    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He just told me he's sending it, so I am patiently waiting for it. :) I believe the payment's on it's way
 
I don't know...He's still saying he wants me to take this down, and thinks it's not fair.

I don't think it's fair he made a poor decision on how to ship and cost 2 little dragons their lives.
 
Well, even if you wanted to take it down, this thread isn't going anywhere. He might as well be thankful it isnt a bad guy thread.

I agree those two dragons losing their lives was very unfair.
 
I asked him if he made the money order out to my hubby and here's the response.

MY KIDS and I are the ones who lost our animals!! MY KIDS CHOSE which two dragons they wanted for their very own pets! They DIED!!! Because of HIS poor shipping choice!! WHO has more right to be "UNHAPPY??"

I have been so gracious, kind and patient! I was not one dang bit rude to him, but oh, when I found out how he shipped I really could have been nasty. I chose to be reasonably calm and polite...not easy to do when your sick child is CRYING because the dragon he thought he was going to have for a pet DIES on the way to him...:angry::NoNo::bandhead0:notallthe
 
Breathe...get your refund and put him out of your mind, you did everything you could to make sure this info is out there for everyone to see. Which is good.

no matter how much he whines to the mods or to Rich...this thread isn't going anywhere and he will have to just learn a lesson and move on and never ship like that again =)
 
yea but you have the only place that doesnt have overnight shiping to your door and you the only person that has ever gave me a problem ever and then you make a problem worse and write this about me every1 else has no problems with shipping and no problems with their dragons and i will tell them to comment and show how good of a bussiness i am it was a simple mistake then you have to go and release it on the internet just what does that do for you ,absolutly nothing but get people mad at me you gotta see it from my point of veiw how wrong it was of you to do that.

Mike is a good guy who really takes great care of his animals. He had an issue with Fedex and wanted to get the beardies to the customer as soon as possible because she already sent him the payment. Her complete refund of $100 for the two lost beardies is in the mail. There was never any issue with a refund and Mike offered it right away. He is not happy about animals dieing in transit. This was an unfortunate situation and a miscommunication. Unfortunately sometimes this happens through email communications. Customer happiness is Mike's concern and he is rectifying this unfortunate problem. Mike is a NICE guy and always does the right thing when it comes to customers. This is the first time something like this has happened, all of Mike's previous customers are content with their purchases and their condition received. Unfortunately the beardies cannot be replaced but a definite refund is in order and has been done.
 
I never said he wasn't a nice guy and you are just saying the same things I've already said. I am happy with the 2 that lived. I never said he didn't have nice animals. I never claimed lousy communication. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT HIM!!!

It was NOT a miscommunication. He said he was shipping fed ex. He didn't ship with fed ex. He used USPS!! How is that a "miscommunication?" It's not.
 
I cared more about them getting safely here rather than quickly. He could have kept them until it warmed up outside-SPRING when it wasn't going to be so cold. They would have lived if he had used USPS in late spring/early summer. NOT in winter!!!

This isn't a Bad Guy thread, I don't know what's so confusing about that... Personally, I would have labeled it a Bad Guy thread for sure but Angie posted an INFO thread; just giving us all information on her personal experience with Mike; she didn't outright label him a Bad Guy. She was nicer than most people would have been under the circumstances so I would suggest taking her post as a warning to Mike and maybe making sure Mike doesn't pull something like this again in the future.

Bolded #1: Despite what is on their website, USPS very rarely ships overnight... 2 nights is more the average. So most places he ships USPS is not going to be overnight, not just you.

Bolded #2: "A simple mistake"? It wasn't a simple mistake and it doesn't sound like he understands his negligence killed your dragons. He added 3 heat packs, (2 of which were directly on top of the baby beardies) and shipped USPS. It was a death sentence the moment he sealed the box and handed it off.

hi i just wanted to let you know the beardies are shipping today but the area your in isnt over night shipping its gaurentied for thursday so just warm them up when you get them i have 18 hour warmers in there they should be fine let me know if you get them and they should come before 12am on thursday let me know if you have any problems

He also used 18 hour heat packs instead of using proper 40 hour ones while knowing it was not overnight shipping.

The seller should be bending over backwards with apologies and a refund instead of attacking you. Assuming he still refunds you, it doesn't sound like's a "bad guy" but definitely needs to learn how to ship properly.
 
I was very close to making this a bad guy thread. I was told by a few people I should have. There was absolutely no reason that those beardies should have lost their lives. They were with Mike. Mike could have said he wanted to ship in spring. He wanted to ship 2 days before he did, when it was only going to be 20 degrees!!!
