• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Okay 2 questions:

1. You said one email shows up as "Jessie", what email is that? Full email

2. The second contract says he agreed to send you $65 through PayPal to pay for shipping. Did he send you the $65 ever? Do you have PayPal records, etc.?

Its weird, I just fianally figured out how to see the actual email and the "jessi" one is also [email protected]

No, he never sent it, he said he would actually send 80 because that was it cost me to ship, but it would be on a money order... Which I never recieved.
 
Okay once Mike gets me the answers to those two last questions, I think I have our scammer narrowed to 95% accuracy.

I don't want to post my findings yet as it is typical that scammers watch the BOI. I will touch base directly with a couple of folks first and then post a little later.

So where did you see "Jessi" at? In the email address or the name of the person the email went to?
 
I have yahoo, and a lot of time the name of the actual person shows up in the email, when I got the email( picture of a banana ball) the name said "jessi". I figured it was the guys wife or something.
 
Okay, I just PMed 4 specific people here on Fauna about this. People that are from each spectrum of thinking to try to get the best perspective possible. We will see what they think soon.
 
Nothing is going forward until you get us that tracking info. Get it asap or the help is about dry up real quick!

You'll be hard pressed to get that kind of help from UPS on the weekend.
Did you set up the shipment online, or at UPS?
