I could care less what you have to state about me, but why would you go and mark Bobby as a bad guy to do business with? To my knowledge he has never had an unsatisfied customer.

He has stated many good things about you in the past. The moment he states some concerns you vote him a bad guy? His vote on yours was related to your service, or lack of it. Your vote was petty and vindictive.

I might add you voted him a bad guy immediately after posting this quote.

You know, I'm having a real tough time with this.

Matt, though I've never met him before or done business with him, was someone I liked and thought well of. I never took issue with his beliefs, though I believe we did have a conversation or two about them over the years.

Now, well heck, now that he's doing whatever it is, I feel that I am not holding to my personal standard if I let this go.

One of the main problems I have with those who profess a certain theological preference, particularly christian, is that they are the BIGGEST hipocrits every to walk to face of the earth.

matt, what the hell is wrong with you? You're failing at everything you took so long to establish. The lying and bullsnotting is just too much.

Damn matt, I am SERIOUSLY disappointed and I don't disappoint easily. It's people like you, the ones I trusted, violating that trust that makes me so much want to ride alone and not with any partiular group or person.

As some others here, I am extremely curious how you can vote Bobby a bad guy after reading the passage above. There is a name for those who quote scripture and act completely the opposite. Wes nailed it. And for the record, I agree that Jim F is right. Hypocrites come in all denominations. I'm really disappointed in your behavior of late Matt. There is no conspiracy here. It is you that is dismantling your reputation.

This is turning pathetic Matt. Voting John Schmitt a bad guy? There is a difference between not agreeing with someone, even disliking them personally, and calling them a bad guy. Bobby I know by reputation only, and I know him to be a good guy. I have met John in person, seen some of his animals, and can attest that they are beautiful and obviously receive excellent care. I doubt that there is anyone more honest in this business (not to say others are not as honest, but if John says it, I believe it). I guess that I should not be, but I am dumbfounded. How very sad for you Matt that it has come to this.

Prior to getting in a football frame of mind, just a few random observations, aka lessons reinforced, that I see when I see a thread like this, in no particular order:

1) If religion is your only friend, you are not heeding your religion;

2) If you declare war against the world, you lose;

3) "We have met the enemy, and he is us" is so true, and so easily defeated if not for pride and vanity and stupidity, which for a few, are insurmountable opponents;

4) A vital ingredient to success in business is that you "out-customer" your competition. At the same time, it should not be so easy for your competition to "out-customer" you.

5) The first damage control for an injury is to "stop the bleeding", not enlarge the wound.

6) If threatening "lawsuit" was an effective means of silencing others, we'd have far less lawsuits.

7) Once again, a problem is often fixed in half the time spent complaining about it.

8) Success is just as much about minimizing your losses as it is maximizing your gains. The former is the more difficult discipline to learn, but just as necessary.

If Matt wants his made of nails, then that is his choice. However I would not look for it to be real comfortable, he need not look to me for padding.

IMO, he made his choice, it will now be up to him to deal with it.

If he chose to do bad business, as he did, then IMO he is going to reap what he has sown.

This thread helped me to decide that I will not be giving him any more of my business. I just purchased a helix thermostat and flexwatt from matt a couple of weeks ago and when the order was late (backordered) and I couldn't get hold of him for a week he upgraded the stat to a ND. It was annoying to be ignored for a week and juggle some of my snakes into temporary cages until it finally arrived, but since he came through I had planned to purchase more from him. But after seeing his actions here I have no intentions of purchasing anything else from him. I just purchased several new bp's and will be needing another rack by the end of the month, if I don't pick one up at the NARBC show then Rich can expect a new customer.
