    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We placed an order with Matt on April 4th for the following:

1 Scale weighing in 0.05 gram increments
1 Ranco thermostat
40 foot of 3" 10 watt heat tape

On 4/6/06 our credit card was charged and we assumed the order was on the way.
On the morning of 4/8/06 we decided we needed to add something to our order so we called Matt to see if he sent it out yet. He hadn't and we added 3 foot of 11" heat tape to our order. He told us the order was going out that day. Our credit card was charged again on the 8th and we again waited for our order.
On 4/18/06 we contacted Matt to tell he we had not received our order yet and wanted to know what the hold up was. Here is the e-mail we sent:

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for your email. Your order shipped on the 6th,
and you should received it for sure by now.. I will

confirmation so the USPS doesn't lose it or send this
one back.. I apologize for the delay and will have the
problem corrected with an urgency! If and when you
receive the original order please return it and I

Ok if the order was shipped on the 6th then how did you add the 11" heat tape on the 8th?????

So anyway.......the order was not shipped out until 4/24/06 per the USPS tracking number (0103 8555 7496 9813 0307) ....... we received the order on 4/26/06 but we didn't receive what we had actually ordered. this is what was in the box:
1 Ranco thermostat.....correct!
1 Scale weighing in 5 gram increments......Wrong! We made it perfectly clear that we needed to weigh small knob-tail geckos and it needed to be in 0.05 gram increments which Matt said it was.....and he still has that in his ads and website.
40 foot of 3" heat tape 6 watt.......Wrong! We also make it very clear that we needed 10 watt tape. Matt said he never sells 6 watt only 10 watt.....so how did we get 6 watt ?????
3 foot of 11" heat tape......correct.

Ok we called Matt to report the problems .....he actually told us that he thought the tape was 10 watt and that he must have shipped out 500 foot of 6 watt tape without knowing to others ......he asked us to ship the incorrect items back to him and he would credit us the different $120.99 + the return shipping which was $11.00 through USPS.

We sent the items back on 5/2/06 and I made sure to get a delivery conformation # on it......on 5/4/06 their was an attempted delivery and a notice was left........the order has still not been claimed from the post office and if it isn't picked up soon it will be returned to us again..........here is the tracking number to the order we returned.
0305 0830 0002 0370 3406 ...........We have left 4 messages with him since we returned the order.......he will not return our calls.......but he seems to have enough time to post new ads on the other classified websites daily.

I don't think anyone should have to go through this to get what they paid for..........don't get me wrong.....we all make mistakes now and again but I would hope that most of us would fix the problem as soon as it is brought to our attention.........it is 5/10/06 and we have not resolved this problem........I don't want to do a credit back on my credit card but I'm afraid Matt has left us no choice.

Wow this doesn't seem like Matt at all. I am by no means saying you are wrong but there has to be a reason why this hasn't been taken care of yet. I have ordered from Matt at least 4 times with perfect customer service every time. Matt, what's going on?
 
I have had both smooth and not so smooth transactions with Matt. Matt did offer to fix his mistakes which is all that can really be asked. But yes your situation has certainly drug out much too long.
 
From the looks of it you have been flat-out lied to at least 3 times. I would have lost patience already and started a CC dispute several days ago.
 
I can also say that I have had good transactions with Matt. Im sure he'll chime in here to say whats going on......
 
Um yeah, you must not check your email. I sent you several emails letting you know I had the order back and the card had been refunded, so the problem is???? We have sent the scales back and have repacements on the way(yes you got one that is a 5 gram) and I have put the leftover flexwatt in my own personal stash.. Your credit card was refunded days ago man!! I have 3 shipping tables with 500' rolls of 3" on each on, luckley that only went to you and one other person(they were notified and kept the ement but I still gave them a refund!) I never received a message from you, not the first one!!! Now I am not one to call someone a liar but there are several lies you have told in your post..

Nothing about your collection was discussed until you called to let me know the scale was off. You then told me what it was for and I told you to send it back and I would even refund the shipping back to me!!

Your order was indeed shipped the day when you called,(sorry I dont know the date you called). The USPS site would not let me ship because it said
"the address was invalid" so I shipped it direct through the post office. Just like your post says I said, if you receive it please send it back to me.. So I reshipped you a second order, no questions asked!! Again whats the problem?

I bought a hogg island off of Matt a month or two ago and the transaction was perfect. I'm glad everything worked out and the problems were taken care of.

i purchased some supplies from Matt a while ago...after one week i hadn't received me order... i emailed him and he said he was backed up from the holidays or something... he threw in some forceps, and a thermometer for my troubles (which i really had no use for)... but i did get what i paid for.

although he was courteous, and professional... i would be more likely top shop around first.
 
Never had a problem with Matt Myself. He's always taken care of everything as I'd expect Him too. Even rushed stuff to Me when I needed it like yesturday. He seems to have taken care of this days ago also. In a timely manner it would seem, just as all My experiences with Him.

What Dennis said is probably the case. Slow banks. I don't know what they do with the money while they are making us wait though. LOL That would be interesting to know. I'd give it a couple days longer, it'll show up.

I would like to know as well. I waited a couple of weeks for a few thousand dollars to show back up, after I knew the credit was issued.

How convenient is it that you claim to have e-mailed me........where is the proof that you did????? I would have personally contacted my customer to bring them up to speed on the situation........I guess common professional courtesy isn't required when someone is returning something.

if you guys follow the link it will plainly show the shipping info was entered on the 24th......not the 18th..........its also convenient for you to swear that you shipped my order on the day we spoke when in fact we didn't speak we e-mailed you.........

How can you insinuate that we are story tellers......we are a very well know member of the reptile community and I would never come here unless I absolutely thought I just got taken for a ride.........you my friend have a lot of answers but nothing to back them up.....you e-mailed us but we didn't get it.......you claimed the package days ago but usps forgot to update their page.......you sent the order out on the very day you realized we didn't get the first order but you don't remember the date.......you claimed to send a first order but I never received a tracking number for that one nor did it ever show up..........we left you 4 messages but you didn't get any of them.......

Why on earth would we come here to make you look bad.........we would have loved for this transaction to go great.........were are in no way looking to give anyone a bad name for no reason........

You dropped the ball on this one man......and if you guys don't see it well then there is nothing I can say to change you mind......

Only one tracking number was provided, so which number are you referring to Nichole?

Also, Matt did provode the proof that your money was refunded. Have you called your credit card company yet?
