobby/business/community.

You would be surprised how many bad guys got caught in the headlights because they typed something out in anger or in haste and could not go back later to retract their words. Simply proof read your posts and use the spell checker BEFORE clicking that "Submit Reply" button. And don't ever be in a hurry to engrave your words in concrete.

I saw that you all had a storm to deal with last week, so I assume that is why you didn't respond to my last email or send the lizard. Please send it this week or I really would like a refund. It has been nearly two months, and though there have been some extenuating circumstances lately wit the storms, its getting kinda ridiculous. Chris, we are home, and the universe was very kind to us. There is no damage to the house, though this whole area is a twisted mess! We even have electricity two weeks ahead of the estimated time! Chris, I have not heard from you for another week. There are other legless lizards available right now on KS. Please send the lizard or give me a refund so that I can get one from someone else. This has gone on for over 4 months now. There have been a few understandabe delays, some of which I was forced to make, but you could have sent it more times than not, and especially could have in the last two weeks. I have been home from the evacuation for two weeks now. You say that you don't intend to rip me off, but it sure feels like you are when you don't even answer my emails. If you are really a conscientious person, send the lizard or refund my money.

Dennis, you're right. Us girls get very upset with the c word, as we, and guys should, but the most important thing about the emails is his behavior. If censored language needs explaining, we can always preface it with the gist like you have here, right?

I hope Chris gets out of reptiles, and gets therapy for that anger and abusive tendency, and I hope no one is foolish enough to give his or her hard earned money to him. Everything he is selling can be bought elsewhere without the insults, the frustration, and the wasted time. If anyone reading this thread would like an alternative to buying from him, contact me. I know a lot of GOOD GUY vendors, and lots of others in this thread and forum do too.

i do not need to go to another place to write words that are really inappropriate . this link was made for one reason only to get back money that was taken for goods not delivered .not to see what wording i can get away with . it ran into the rest of the things that accompanied the fact .forty some pages later. and i don't think spell check is needed for one to understand what is said.that comment is belittling. i still don't feel that staring out the whole word is not needed . but they are faunas rules and that is fine . if ever i need to post about someone again...... god forbid .... i will respect the rules . as long as fauna is in business their are going to be those who complain and those who feel that they can take whatever they want and abuse who ever they want . this is the reason bio is here am i correct? without those who purchase and use fauna like me their will be no need to have a moderator or a sight that no one uses. and without being able to express what happened and ask others that use fauna these people will not come back to use fauna again . i am glad we have moderators to keep some in check . including me . i used profanity when i was very angry myself and when ONE of the guests reading said no profanity needed . he made me take a step back , he was right . it was totally uncalled for on my part , it was out of anger i stumbled this does not happen often. but for some it is not ,like Chris .the ones that are the victims to this behaver i have found have waited a very long time after several posts to post their experience .and i am sure their was many more, and was afraid to do so also because what is acceptable with a moderator .i still think they should be able to post and if a moderator does not like it then they can go back and remove it .i have told several people that go to the twice monthly animal expo about fauna , i will have to reevaluate my readiness to do so over a hundred vender's know me and so do many costumers.fauna can work for someone or work against them .and i myself don't need a bad name because of someone like Chris.someone like Chris is totally a predator and is not good for anyone to have dealings with . you don't know if it is going to be good or bad , and from what i believe bio should be where those can get help and decide from all postings if this is the person they want to do business with.from what i have seen and read this is Chris's mo. all i have to say is i am glad this link is over

I think BOI is great! In fact, I have more respect for it now, even with the rules and the censorship, because I can see that it works! The real Chris Sulwer has been exposed, thanks to this forum, and it will hurt his business. I strongly believe that these threads and the exposure and chastising are what made him pay everybody back, and I agree with Lucille. He had to have some respect for this forum to threaten me with gang retaliation. I think that's a laugh, but you never know.

I am sorry that you have infractions that don't seem fair, but they pass. I have a few from another thread that I probably deserved, but I will just try to be a good girl until they go away. :laugh: As far as censorship goes, I see the necessity on a public forum such as this. There are ways you can get around it, like invite people to hell to see the uncensored emails or invite people to request private copies by pm or email. I think that the impact of those emails came through when the people like you and Lucille, who saw them in the raw, commented.

I hate that everyone had to go through such an ordeal, but I am glad for this thread. It gave me a chance to let off some steam that I have been stifling for awhile about Chris, and he got exposed. BOI worked, IMO.

I think the discussion of the rules is starting to dilute the focus of this thread and would be better discussed in the feedback forum.

When future readers take the time to read through what people have written, I would like for them to be able to reach the same conclusion that I have reached: that sending money to Chris is not a good idea, that he has repeatedly had upset and unsatisfied buyers, and that any transaction with him could take months and still end up unsatisfactory.

I do think the offered quotes are important to show evidence of Chris' character or lack thereof, but even bleeped they show more of him than anyone should want to deal with.
