In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We don't have a lot of time. If someone that we all trust would set up a contribution Paypal account, post the email here, (I have seen it done) and be in charge of distributing the money to the bilked people...we could get started now, and I can contribute a bit too.

Contributions could be made up to December 23, giving the moderator of the account a day to distribute the monies (if i got this right) and if there was anything left that could be donated to a herp society and the account closed.

Cheryl, Thanks so much! That's so sweet of you. :)
I just checked out account and they refunded the whole thing, shipping too. This is truly a Blessing! I'll keep you posted on the others.
Blessings to all of you!

You need to be careful about that. Any money would have to be a "Gift" or it could effect their chances in court. I also rather suspect it would let Mike off the hook for complete financial restitution. I want to see these families have a Merry Christmas as much as anyone~ but your going to want to be very careful.

Anyone seen Mike lately? It says he's not been online since just after Thanksgiving. Someone with his Phone # call him. I don't have his number~ he called me a few times a couple years ago when I had the Breast Cancer scare and he was having a cancer scare at the same time~ but I don't have much patience for "Drama" and I guess he got the idea that I wouldn't sit and listen to it so he stopped calling me.

Well Good!!!
I hope the others get their money too!
And tell me if you find a good LEGITIMATE deal on a PS3~ I need one for my boy too! (He's not excited about snakes~ he knows if I gave him a snake as a gift.....it would really be for me!)

This is just an idea, but I know paypal/ebay have these deals where they hold money in trust for some auctions, could those people who lost their playstations who do not receive their money back give their permission and then paypal administer this? There is no harm asking.

There's no worry there. He can still be prosecuted here in AZ even if the victims received donations to cover their losses.

Great to hear! Happy Holidays!

Goodness.. I'm glad some people are getting their money back from this scumbag.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Hi everyone!

This message is particularly for Tere who was kind enough to forward me the link for this thread! THANK YOU! I haven't read all the messages, but I did see that Kristi got her money back from PayPal! I am one of the other lucky winners who got stuck in Mike's PS3 scheme! How pitiful to do this at Christmas time! And Kristi, thanks for sending the link to PayPal. I will be calling them shortly, too!

And as far as the rest of you who have contributed to this post...you sound like wonderful people! Thank you!

Dennis,

I could really use your help on this. I called the police department and am waiting for them to call me back to take a report. The lady I spoke with said she doesn't think it's a police issue. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure for the amount of money we're talking about, some form of law enforcement should be involved, and not just have it left up to Paypal and Ebay, correct?

I get paid again next week and could contibute a few dollars. Is there any way that anyone could think of to establish a fund, just for these playstations, so that these children might have a gift on Christmas? If we can't collect enough at least they can have some gift?

Tere, you will be in charge of identifying all those scammed and the amount they lost. Post all the info in this thread and we will need to decide on a cut off time to make disbursments. All info will be posted here to make it as transparant as possible. If anyone wants to remain anonymous, that's fine. However, any money donated will be documented here along with the paypal fees charged. A complete accounting will be kept public.

Marianna-

I think Dennis Hultman is the one who contacted you. I didn't even realize you could contact Ebay members if you didn't have a transaction with them!

Regardless, I hope you get your money back, as well. And like I told Kristi in an email just now, if I know the reptile community like I think I do, you may not get it from Paypal, but you will at least get something back.

Marianna, I contacted you through E-Bay, I am glad to see everyone coming together on this. You guys know I will help if I can as well. ;)

Call takers don't know what the hell they are talking about alot of the time. It absolutely is a police issue. However, the people scammed need to file their own individual reports. You're a witness and not a victim. That maybe why the call taker said what they did.

Hey mikey, you sweatin' bullets yet?

AHAHahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAhahahahahaahahahHAHAHahah

Homey, the bad juju has finally caught up to you and you's gonna pay pay pay.

Skinny kid like you is sure to make friends REAL easy once you're incarcerated.

Charge accepted, and I will get right on that. Since there are 12 of them now, not only 4, someone needs to notify the remaining 8. The four on the screenshot have already been contacted, right?

Keep in mind that it takes 3 to 5 business days to disperse funds from paypal. The 17 or 18 at the latest should be the cutoff.
