In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sam,
I truly hope you receive your money back. I hope that is what is happening.
If it was I, no amount of money could make up for these lies.

I agree.

That rat appears to be in the same position in the picture that was sent to the buyer as it appears in the picture that the buyer took of the dead snake. Wow, what a coincidence. Not!

Agreed Karen

That's no regurge, that rat never made it that far. I have half a mind to print this and hand it to Bob Clark myself, he will be here next week end!! hmmmmmmmmm might just have to!!

Heres is a new pic that Mike just sent me. Aparently he sent me this second photo that I never received. On this pic it cleary showed the date 08/14. If I had seen this pic I would never had agreed to have him send her to me that soon. So I think it is safe to say that this poor girl sufficated while attempting to regurg.

Laura,

I don't want to bring Bob's name into any more than I have already have. I seriously regret ever mentioning his name in all this. Bob is a great guy and was very kind when I brought this to his attention. So Bob knows about all this already. Thanks for your help anything.

Dennis,

That is what we are doing. Mike seems sincere enough to want to make this happen and I'm all for giving people a second chance. The damage is done and sadly we can't turn back the hands of time. All we can do is learn from our mistakes. Life goes on right?

Am I correct stickytongue, in that one of your follow up posts that is a photo of the snake "alive" and feeding that was sent to you by the seller? If so as Laura and Karen have said, that snake appears to me to have died at the time of the photo or shortly there after, and was sent to you dead. Look at the photo; the position of the rat, the stretching, it looks almost identical in the before and after photos (just looks a little more dead in the after photos.)
Outrageous!!!!!!!!!! and this guy is trying to get his business going? Here's a few pointers, redneck
1. don't ship dead snakes.
2. don't say that other breeders don't cover carrier mistakes, when it was delivered properly. carrier mistakes are things such as obviously damaged boxes, packages delivered to the wrong address, lost, etc. not a dead snake in an undamaged box, delivered on time.
3. don't accuse someone that they are trying to rip you off, when the photos are the same snake, and it is obviously dead, and you were notified in proper time.
4. don't post something so assinine
DO NOT DEAL W/ THIS PERSON..HE WILL INTENTIONALLY DAMAGE YOUR SHIPMENT PACKAGE AND TRY TO SAY IT ARRIVED DEAD AND TRY TO GET HIS $$ BACK FROM
YOU & SHIPPING CO
for the whole world to see when it is obvious that this was not the case.
5. don't try to associate your business with the name of a well respected breeder, when you apparently just stopped showing up and no longer work for the person.
6. last but not least, think about another career or hobby.
These pointers are not all inclusive, as I don't feel like going back and re-reading all your reply's, but it's enough for you to work with, hope it helps.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but according to Mike that is a picture of her finishing off her meal. Mike just wanted me to see that date on the picture. So maybe I am partially at fault since I had him ship her but I never received this dated photo so I did not know when he last fed her.

Next time I buy anything live online Im gonna make sure the animal empties out before having them shipped. This is what I do now anyway for those animals I do ship out. I've just never heard or seen a snake die of suffication while regurging. I didn't think it was very likely at all.

I hope this incident will serve as a reminder to never ship any animals that have been fed within 7 days of the ship date. If in doubt please take a good look at the pics on here. I know those pictures arn't pretty.

Everyone,

After spending a few hours talking to Mike to resolve our differences, I believe we've finally come to an agreement. With respects to Mike I will not go into much details of the final agreement. What I can tell you is that I would be coming out way on top and I would be VERY happy to accept it.

I believe the mistakes were on both our parts unintentionally. There was miscommunication going on here and there. Things were said and sent and some things got lost along the way. I know some people might think Mike is making me say all this but I knew Mike was a good person when I initially talk to him before making the purchase and I am glad he is making good on this deal. We both, for a lack of a better saying, kissed and made up. LOL

Like I’ve said before, I was a little shocked to think Mike would do this intentionally and it turned out he didn’t. I just wished we’d talk about this sooner before dragging it out in the open like this. After talking to Mike again I still believe he is a good guy and that he will own up to his faults as I to mine. With all this said I would do business with him again, under the conditions that we set everything straight before hand, any guarantees, temps on both ends, any concerns we both may have, and especially to make sure the animal empties out before shipping. I know I know these things should be a given but mistakes do happen and people do need to be reminded sometimes.

Again I thank you all for your support and I hope we all can put this behind us as I have. As soon as this deal is complete I will consider this matter closed and hopefully Mike and I will be able to continue to do business together in the future.

