In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

While I agree that on this post it was worded in such a way to seriously offend, however I do recall Rick making the SAME offer way back when much earlier in this thread WITHOUT the name calling etc.
It fared no better in its reception back then so I suspect no matter how it was worded Mike is not going to pay.

What is your point? Are you saying that because one party acts that way, it's OK? It isn't.
If one is going to make an offer, don't make it in a way that no one would accept.

Didn't say that. Just seemed you were pointing out Rick's bad behavior but not the reason for said behavior. I don't know many people who would angelically sit by and let something like losing 21 frogs and over $2000 just slide by with no show of emotion whatsoever. Rick had reason to blow his stack imo.

You obviously did not read what I posted. I think at this point you are simply throwing stuff out there just to defend, without carefully reading and thinking, and expecting me to take you seriously.

Rick has a point about it is easy to say you would react rationally, but having been robbed by Mike, I understand how it is easy to go over the edge when dealing with him. I said in an earlier post I was not going to post all of the emails between us. Mike stole my money under someone else's account name for a female leopard tortoise. After reviewing all of the emails, it looks like it would be very informative, if for no other reason than to reinforce what a pathological liar and thief Mike is. I know there is no way Mike will ever come up with my money. To have someone so blatantly steal and lie from you is incredibly frustrating. Watch for some more entertaining and delusional correspondence from Mike Matson.

I'm going to have to agree with Lucille here. It seems things got out of hand on both sides. Maybe a phone call with no yelling or name calling would have positive results.

Cheyenne contacted me asking for my phone #. Without a doubt it was so Mike could call and threaten me with no record. I am ahead of Mike, so no #, but Cheyenne gave me "her" #, oh . guess what, it was really Mike's #. Mike ran away from me, which I will soon show in my email exchanges with him and verified by his unwitting getaway driver. All bluff. Please ask Mike for his attorney's name. I would be more than willing to spend money on an attorney to go after him to bleed him dry, but he does not have an attorney. He does not have any money. His only way to make money is to steal it.

Hey Mike, the second search on Google under your name is now the link to this Fauna thread. Soon this Fauna thread will rise to the top. The honest people who you have stolen from will rejoice. We may never get our money from you, but at least we can give any potential buyers an honest and informed critique of your past and current behavior. Wouldn't it have made more sense to be ethical from the start? I do not think you can help it. For some bizzare reason you are forever programmed to live the life of a petty thief.

I'm going to quote the message I just sent Steffy Paige, who just "friended" me then posted on my timeline...

I have had a lot of things happen that I cannot change, I can only do my best to make sure those things never happen again. Mike? Not so much."
I could spend hours trying talking about what happened back then, and how, and try justify what happened with the horses as a result, but the plain and simple truth of the matter is, I can't justify it. Tragedy hit my family, my mother had a severe stroke and 4 years alter my father had congestive heart failure and open heart surgery... I crashed. No excuse. The MINUTE my mother had that stroke we should have given the animals away, but that's now how it happened. I was alone, and became more and more overwhelmed, buried in depression and shut down. I looked for help, but no one was there for me. Disbelieve it all you want. I asked the local sheriff's office for help, and the records show that they were supposed to put someone in contact with me. They did not. But when it came to pass everyone came out of the woodworks to help the rescuers... why was no one there to help me? It doesn't matter, I shouldn't have given up, I should have kept trying and did whatever it took to get help for the animals, and for us. We were homeless, we barely had enough money to keep going, the medical having eaten it all (no insurance), but that is not how it happened. You all can hate my guts, but there's not a one of you out there who can hate me more than I hate myself for what happened. I can't change the past, all I can do is try to keep it from ever repeating itself. I've gone full circle and returned to my roots with the frogs, and I take better care of them than I do myself. I have much to atone to, I can never change what happened, and I will regret that to the day I die. I am doing everything I can to provide my frogs proper care and I have helped other folks with theirs. If I am to be judged then judge me by my actions now and not from the past I no longer live in.

I recently wrote a post about how Bad Guys will many times personally attack the poster rather than answer to the issues which make them a Bad Guy. They will try to deflect attention from themselves, onto someone else.
It is the content of a post which makes it relevant.
I am sad for the horses, but there is no way that their fate changes the content of Lisa's present posts. I have had my own disagreements with a couple of her posts and have said as much, but it was with the content, not with her as a person. I am not giving her a pass, I'm saying that part of her past is not relevant IMHO to her comments here.
Background can be relevant. If it shows a history of lying, fraud, etc., it would affect the credibility of the poster. Here, Lisa admits to what was said so it shows that she is truthful, increasing her credibility.
Again, to me, thoughtfulness and content are what is most important in a post. I am hoping this revelation about Lisa will not take the focus in this thread off of Mike, and I am wondering whether it was a deliberate attempt to do so.
