In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry MJC Serpents...

Aren't these your personal snakes? Aren't they separate from Andys snakes? So why does he have any dictation over what you post, and why would you not want to publicly post the results when they are exactly what is in question right now? So many questions, none of this makes sense.

I will let you know when I get the lab results, and per Andy's rules, I am not allowed to post the results publicly. The results will be available for anybody buying a snake from me or him who request the information. I apologize for this inconvenience, but it is what is it.

Uhhh, Whenever someone searches your name in Google before doing business with you...this thread is going to pop up. If you don't post the test results, you're only going to damage yourself further. People want to see proof of your collection being healthy before introducing any of your animals to their collection. A lot of us do business through word of mouth and if no one knows if your collection is clean...wipe those sales goodbye.

and per Andy's rules, I am not allowed to post the results publicly.

That's ALLEGED rules

You've lied so often about 'last posts' people may question what you say. You lie about little stuff, people have every right to question you about bigger stuff.
And no, for something like this, no one is going to call and possibly be dragged into a 'he said, she said'.

I think that because of the lack of candor people may avoid you and This Side of Paradise as well. If critter health is a subject of alleged secrecy, people may simply avoid dealing with those who make it secret.

In my opinion, your claim of not being able to afford the tests is suspect. You apparently train and show Arabian horses. Here, from your bio on this site:

Biography
I train and show mainly Arabian horses, my forte is English Pleasure but I also do Dressage, Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, and Halter. I love to draw and read books and am working on starting college to get my veterinary degree and be a herp vet

I've owned horses and these days the saddles, bridles and other stuff is pretty expensive. You could sell off some of that for funds if you thought the tests were important enough.

I think this is just another delay tactic.

:iagree:

I've shipped out tons of reptiles and never once made a video to show the animal was healthy and alive before being shipped. I'm a skeptical person but to me it just seems like she's already trying to cover her buns before the snake even leaves her house.
I haven't shipped a snake out (yet) but when I start I plan to video the packing process, though there's no reason to post them online. I do have video of the unboxing for every snake I've had shipped in to me.

After seeing how FedEx handles packages I consider it cheap insurance. While some of their employees have a clue about what "Perishable" and "Live Animal" means on the outside of the box, one of the boxes I picked up at the hub was tossed up and down by the counter worker as she retrieved it. Yes, I lit her derriere up.

IF you even plan to test, and actually do get the tests done, nobody is going to just take your word, for it, as to the results of the tests.
Proof (image/s of test results) would need to be posted.

Honestly, if results came back negative, it would be in your (and Andy's) best interest, and great benefit, to show proof of that. If you do not post proof, people are just going to assume there must be something to hide. If people believe the latter, combined with your attitude, husbandry errors, etc., it would be safe to say that many potential customers will be (if not already) lost.

It is already too late. The dye was cast the moment her name was associated with IBD on the first page of this thread. Anyone familiar with the ravages of IBD will not risk buying from this person. Fairly or unfairly, game over.

Oh, she may be lucky enough to have some customers who are noobs &/or unaware of everything surrounding her.
However, there are a "ton" of Fauna members, and there is also word of mouth, where I am sure she will lose many potential customers.
I know that I will avoid doing any business with her. Not solely based on the possibility of IBD but also due to her attitude/behavior, poor husbandry practices, and no desire to change or to learn from those more knowledgeable/experienced.
Even if, by chance, IBD has not touched her collection, her poor husbandry already has her set up with a good likelihood that IBD (or other illness/disease) will hit her collection one day. Sad.

Sorry but it's EVERYONE'S business when you are selling animals. Only a "tool" would not care about potentially spreading disease to customers.

I did not care for the 'cat vs snake' video. If it was filmed, it had to be a setup and in my opinion it was cruel to both critters.
(I was doing a search to see if this thread would come up on a search, it did, it was on the next page).

Mindy constantly posts screenshots in her group making fun of other people for being n00bs.

Kinda amusing, when she's one herself.

Wait, I thought you were testing the animals at your house in your own person collection, NOT the ones "Andy owns" that you get commission off of from selling them. Those animals from your own words have never come in contact with any of "Andy's snakes", although it has been advised that you test one of those snakes too. The test you get done on your personal collection, I would post any and all evidence to clear you and your past. Why Andy would tell you're not allowed to post it... only shows that maybe he too is hiding stuff and doesn't want the public to know. Sadly that doesn't look good at all for or on him and his business.

It's frustrating to see Mindy bringing a boa to her house as recently as yesterday:
I was sent a link to Mindy's YouTube channel. She did indeed ship out the boa and posted a video of it 3 hours ago -- it has the same wooden floors as the other videos she posted of snakes in her house, so it was either shipped from her own collection or brought to her house before shipping:

Has no one been able to convey the seriousness of the situation when viruses causing IB symptoms are suspected? Is there no way to convey the gravity of the situation? Mindy, pending the blood tests, you MUST assume the animals are compromised. This even comes after being chewed out for not realizing / denying that you cross contaminated locations by bringing an animal to the store:

I am also not employed at This Side of Paradise Pets. I am not paid hourly, I am paid by my snakes that I sell. I get 75% commission and he gets 25%. We are partners. He even refers to us as a team and views the shop as both of ours. He had not touched a snake until four weeks ago when I brought Tallulah in to show him. He is learning while I teach him. And he now has two snakes of his own. A normal female and a KingPin male. His wife bought a Columbian Rainbow Boa I had there to sell. They caught the snake fever and have me and only me to thank for it. They had not the slightest clue what to do with snakes. I have paved them a path and made them ready to own snakes. They are always asking me questions and they have been taking my advice. They are thoroughly enjoying every second of it. I don't see the nagativity in that, but okay.

The bold emphasis above is mine. Don't make your statement become ironic!

It is going to take time because of money.

Why have you not made a good faith effort to start with one test?

Mindy, this is not going away. Go back and read this entire thread with fresh eyes, try to pick up on the concerns that are being expressed here by readers.

Young people make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. That's OK, because that is how we learn. When you or anyone else makes a mistake they have choices in how to respond and the choices they make say a lot about them.
The choices you seem to be making are avoidance, delay, and secrecy in a situation that in my opinion calls for urgency and transparency.

I'm disappointed with the choices you seem to be making. I'm disappointed too in the choices Andy has made.
Every day is a new day and a new opportunity, but it is a fact of life that first impressions are hard to change. The longer these issues proceed without a satisfactory conclusion, the more difficult it may be to change the minds of those who have read this thread.

As of this morning, there are over NINE THOUSAND views of this thread.

Here are her You Tube "snake with IBD" videos, from 12-30-13, and cat vs snake video. Look quickly. I am sure they deleted soon. Very telling, very disturbing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKBJ8ZTHmgY - "cat vs snake"

You are correct. The IBD videos have been deleted.
Oddly, the cat vs. Snake video is still up. Well, maybe not so odd since she does not consider any of her actions & husbandry, with regard to her animals, as wrong or questionable.
Mindy, as it appears, is just attempting to get rid of, and hide, anything with regard to IBD.