You keep saying that you were maybe partially at fault. Let’s get this straight the only one that can control when, where, and how to ship is the seller. Even if the buyer is demanding on his request of having the snake shipped immediately is the shipper that has the final say. After all, until the animal change hands alive, it is his responsibility. The one’s that have been in this site long enough might probably remember the incidence with the python that regurgitated “in transit” too. At that point in time the shipper stated he had sent it “under duress”. Again, there is no such thing. The buyer can scream, shout, threat on the other end of the line/computer but it is the shipper that control’s the outcome. For a moment he has to put on the scale the buyer’s demands, his schedule and convenience, but first and foremost the animal’s safety. We are not dealing with cages or heat tape here, we are dealing with live animals that depend 100% on our decisions, so make those count! Mike made mistakes but he seems he wants to correct them, good for him.

Sam,

You insist in taking part of the blame yourself, when everything seems so cut and dry. That this still leaves me with some doubts.

There was miscommunication going on here and there. Things were said and sent and some things got lost along the way.

It sort of gives me the feeling that there are indeed some important things that got lost along the way, and I’m still wandering what they were. I guess we will never know. One way or the other I'm gald everything got resolved hopefully to your satisfaction.

Dan,

There wasn't anything that was left out, trust me. I just felt a little responsible regardless because I should have asked all the right questions. Questions that I would normally always ask. Yes, Mike should have known better as well and your'e right it is the sellers responsibility when and how they ship.

As buyers we also need to make sure we cover all the basics as well. So for the sake of the animals we all have to be a little more diligent in the planning on both ends.

Now as far as him accusing me of trying to scam him, I found out that I had only sent him one pic, the one where I was holding her and her head just hung. I was suppose to share my online photo album which included all the pics but instead I sent him an individual pic. I should have sent him all the pics so he can identify if it was his or not. Now does that warrent him questioning me scamming him? Maybe.

Thats all I can say. We're all adults and we said or apologizes and hopefully Mike and I can put all this behind us.

I agree with Dan. Ultimately it is the shipper who has the responsibility to ship the animal how and when it is safe to do so. It was Mike's mistake and he went on about:
  • no live arrival guarantee
  • carrier error
  • how Sam lied about a snake dying
Sam, you may be very forgiving, or be posting what you did under duress despite your denial, but Mike is not fooling anyone here. He screwed up (at best, or attempted to scam you at worst) and then tried to blame you for it. When it looks and smells like dog crap you don't need to taste it to find out for sure, now do you?

[QUOTE When it looks and smells like dog crap you don't need to taste it to find out for sure, now do you?[/QUOTE]

Jim,

I'm going to have to take you word on that. LOL. You are right about me being forgiving. I was just brought up that way. Its a curse I know but you can't change who you are and I wouldn't want to anyway.

I've always believed there are reasons why we do the things we do and the best way to solve our indifferences is to explain our reasonings to each other. You still maybe not agree with each other but atleast you can agree to disagree and thats always a start.

Once Mike completes this deal hes going to be ok in my book.

GARBAGE! G-A-R-B-A-G-E!!!!!

Do not for even one moment sit back and state that this guys is ok in your books. Sorry Sam, but that is a bunch of ...... well, see the above. This guy lied and placed all of the honus upon your shoulders for the shipment when it was only him who controls that! This guy had the audacity to leave you negative feedback on Reptile Auction which will not now ever go away! This guy has the audacity to be so careless about his animals that he AND HE ALONE caused the untimely death of a beautiful creature all the while putting the blame on you!

I do not give a rat's hiney if you had a picture of him feeding or not! A responsible owner never would have shipped him out with something in his belly! REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE BUYER REQUESTED!!!

I understand you are caught in a awkward situation since you now want to be nice so that you can get your money back. BUT DO NOT COME ON HERE AND TELL US THAT HE IS NOW OK IN YOUR BOOKS. HE'S WORTHLESS IN MY BOOKS AND I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THE LIKES OF HIM. Period.

This guy could care less about you, I am sure he is still willing to give out this same statement to anyone looking to work a deal with you. He has proven many times over he can not be trusted and is not a good guy.

Just my two cents

Like Dennis said, lets hold off on comments for a while here. We all know how we feel, but let's atleast give Sam a chance to get his refund and see how things go from there. I think it would be best if Sam or Mike make the next post here and update us how things go.

Isn't it a sad day when our comments on this board have an effect on whether somebody receives a refund or not? I agree with you Jim/Dennis. I just find it to be a very sad day when the above is true.
