    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Mike Webb Southern Serpents Bad Guy

Thank you for the updated info. I Bought 2 Bufo species from him and everything went fine except the delivery was not made by DHL on time; or for that matter the same day - but a day late. To make a long story short he got reimbursed for the late shipment and did not reimburse me as discussed on the phone. Heck I would have even been happy with 1/2 to buffer the time missed at work. The bufos were, and are still flawless.

Sorry I forgot the shipping refund, glad the bufo's are doing good, should have more later this year. Since then I have fired dhl, due to them never being on time, charging more than most of the quote the site gave, and pretty much never giving credit back when boxes were late, they usually say its was weather related so they dont have to give any refund.
 
I bought some Western hogs from Mike last summer, they are doing great and breeding! I think Mike had a bad deal or two but is willing to cover or make up for them. At least he is fixing his mess-up(s)
I would buy from him again. I like his Western Hogs, very pretty!
 
My experience

Met him herping in Texas a few years back. He talked a lot of crap and acted like he had money to burn. The first deal with him was face to face and he paid cash at the transaction. He then talked a big deal about buying a lot of herps from me. I had 32 assorted reptiles, phibs and bugs/spiders shipped to me while there. He kept saying he was on his way down to get them. Never showed. Never called. Nothing. After returning home, I finally got him on the phone and he had some story about how his truck got stuck and his cell would not work, yada, yada, yada......Since then I have heard nothing but bad about this guy and that he works for TP&W. Again I can only speak from my experience and is was 50/50 Good/Bad

Yea, Death Viper, Bill Something, A.K.A. Bob Sloan From Del Rio. Had 1 dealing with the guy, some decent stuff, some not what I expected. Never did anything wrong to me besides this crappy post under another name since he is banned under many id's. But look him up on the B.O.I. and his claims of breeding tons of texas tortoises and claiming he almost every endangered animal in texas. If I was T.P.W.D. I would have busted his ass.

Ya, those guys hate me just as much as they do every other texas herper and the feeling is mutual. By the way, Bob main reason I never bought from you again. Most of the baby greybands that you sold me as feeding snakes, never ate, and I lost 1/2 of them, and everybody I know called me and warned me about you as soon as I mentioned I got animals from you. Why did you run out of Texas and pop back up in California?

I had a deal with Mike Webb and all the animals came in as expected.

Thats interesting, as soon as I read the post I knew exactly who he was. His real name is Bob Sloan, some other guys have posted about him before, even giving past adderesses, vehicle model and plate numbers. He's a little cookoo, and I already expect him to pop up talking trash with some other fake name, maybe his next screen name should be more fitting, like Village Idiot or Pathelogical Liar, instead of Death Viper, what 50 year old guy thinks he's cool by using a name like Death Viper, he must think this is an audition for some action movie, he definatly makes up his own scripts.

Texas Parks and Wildlife... that guy must have been parinoid. Maybe I'll give a "Ticket" if he ever comes back around odessa, and stops by our big 3,000 SQ ft. retail store.

This is mike webb here, using my wife's account, still trying to figure out what my password is to my account and which email it was under since its been a couple years since I've been on here. Just wanted to clarify info on these old post.

1. mighty mike88- mike v, from odessa, tx. dont understand your post wanting to "kick my "@$$" you were still buying and selling me animals up until last fall when you had your kid and got out of herps. BTW congrats, hope your kids doing alright. But wtf, dont quite understand your post there.

2. Tim, yes its illegal to buy,sell, collect turtles out of texas now, I was moving up to oklahoma when that old ad for turtles was posted, I had a group that was grandfathered in, when the law came to, and sold them with paperwork since I could not still own/sell them once I moved to okc. Was keeping things legal there.

3. Still selling and dealing in captive bred herps, mainly boas and pythons nowdays. Business is still doing wonderful. Guess no new post on here in 2 years, because I haven't had any pissed off or dissapointed customers in 2 years. If there are any I still encourage them to contact me even now for resolution.

4. Since I have moved to OKC, here is my new contact info in case anybody needs to contact me.

this is mike webb, since i still have not been able to retrieve the password for my old account, i started a new one, its southern serpents 28, my wife still has her account ajocandy. posting this to avoid any confusion. hope everybody is having a great 2012. we have a slew of boa, pythons, beardies and leos expected to hatch \ be born soon. and we hope to see everybody at the okc, tulsa and kansas city show, and if we are able at some denver, st. louis and misc. repticon shows.

Last year, I purchased a sexed pair of Colorado River Toads from Mike Webb and even though he sent them Express, the USPS lost them for two days.:eek: When I finally got them, I found two perfectly healthy toads in flawless condition.:thumbsup: And they ate right out of the box.:spectator: They were correctly sexed and reasonably priced. It was one of the most trouble-free transactions I've ever had. I highly recommend him and will probably do business with him again this year. I wanna get another female.
 
Been awhile since I posted in this thread. Its been probably 11 years since I got screwed over by Mike but since he is turning over a new leaf and being honest and everything I just wanted to mention Mike said when he got some checkers he would send me some. He must be out of the checkered garter business because I haven't heard a thing from him in 11 years. Mike you are off the hook for the checkers because I want nothing from you but did want to inform everyone that you may be acting different currently but haven't taken care of your past. Last post to this thread from me because I release him from anything owed me and will not deal with him further.
 
Stephen kennedy, 11 years? I honestly forgot about checkered garters 11 years ago. What would i owe you on garters or cash? I am sorry you have had an 11 year grudge against me. I honestly have forgotten and i dont get on fauna hardly ever. I did more 11 years ago when i was an 18 year old kid. Although you post indicates that you do not wish to resolve this, i will offer to bring this back up and get it taken care of. What would i have to do to make you a happy customer? I havent been doing business for around 15 years now by trying to screw people over.
