In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

MGREPTILES Trouble with shipment

Sorry about the duplicate post but the first one got screwed up and was confusing. If a moderator wants to delete my first attempt....great

IMO the dimmer switch's being broken is explainable. Plastic breaks pretty easily when it freezes. It looks like there is a slight overhang on the electrical box so it is probable that they broke during shipping by banging against each other. The missing insulators is more difficult to explain away though.

I can't believe Matt or Ken would purposely sabotage the shipment to "look better" here. Ken has an obligation to get the mechandise back to Matt in the same condition, maybe he can make a claim with UPS.

We are Friday morning the 8 of December and when I opened my mail I saw that Matt had left me 3 messages then going to the Fauna site I read his posts. I have just this to say first the package was delivered the 6 of December Matt took a whole day before opening it second I have a witness from the Postal Office here that wrote on the the return shipping label that the box had never been opened. As far as my finger prints all over the the merchandise I would love for Matt to have them checked. All I wanted was a refund and it has gone as far as this.Unfortunately for me I did not take a picture of the box I had no reason to believe there would be a problem,Why would I intentionally damage the merchandise ,to start this arguing again. If you want to check my credibility I have aprox.2500.00 worth of themostats that I ordered from Spyder Robotics at the beginning of November because of a shipping problem I still have not received them Dion has been paid in full Fed EX knows where the the package is it is on its way just ask Dion if I ever reacted badly.I have better things to do than start a conspiracy against Matt I do not even know him or his past business problems, I just wanted to point out that his customer service was very inadequate and it has escalated to this.In the beginning when I told Matt of the delay for delivery I was also waiting for 14 racks from Vision in Ca. so when I got them before Matt delivered I was not now in a rush but due to the delay and lack of honesty on his part that is why I wanted a refund, if he would have delivered on time I would have kept the order. At this point I really do not know what to do it is beyond me,I think Matt is upset because this caused him alot of attention that maybe he did not want, and he is trying to make me out as the bad guy,
maybe I was harsh on him and some of you did not appreciate my comments but again some of them had been misconsrewed.Do you really think that by breaking the merchandise I would get my money back I will let you be the judge. Ken

Just one more thing I did insure the contents of the box for the amount of 500.00 Canadian so if there is a problem I will just make a claim as far as the missins items, how could I in my right mind take things out,and then ask for a full refund, what good are the clips without the tape but now I guess Matt will say that the tape is also not the right length.but he did not measure it right away. Ken

Who has now that return shipping label?

Thanks.

jaimie, bonkers came out lying. He's most likely lying now.

Pull your head out and take a look, unbiased if you can possibly do that, and then see if you come to the same conclusion.

The hardon you have for Matt is unbecoming and seems to be getting in the way of any common sense you may once have had.

If you think I am lying why not call Scott at Vision and Dion at Spyder Robotics to see if my stories check out Ken from Montreal, and another thing I have mentioned before the altered e-mails were not subjected to spell check which I do use, look for yourself I think you will owe me an apology.I do not even have my web site up yet but I would bet that I have more inventory than some.
Reptile Zone.ca It is a good that you can lift heavy things because you admit to not being very smart Ken

I'm not trying to get in the middle of this whole "love fest" but when you are in a business where you recieve numerous boxes per day, it is not at all unusual to NOT open a box until a day or two later...

Back to your regularly scheduled love-a-thon...

If you have followed the thread I think he would have been a little more interested

What's needed is a picture of the return shipping label stating the package was never opened. That will at least "clear the air" on some of the current issues. Who has now that label? Can a picture be posted?

Thanks

As mentioned more than once by others in this thread, only the two entities involved know exactly what they did and did not do, although I agree with all requests to get as many "facts" on the table as possible. If people had chances to rethink things, or learn from what has happened here, one conclusion might be that the "best defense" to a customer complaint is not always a "good offense" :).

I am sure there are some here that can quote chapter and verse of UPS policy but if the delay in opening a package harms the ability of the shipper to collect on damages then I think the receiver is still on the hook for the entire contents.

Jamie your are indeed a total idiot aren't you.. Good Lord man wake up.. I know your totally obsessed with me but get a life..

If there is visual damage to the box, it needs to be noted with the driver before he leaves. I did not read where that was the case - just that once the box was opened by Matt that there were items missing and packages opened INSIDE the box. I don't think UPS will cover that - nor should they.

Bonks - If there were boxes of sellable merchandise to open, and orders waiting to be filled, I personally would deal with those before worrying about processing a return. Regardless of what some folks here would like to belive, life (and business) does not revolve around the BoI. :)

Ken

So you have the label that states the package was never opened (I assume when being shipped back to Matt). You also said there's a person at the post office that can be contacted that will attest that very same fact. Ami I interpreting everything right?

Thanks

Anyone with a new razorblade can open and seal a box in such fashion that the typical ups agent would never know the box had been opened.

The bubblewrapped parts of the shipment being damaged in the exact same manner is also highly suspiscious.

Let's not forget bonkers opening statement that he would lie, cheat or steal to get his refund.

Seems he's done all the above and is now going to have UPS make up the difference since he had insurance on the contents.

Now just how in the world is the lady at your post office going to know if the package was opened or not? There were 3 layers of tape on the box, 2 were from the original shipment then then it was resealed with the third.

There was no damage to the box at all.

Yes it took me a day to get to the box. I have many orders to fill..

Sir I was NEVER dishonest with you, you are/were the one that is lying.

On the customs form in the customer comments it does say " I didnt open it" or something to that affect. There is no stamp on the box, it customs woudl have opened the box they have to let the receiver know by either marking the customs forms or stamping the box, usualy the latter. So customs is out of the picture as the ones opening the box.

Kenand myself will have the same customs paperwork as he shipped USPS.

Let me know if you would like any pics aas I am more than happy to take them..

Ken just becauce you did this with one person and not another dosent mean a thing. It is what your TRYING to do here that is immoral.

The heattape is intact and hasent been cut.

Your right life does not revolve around the BOI. I used to think there was some real merit in the site but now it is just the wild west with people taking low blows no matter what the issue. Taken with a grain of salt.. Ill try and get beck on tomorrow, got work to do..

Yes I have the label that says it was not opened this was written by a young girl who works part time in a store which has a postal service So I think that it does not pull much weight.I contacted the post office to inquire about the terms of delay to claim damage or loss I have sent them to Matt we will see his response. Ken

You are implying that I am making fraudulent insurance claims those are pretty big accusations, and as far as the lie cheat steal part send me a e mail to see if I can change the wording check the heading he used it seems you have alot of time Ken
