    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Please do. I know it's been a rough ride here, but most of us are genuinely concerned as to what the outcome will be. Let's all hope it's negative, but as had been said, it's better to know even if it comes up positive.

My fingers are crossed for you and your animals.
 
Mindy, if you learn anything from this ... my hope is that it is to turn off your ego and your ears/eyes on/open.

Also, your mother is a wise woman & I would follow her advice.

New state anything without all the facts.

I do hope all test come back negative.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Perhaps the first step could be to take care of this situation, get the test done quickly, and suspend sales until results are back.

If you don't have the test done as quickly as possible, even if it ultimately comes back as negative, this thread and the continued sales might make some wonder what might happen the next time you think that one of your snakes might be ill.

It is not just the ultimate result, it is how you approach your husbandry issues that will help determine your reputation in the reptile world.
 
People like Mindy literally are the only things on this planet that scare me... And I mean truly scare me. These types will get our 'rights to own exotics' pulled in a heartbeat! Thanks a lot.
 
Having the possibility of IBD associated with your collection is the kiss of death for sales. With so many top flight breeders out there, why would anyone consider buying anything from a collection linked to potential IBD? The market for ball pythons and boas is glutted with available animals. In a buyers' market, buyers can be selective.

I think this is part of the problem. You seem to have an 'everyone is picking on me' attitude instead of realizing that many here have taken time and trouble to post helpful advice for your benefit.

No, you are not doing all you possibly can. In my opinion, that would have been a public assurance that the test would be done as quickly as possible, and shutting down sales pending results.
No tests or necropsy were done and you are not sure what you are dealing with, yet you are going back and forth between his shop and your home. How is that helping Andy?
 
Has anyone here actually emailed Andy and Mike and explained the seriousness of this post? All I saw were mindys emails or messages to them. When I was 18 I was hard headed and thought I knew it all and anyone who told me I was wrong I took it as an attack and got defensive just like mindy. When I would talk to people about a situation I would make myself look like the victim which is what I'm pretty sure mindy did and oml told them what she knew would help her claim of being a victem. I'm not a snake person and had I not read this I wouldn't know how serious this situation is. Thanks to everyone who did a top notch job of explaining the disease in question as well as other possible issues. Honestly when I started out I wish i had some many experienced smart people trying to help me! I know it's hard to put down the defensive walls but this is a great opportunity I wish mindy could see that.. someday she will look back and want to kick herself many times for resisting everyone's help. I know Mike he's a family friend and I'm sure he would probably come here to defend his name and his store if he knew the whole story not just what mindy edited out to make her victem story believable.

I checked out the youtube link and the newest shipment. Even if I didn't know the story here the description makes me think she's covering her buns because she knows something is wrong with the snake.. I've shipped out tons of reptiles and never once made a video to show the animal was healthy and alive before being shipped. I'm a skeptical person but to me it just seems like she's already trying to cover her buns before the snake even leaves her house.

Just for the record I don't know mindy, have never met her, and don't have anything against her. I don't want her to take anything I say as an attack because it's not. I wish her the best and truly hope she is successful. There is still time to make this all better so it doesn't hang over your head for the rest of your career. Trust me i did stupid things when I was younger and if I hadn't worked my butt off and learned from what I did I would be working a million times harder now that I'm an adult. If you dont handle and fix this now it's going to be a million times harder to make go away every minute you wait. Time is ticking I hope you make the right choice and don't hide from this. Your future self will thank you!!!

I emailed This Side of Paradise and received a nice reply from Andy, I had sent a link to this thread so he is aware of the thread.
As far as Amazing Animalz, I tried to email them from the 'Contact Us' on their site, the email didn't go through, they did not answer their phone when I tried to call, and there are no last names for them on the site.
I do not know whether they are aware of this thread, but I think in general that businesses should make it their business to be contacted easily.
 
Doesn't look like "covering my buns to me." This person also does not have any other snakes..

It is going to take time because of money. For those who were wondering. I will need to take out a loan to do this. I am working on it right now.

I appreciate the emails I have recieved from those who are too afraid to post on this thread defending me, and those who have emailed me information with schooling. Those of you - thank you.

I will let you know when I get the lab results, and per Andy's rules, I am not allowed to post the results publicly. The results will be available for anybody buying a snake from me or him who request the information. I apologize for this inconvenience, but it is what is it.
 
So, let me get this straight. You're paying for test results on your snake, but Andy is making rules on if the tests can be made public? Also, how are you making a 75% commission on sales and need to take out a loan for $200. This is all laughable.
 
Um its $200 for the IBD test for one snake. I need to do 12 tests total if you have forgotten that. Please go back and read through. I am not answering questions here anymore as they are already answered. If you have a question, go back and read.
