    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No, I don't think so. I beleive you are seeing the business end of the red dragon in the midst of her methane removal process. I hear when she's been feeding on baked beans the stars themselves are dimmed by the brightness of the explosions.

And no, I wasn't asking for a time at all. Just a 24 hour period with a date attached to it will suffice. And yes, you CAN do something so abusive on that chosen date in order to try to make your prediction true, but would it? Would your powers of reading the future be able to take into account what I would hold to be more valuable under the circumstances, canning your butt or proving you were all wet with your "prediction" capabilities? But heck, that's what predicting the future is all about, eh? :D See the problem with your foretelling the future is that it would have to negate free will. Can you DO that, Wes?

Laura I'm not trying to be the grammar police but I think you may have been wanting to use the other speeling of the word cuz the one you used to describe Cheryl will get her 20 years to life depending on how much of HEROIN she is to you.....lol

HHMoore I think I may have to give you this one. I thought maybe there was something in the program that would keep track of it. I can't remember all the spots I went and then could remember to write how many times I went there etc..... So let me step back and admit that my proposal was absurd. I must say though and I ask this honestly, "Do you find you view things differnently or open threads you are not really interested in because you are a moderator? Or do you just go about your normal routine and view things of interest and come across things that need moderating?" I would think being a moderator and a member would change that. Oh well I am wrong and you can quote me on that. I guess I need to reevaluate how this thing all works.

So Cheryl, I know I know Iam going to the corner. Boy you don't have be so demanding :eek:

I absolutely DO open things I wouldn't have as a regular member...and I do revisit (or continue to open) certain types of threads more frequently than I would if I wasn't a moderator, just to keep an eye on them. A prime example is the fact that I visit the BOI with any regularity...my norm was to use it prior to my own purchases and if I saw a name I recognized. I rarely followed threads there for long, because the tangents and bickering are rarely sources of amusement for me. One point I should mention, in fairness, is that many of the discussion threads I viewed were open & close deals. Titles found in the latest discussions section (mainpage) give no indication of the section they are in - when I open them to find that they pertain to something of no interest to me (leopard geckos, bearded dragons, whatever) I usually just close it and move on.
As I mentioned somewhere, I am shifting my viewing habits back toward my own interests somewhat. I believe my actual statement was that I don't mind being known as a moderator, but I prefer to be known as who I am...and that can best be seen in other sections of this site. The BOI is the place that needs the most moderation, but the discussion forums are really why I am here & I have pretty much abandoned them over the last few weeks. Might that make me somewhat less effective as a moderator? Perhaps so, but I am a member & forum moderator first. Hopefully, I can find a happy medium; but if times dictate I will be back on the beat in the BOI.
