    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

To solve my issue all I have asked for over the last day is a refund! Simple to just go into paypal and a couple clicks later the refund is on its way. You have not shipped anything to me yet as you have stated, so you are not out anything. No one will be home for the next couple of weeks at the proper times to receive any shipments of live animals. We stated this in our statement in Pay Pal just as you said in Pay Pal that you had not shipped the snakes yet. We never received any E-mails from the time you sent the one stating you received payment to the time you sent the one at 5:43 PM yesterday after we had filed the claim. I had called several times between those E-mails and not once did you call me back. Once my cell phone bill comes in it will have all the calls listed incoming and out going on it. If you did send the additional E-mails I would have thought you had figured out we did not receive them after I left 3 different messages on your phone starting (per the records on my cell phone) on the night of the 11th (day origionally set up for shipping) at 7:11 PM central Then on the 12th twice one at 7:08 AM central and another at 10:17 AM central. My wife wasted a day waiting on something that did not arrive.
 
No refund yet! I really hope he doesn't try to ship on Monday as no one will be available to receive them. At least with him posting above I have proof to supply to PayPal that he was on line and has no reason for not responding to our second dispute message. Also he has definitely seen it said enough that no one will be available to receive them. My major concern is if he ships now the snakes are going to have one heck of a round trip! I feel sorry for them. I also wonder if he is so anxious to ship instead of refund how is he trying to rip me off? Is the het not a Het and/or is the Gravid with pastel not gravid with pastel or not at all! Makes me wonder.

One would assume that this means they will all actually arrive....and be alive. Since you also stated they were not "scrawny", that the one that WAS very thin and died should be taken care of with your guarantee as well.

Now, assuming that you did ship 8 corns, there is no reason, if they were properly packed, that there should be only 2 left in the box, and only one that would survive more than a few hours after arrival.

Are you going to honor the guarantee you gave Shannon?

When were you planning on shipping the other animals sold?

Not "thrashing", just asking how you were planning on handling these problems.

Most likely there will be no "round trip", if no one was home to receive the package, it would be left on your doorstep, or wherever the easiest place for the delivery driver to drop it would be.

I'm hoping that he wouldn't ship anyway knowing you would not be there to accept them, but worst case scenario, is there a temp controlled porch or someplace you could direct the driver to leave them if you had no other available options?

And yeah, you bought hets from him? Are they supposed to come with any kind of verifiable paperwork stating their genetics?

Nope my house is an old house with no climate controlled porches or anything. Concrete front porch that gets great sunlight in the afternoon. :(

Yes I got one het orange ghost female. I asked for any paperwork he had on her, but he didn't say one way or the other if he had any. The Normal that is gravid with pastel eggs is supposed to come with a photo that verifies the lock with the pastel.

Also looking at the forcast though the temps in his area are supposed to be just as hot on Monday as they were on the day he was supposed to ship them.

Ultimately at this point it comes down to the fact that I don't want the snakes from him anymore. He has not shipped yet. He knows I want a refund already. It is documented now in the PayPal system. I will push the PayPal system till he gives a refund regardless of him shipping or not now. If he does ship and I get a refund through PayPal I will offer to ship them back at his cost!

As stated before, at this point if he is pushing the shipping it makes me worry about the validity of the het and the normal female being gravid let alone specifically from a pastel.
 
At this point we have escalated the Paypal to a claim and I have called the credit card company to place a claim. Talking to their rep it she said it sounds like the case of someone refusing to cancel an order that had not been filled. Pretty cut and dry, but credit card companies are a little slow. I will get my account credited for the full value while they investigate. Then appropriate actions will be taken by the credit card company to collect and/or file collections.
 
Hey sorry I have not been online in a few days! I was surprised to see how this thread took off. I really thought that after what happened to me he would do everything right on his next sale. I have not received any emails from him personally. I will post pictures of the box the snakes were shipped in, the containers and the 2 snakes. I need to contact my bank to see if I can get my money back threw them. Have just been working a lot. I finally got an email from paypal stating :

Well that sucks! He does not respond to any method of communication I try also. When the sale was going down he was pretty good with return calls and E-mails. After he got the payment he just pretty much starts ignoring you. He is a scammer and a half. Now we have a middle initial and a suffix to use for further searches online if needed!

Luckily for the snakes I think he listened to the fact no one will be home to receive the package for a while and did not try and ship them on Monday as the last communication I got from him said he was going to do. The old lady next door that watches everything and knows everything that happens in the neighborhood didn't see a Fed-ex truck at our house all day. He has not even answered PayPal.
 
I thought this was a little odd....

So I went to his site www.midwestrattery.com and if you go under cornsnakes he still has:
1 snow, 2 anery motely, 4 anery and 1 normal up for sale.... Yet here is what he was "going" to send me.... Ironic??

Did you see those pics or his site before you ordered? It's pretty obvious, IMO, they are not very old (except for the one 05 marked as sold) nor very big....not like I would exect yearlings to look, anyway. But that's JMHO.

I also find it funny that on his "Privacy Notice" page, he states this:
All of the information gathered on this site. Will not be forwarded to any 3rd party. All credit card transactions are done through PayPal to insure that your infomation is safe no one here ever sees a credit card number. If you have any questions please contact us.

I have defended myself in the 2 cases and refd the money on both yes i am going blind it is a shame that the boi can hurt a person that is really just triing to sell animals for there best inerest
For a further note i am going tohave my right eye removed due to complications on july 10th
check it out it is at anhiser bush institue for the blind
 
Michael we arent saying you are a bad guy we have been given the impression that you have poor comunication skills. Because your in the unfortunate position of having a serious health problem (i and my family have you in our prayers) it might be in your best interest to allow someone else to sell these animals for you it would be alot less stressful to yourself and the potential customers if it can be handled this way. I dont believe it has been brought up that you are not being valid with your illness but if it has i appologize for not seeing that

It took Paypal seizing the money to get my money back and even then it was not all of it, just 97% of it. He seems to always come up with excuses. I think the last time it was his rattery burnt down and he stopped communication due to wrecking his truck. Due to the fact this time it took Paypal to seize the money and a history of excuses that come up when it seems like he sells anything I still have to leave it at a buyer beware! Sorry if he is in this situation, but a history of no communication once he gets someones money says something is wrong. If he is serious about selling off what he has due to circumstances he needs to hand them over to someone who has a good reputation for sell!
 
Just so everyone knows

Dragonmasterexotics has yet to contact me in any way shape or form since and I have received NO refund! I have not been on this site much anymore. I am 6 months pregnant and very busy working and getting things set up. I would call him either a VERY poor seller or a TOTAL scammer because if I was in his shoes I WOULD have worked out SOMETHING reasonable with my customer. Maybe it's just hormones talking but it's bad karma for him and he is getting what he deserves. Sorry if I am offending anyone here but I am out 160 bucks and it seems to me he is just trying to play on people's sympathy! Again I am sorry if I offend anyone but those are just my feelings.
 
michael you did say you have issued refunds to both customers but the original poster says you havent what can you tell up about this
