    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay. I will be calling the local cops on Tuesday if I don't hear anything. I am a little nervous that I will end up in trouble for something stupid along the way, but your right. That snake was worth more than just money: he is a life, and I deserve to know that at least he is safe, and I deserve to be reimbursed for him.

You have nothing to get in trouble for. He is scamming you. And you absolutely deserve to be reimbursed!

Before you call the cops make sure you have all your stuff together, i.e. emails and shipping confirmation. Just to make things run smoothly. I think everything will work out for you. And I do think you should talk to his mommy. Come on he's 21 and still living at home. So, he might as well be treated like a kid.
 
I just want to post and say that I would like this forum deleted or locked (can't figure out how to do it myself). Michael and myself talked on the matter and we are working things out. I guess that even though the situation sounded bad, it turns out that things can sometimes work out.

Yea I saw that after I posted that. I will post pictures to show you guys that I got the animal once she comes in. I don't want to give him a bad name since he said he will uphold his end of the trade.

It's great that he is fufilling his end of the bargain with you but his bad name is earned by not shipping when he said he would, not communicating with you about the delay, and then sending you a rude email to your legitimate questions.

Bad things sometimes happen. I've had to delay shipping animals when a emergency came up at home but I always took the 3 minutes it takes to send a email or make a phone call just to keep the buyer informed of what was going on. It's just being considerate of everyone involved. ;)

Jacqui I hope that this guy holds up his end of the deal for you. Just posted a "good guy" thread on you and ran into this. I'm very sorry this happened to you. I'll be checking this thread to see what happens...

So most likely his name is indeed Michael Voorhies. Either that or he's using the same alias routinely. I doubt he would do that on a MySpace page for his "business" then use the same alias on what is so far a bad deal.

Unfortunately he threatened me saying that I'd better "stop the bullshit" or he was gunna report me for selling him an animal that was illegal in my area, and that I would get my snake. Needless to say, I got no snake, no money, nothing. And now he has disappeared. Very unfortunate situation.

I inquired about an albino granite burm offered by "Chevyford" ( nice name ). His full name is listed as Chevy Ford. First red flag. He tells me that he'd be happy to send first in the trade, but the animal might already be traded. Then a couple of hours later I get a message from this Michael Voorhies ( another nice name... ) saying " I have the snake now. And what are you offering?"

Sounds like he's still scamming people.

If Chevy's username on this site is Chevmysta88, then his real name is Chevy Ford.
Aside from that one point though, more details would be needed.
