    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can you show the communication between you that indicated you were only to pay the cost of shipping?
 
i dont have any emails saved but she posted it asking for money to cover shipping and i sent the money order. you can read her post asking for someone to cover shipping and hes yours.
 
Well, Jacqui, that sort of lobs the ball back into your court - your ad did say that you were giving him up for the cost of shipping. Do YOU have any evidence that there was anything else offered?
 
I'm attaching the screen shot here for the ad where it's stated 'pay the $100 shipping and it's yours' just in case the ad gets deleted.

What I would like to see are two things -
1 - Michael, can you provide a screen shot or some proof that shows you paid the $100 for the shipping?

2 - Jacqui - can you provide actual emails that support what you posted below with full headers and not just snipits copied and pasted to prove Michael said these things to you?

While we're waiting for Jacqui to respond (she hasn't logged onto this site in a couple of weeks), what is your statement regarding the the two statements taken from Jacqui's previous post?

They certainly seem to indicate that there was a trade agreed upon, and that you blew it off. Are you claiming, now, 6 months later, that you didn't say those things?? That she was, in fact, making them up? (A lot of people do keep PMs and emails for a long time...so I wouldn't be surprised if she still had them)
 
i didnt keep any of the emails from her. i did say i just got him and thanks for the snake. i never said i had anything to ship her, so there was nothing more important. do you the fact there was no trade agreed apon. i got my snake after i paid the shipping cost and i figured it was a done deal. but she posted all the story i never said or replyed with. So i have no proof of my story besides her post and my reply

I don't buy anything Mr. Voorhies says myself. Too much points the other direction. Like Harald pointed out, obviously there was some sort of trade going on by his own words. But what stands out in my mind is, if you're really on the up and up, why so many user names and email accounts?

Although the OP hasn't logged in, and don't choose to press the issue, in my eyes, it's obvious Mr Voorhies ain't being straight about things.

I can't say I'd feel 100% comfortable doing business with Micheal I must say the fact that the op doesn't care to address the issue kind of makes me feel that the op may have been in the wrong on this one.
 
Michael, the claim here was made over a year ago. I know you were notified at the time but you didn't address it. Why? Instead, you stopped posting, came back and changed your user name, changed your email address and began posting again. Doesn't make much sense to me. After coming back, you still didn't address it. It took multiple messages and finally someone posting links on more than one of your ads to finally address it.

Seems to me if it was as simple as you stated it in your first post, you would have addressed it right away.

So let me get this straight. For no apparent reason Jacqui just made this story up. She was upfront about needing to get rid of this animal including the legality of owning it where she lived and just made this whole thing up to hurt your reputation.

I don't know her but she has had multiple good transactions here, has multiple good guy threads and hasn't seem to have a problem with anyone else. Why do you think she targeted you for this made up story?
She was really concerned about posting this here thinking should would open herself up to problems for owning the snake.


So let me ask you, did you loose a buddy in an accident or not?

No proof of anything there. "private message me" and " sold" being posted in the thread proves nothing. No proof of money being sent, no details in your actual transaction.
On top of that you have people posting that know you personally and didn't state anything close to positive about you.
 
I don't think anything will come from this anymore, the op hasn't made any attempts for anything and seems like she just left. it is better that this just dies. i don't deal in snakes right now but i still check the BOI for references and for the future.

Everything here is just hear say now. one person says one thing the other another. no e-mails, no proof. No care either way.

Personally I keep all e-mails until my dragons arrive to where they are going, either here or there and try to keep in touch with the buyer/seller to make sure everything stays in good form. I might just be starting out but it is safe to make sure all your bases are covered and I don't think many people think much differently along those lines.
 
I made a deal with michael voorhies 3 months ago right before i left to afganistan it was a trade i traded my 2006 sunfire supertiger het albino and 2006 purple albino and a 2006 lav albino tiger for his 2005 yamaha r6 i made a contract and had him sign it i came back early this month and tried calling him but no answer i am only 4 hours from odessa and im going to pay him a visit and get something back.
