In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The last time I talked to Mike, it was via AIM, and I did not save the conversation (the only one I didn't save lol). Trust me, if Mike does not pay me, I will make sure this thread stays at the top of the BOI.

he also contacted me via aim. i asked if he intended on making good on his deal with david, and he said he did. i even offered to post a positive response for him if he made good on this deal. he screwed up in the past, and that wont go away. but how he conducts himself on this deal shows maturity and growth, or lack thereof. it isnt looking good though. if the check doesnt come, i have ways to get his phone number and call him, or have david call him.
please respond to these posts, mike, or at least email or im david to let him know what the hold-up is. if you want to paypal me, i'll give the money to david. i'm not worried about you messing with my bank account.

I am new to these forums here. But this posts really angered me. As a proper businessman with integrity, you must conduct yourself as such. Whether this is a hobby or business. The first and foremost thought should be the health of the animal, then conducting your business in a professional manner. These back and fourth flaming posts should never have happened.
Even if you mailed the snake with all good intent as I think you did, you should have made the transaction right from the get go. Requesting to ship an ill snake is neither proper or recommended. That definately did not hold the snakes well being in mind. Pictures of the snake should have been sufficient, since you would know if it were indeed your snake.
I do not think neither of you are bad people. This matter should just be righted and all flames ceased.
In the end it is the snakes that matter. I assume we all ventured into this area because of our love of snakes...please remember this.

Why in the hell would you have ANYTHING positive to say about this guy??? I don't think it is wrong to say many, maybe even most of us want this guy out of business. We all want the people who got burned to be compensated, but if we say Hey Mike, just pay up and we will all forget about you breaking the law and ripping people off is not the way to get things back on track. To say he screwed up in the past is not saying much. This is extremely serious, you're talking about a guy who is putting lives at risk. Looking at what people have said about doing business with him tells me he is a scammer, liar, and criminal. I want nothing to do with him or anyone like him. Please do not defend or forgive him in any way. Something tells me if he does pay up, and you do post something positive about it, you will be standing alone. I have to say I agree.
Tom is absolutely right. While you had good intentions by making the "positive point" offer, you would be doing every herper (including Mike Clark himself) a terrible injustice if this were carried out. Instead, why not offer *not* to give him a negative point if he does not provide David with some form of compensation?
In addition, Serpentboy78 has already given *himself* more positive points than he deserves to be credited.

i said what i said, and i stand by it. i cannot, and will not defend his actions in the past with regards to shipping hots via ups or usps. what he did was bad for the hobby, and WE ALL realize this. this thread was started so that david could get reimbursed for the healthy snakes that mike received as trade for the dead snake david received. if he pays david back, i think it says a lot, regardless of what you think. mike has made some major mistakes in the past. he's made a major mistake here. if it is PROVEN that he sells sick/dying/dead snakes on purpose for the intent to rip people off, i definitely would love to see that he never sells another snake ever again. IN THIS CASE, if he made a mistake and fixes it by paying david back for it, i'd say it makes mike look less like the piece of trash you are making him out to be. on the other hand, if he doesnt pay david back, i'd agree that his false intent to pay david pretty much affirms everything that has been said here about his character.
mike is reviewing every post here i'm sure. if i were mike right now, i dont know if i'd pay david anyway, because regardless of what he does, he's going to look like a piece of garbage due to his actions in the past regarding hots. if your rep was totalled, would you make good on this deal? i told him i'd post a good message about him taking care of this transaction, and i meant it. i'm not going to go off and start the "mike clark-good guy" thread. i'm going to post it here that he sent david a snake that died soon after delivery, that he paid david for the snakes he received in trade, and despite the actions of everyone trying to crush him as a vendor, he kept his word. that shows a lot on his character to prove he can make a mistake and own up to it. it doesnt make up for his previous actions, but it does speak about his character.

if the answer is no to all of these, we as keepers no longer have to worry about mike hurting our ability to keep hot snakes in the future. if mike realizes that what he did was wrong, knows better than to ever pull that kind of crap again, and learned from his mistakes in the past, that says something. the hobby got off lucky this time. nobody got killed. and if he never does it again, we dont have to worry about it from mike clark.
