In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

mike stafani bad seller poor custemer service

I would speculate (and this is just a guess) that because Dale just claimed that a $3000 package left by DHL has turned up missing and has now claimed another missing DHL package right behind it, that red flags have been raised at DHL. I would further guess that because of these red flags that Mr Stefani might be hesitant to refund the money directly to Dale in the event a DHL investigation determines that something is rotten in Denmark and doesn't pay him and he gets left holding the bag. Which brings me back to the question of what this big commotion to get the refund is all about instead of just placing it in dispute.

Poppy Cock, to me it doesn't matter what the investigation yields. I couldn't care less if DHL denied the claim. Mike directly offered Dale a refund and he is now obligated to fulfill that offer to Dale.

Again, if the refund offered to Dale was contingent upon DHL approving the claim then Dale should have been made aware of that weeks ago. But Mike told Dale... "I (KEYWORD BEING "I") will be sending you a refund that you will have to sign for this time".

I think that, if I read the post correctly, what happened was that DHL did a drop-and-run with the $3000 package instead of ringing the bell for a signature, and that was Dale's concern, not that the $3000 package went missing. I think he got the $3000 package. Dale was unclear in his wording so I think Mike also thought that meant the package went missing. (Or maybe I'm the one who is misunderstanding.)

Dale, if you could clear that up I'd appreciate it. Did you get that $3000 package, or was it stolen/undelivered?

I don't disagree that he promised a refund. I just voiced what I think is likely going on with the foot dragging. And again, by law, if he charged this on a credit card and didn't receive it, he doesn't have to pay for it. I ASSumed that he charged it because he placed the order over the phone.

It has been rather difficult to read through this thread. I may have it all wrong as well.

Thanks for clarifying that.

In my experience, some people actually do prefer to do most discussion and agreement-making on the computer or in written form so they'll have some sort of proof of what was said. I haven't found that to be too unusual. I don't think I'd be too upset with someone for wanting to stick with e-mails (though I have appreciated shippers who were concerned enough about their stock that they called me or asked me to call them to make sure it arrived). No matter what format they use to contact you, though, it certainly helps if they keep in touch with you.

The long weekend is over!
As stated to you and this board a FEW TIMES now, your getting refunded your money!!!!!

You have shown your true colors as have I in this thread.
Good luck in the future Dale, and tell the next dealer sending you things you have a magic porch that things go missing from.
Had you told me about the thefts on your porch you would have had to sign for your Roach box too!

Oh, and you'll have to sign for the refund!
Mike Stefani
.........................................................................well mike first its the long weekend .its now 3 weeks later .now dhl is handling this.i didn't hire dhl.you owe me the 175.00 you have time to post new adds on k/s .............so man up.if your not going to keep your word say so. don't keep playing games as it will cost you in the long run this thread will stay active as long as it takes.don't show your self to be a rip off

I haven't been keeping up with the thread but I'm sort of surprised a refund has not been processed.
I'm thinking the weighing of the value of the arguments on each side is moot now that Mike has promised a refund.
Because of the mealworm shortage I'm sure his roach sales have skyrocketed and he is positioned to make a real name for himself in the reptile world. I know he must be much busier than he anticipated.
But by the same token, people read and make note of these threads and if a promise was made, it should be kept. And timely.

All I have to say about this is I'm very ashamed this yahoo from Muskegon is representing people from Michigan in such a bad light.

I live about 30 miles from him and I can assure you not all of us are fly off the handle nut cases. I hope this gets resolved so we don't have to see this Dale charactor try to spell out anything in the BOI again, his posts are to say the very least extremely hard to read.

It's crap posts like this one that prompt me to view you unfavorably regardless of whether or not you're the victim of any wrongdoing. You should do yourself a favor and stay on-topic, and express yourself in as few words as possible. Wordplay isn't your forte.

I thought it was OK considering Milly The Moron came along to post off topic insults and condemn him for his spelling when she doesn't seem to spell much better herself.

This spelling and punctuation crap Dale is taking hits for is a bunch of crap in my book. He has been ripped off and it has nothing to do with his spelling.
