This will be my only and last post on this. I will cover every ? and give the
proper timeline.
I received the snake, within 3 to 4 days the snake was and turned super dry.
No matter what environment the snake was in, it would not dry the snake out
that fast. Shipping would. I am very confident the bottom line is this snake
was not robust and established enough to be shipped. The people on this post
saying the conditions of 80 degrees and 90degrees is wrong, with paper towels
substrate misting and humidifying is WRONG~! That's a laugh. You are saying
that what has worked successfully for a majority of the breeders are
incorrect. LMAO Boas are very hearty and resilient, and yes they can be kept
at a variety of temps. I also don't know even how old this snake is bc he
never sent id/feed/shed cards like he said he would. Maybe they have Peruvian
blood and doesn't want me to know. lol
The snake getting dried out and not eating for a month is the issue. Then the
bad shed. I bought 2 that's TWO snakes from Boas Etc michael taylor. 20 other
snakes have been and are thriving in my set ups for over 2 years, w/o a single
problem. Now for the short attention span people who commented on here and the
poor reading comprehension people I will state this again........... I DID NOT
SAY MICHAEL AND HIS COMPANY (HE IS HIS COMPANY) WILL NOT SEND YOU A HEALTHY
SNAKE. Here's the most important part.... Listen UP~! IMPORTANT PART. WHEN
ONE OF HIS SNAKES HAS A PROBLEM WHICH WAS WITHIN A FEW DAYS>>> THIS IS
HOW HE
HANDLED IT~! MAKE SENSE? Also he gave me the song and dance, " I stand
behind my snakes and keep me posted on his condition. I didn't take it to the
vet bc He made it seem that if there was a problem he would take the animal
back. He offered no suggestions NOTHING~!
I did soak the snake 3 seperate times. I would not peel it off in the chance
that actual scales would come off too. If soaking and normal misting and
hyrdation doesn't get it off..... Then it AIN'T ready to come off. Boas
get
sick slowly and get better even slower. Talk to the best boa guys in the
country...It's what they will tell you.
What breeder..... who actually provides good customer service tells a
customer..." Don't make this a situation" after the first time I asked
to
return the snake for a healthy one? If, as michael says, buyers remorse ..
lmao Why didn't I ask for my money back? Or better yet for both? I love the
female and said i did. I wasn't happy with the male bc he looked sick so fast.
He was definitely less than maintenance fed bc he was scary skinny and
Michaels definition of a KILLER deal... You're right it killed any future
business with you for sure and for everyone I know too. Those who were happy
with him good for you... too bad he wasn't cool or good to me. We spoke many
times on the phone and gave the same story every time. Then within 2 more
weeks following, he sends me an email, I contacted my attorney. CONTACTED AN
ATTORNEY... Instead of customer service and making it right.... LMAO GUILTY~!
DUH~! The only person who needs and attorney is guilty first off. Second
then chooses that over just sending a healthy snake and taking him back is
what 55 plus people breeders said they would have done after the snake not
eating for a month. Then michael calls me up on the phone, as soon as I
clicked the on button starts screaming...."You fn A&&hole I am huge
in this
business, I will squash you you little turd. I do this for a living" etc and
hangs up. What breeder calls a buyer and does that? Here's reality...maybe
michael couldn't afford to make it right. Maybe he's in over his head blowing
out snakes at really low prices to survive...rats cost a lot if you're buying
good quality food. Maybe the litters didn't come as abundant as he thought
full time breeding would be. Here's the point........Any breeder who says
don't make this a situation is already exposing their hand/situation. Then on
top of that throws the attorney bit etc blah blah blah and is defensive like
that... hhmmm Calls and screams at a buyer. Sounds like, reality finally set
in that michael is a guppy in the world of boas. All the claims he told me I
checked and were, let's say less than true by far.
Lastly I will say, the only thing that counts is this snake. I have a vet
appointment. The best vet I could find was out on vacation for 2 weeks and
didn't have an appointment until this next monday. I will take care of my
problem and michael can maybe take care of his. I also emailed people on
kingsnake to warn them so they don't get burnt like I did. Buyers need to warn
everyone of people that pull this kind of stuff. I got so many many emails
almost a 100 thanking me. Everyone here can make their own opinions all they
want. Everyone's an expert. michael DEFINTELY ABSOLUTELY DESERVES THE BAD GUY
RAP for sending a snake he probably shouldn't have, telling me don't make
this
a situation after asking to take the snake back and send a healthy one,
threatening me with attorney bs which is the biggest laugh of all...he would
need the attorney if I chose to press charges from his harassing phone call
which I had company over to hear bc I put him on speaker. So if you think this
approach and behavior is acceptable after spending $2200 with a breeder, not
that the money matters so much but, then make your own decision.
