Seriously? My comment is every bit as valid and relevant to your thread here as Dan's. I don't think your outlay of time (wasn't it just hours?) and the hassle of having to repost an ad warrants a boi thread. How many potential buyers do you think you might have lost since the time he committed and backed out?

I'm pretty sure your missing the point. Obviously people back out of deals and agreements everyday. But his point is with him having a tremendous reputation he put faith into to him and potentially lost a sale now.

Good people have money issues sometimes. I don't see evidence that Brian isn't telling the truth about why he backed out. Its not like he just decided against it after keeping the seller hanging for an extended period of time.

That is basically all im stating, i knew him as having a great reputation. I said take your time paying, as i thought hey if he has that good of a reputation there is no worry of him backing out. So now all im asking for is proof of paypal not working,if its presented i will apologize, if not i think i make a valid point...dont make offers then back out.
one of my last comments on here..as i said before im not trying to live on here, defending what i think is wrong and right, if i thought i was wrong i wouldnt of ever started this thread.

Sorry, Brian. I should have said that good people sometimes hit cash flow snags. It happens. I will sometimes be all set to purchase something and can't because my credit card is maxed. That doesn't mean that I don't have money to pay for that item. It just means that I can't use the card, and if I am trying to buy something that isn't local, that means that I either have to wait or pass altogether. That is basically what I see happened with Brian.

yea donna i am out, im out time with text messages, marking the animal sold, possibly loosing a sale if someone wanted her before marking sold,and then having to mark the ad back up for sale.

I think you should know by now not to count the money until it's in your hand. If you lost any sales due to your marking the listing as "sold", that's on you, not Brian. Whether or not the potential buyer has a good reputation is moot. A transaction isn't completed until money has changed hands.

I don't think he's under any obligation to post proof. Even if it were simply a matter of him changing his mind on a whim, this thread would be no less unwarranted.

I can see this thread is already headed the wrong way due to the reps of both seller and potential buyer. I see this thread is already headed the wrong way due to friendships, loyalties and emotions.

Both Brendon and Brian have good reps, both have been here for a few years and both are respected and well-liked. I have nothing but respect for both Brian and Brendon myself.

That said, I see animals all the time for sale I would LOVE to add to my collections. I see animals that could potentially turn a profit for me if I just had the cash.

Unfortunately, I also have financial responsibilities that extend beyond just my animal collection - my house, my kid(s), water, electric, phones, cable, food (animal and people), cars, taxes, medical, dental, blah blah blah.

I know what I have in the bank, I know what's in my savings acct, I know what my "disposable" cash is.

I honestly don't know what it means to have a "frozen" account, but I do know if I ain't got the cash I ain't gonna buy it or make a promise to buy it.
If the funds aren't there, I don't make promises or make purchases.

Frankly, at this point, it doesn't matter if Brian's PayPal isn't working or not and Brian should not be compelled to provide proof. Brendon should also not be raked thru the coals because he posted this INFO thread (NOT a bad guy thread)

The sale did not go through as was originally believed it would. Brendon, you can still make your sale, it'll be okay. Nobody ripped you off or scammed you.
It happens ... all the time.

Brian, if you want to make a deal, follow through.

When in doubt, walk peacefully out (I made that up myself )

My opinion is not biased by any means with me having previous (GREAT) dealings with Brian, but if I posted every "backed out deal" or "inquire then disappear" I'd easily have 10+ threads on here every week. It's not common but these kinds of things do happen with paypal.

Oh and brian buddy, take the caps lock off.

I'm not sure if this comment is helpful or not, but it's really not unusual for PayPal to suspend accounts if they think activity is suspicious. My account gets flagged maybe once a month. It's annoying, but it's just part of using PayPal.

Yeah, that just sounds like PayPal being its usual self. If the bank flagged the transactions and informed PayPal, PayPal always seems to jump the gun and suspend an account for the owner's safety.

Nicholas nailed it, when you have a verbal or written "yes, I will or am going to buy...." you should list the animal as pending or temporarily take the animal down off any ads, not list as sold, until money is in your bank/hands. If Brian said, I cant send money now or for a little while, because of whatever reason, and to go ahead and keep the animal offered and sell if another buyer has the funds and means to send money sooner, then go ahead, Im not seeing where the problem is. Unless Im missing something, seems like either you hold the animal for Brian when all is good and he can send money and either mark the animal as pending or just take the animal off any ads for the time being, or the next available buyer that has the ability to get the animal then or sooner, thats who gets it. If all that a seller is out is some time and text messages, there are much much bigger and worse ways to be out.

If you are going to fix your account....BUY THE ANIMALS! You commited, you buy. Or did you find something else you wanted? Just because they froze your account doesn't mean you have to back out. That is just an excuse in my eyes.

As for reputations....Brian has been rude to me before as for Brendan.

I asked Brendan in the past for pictures of an animal he was selling and I told he didn't have time to take pictures and if I was not ok with that, somebody else would buy them. Who sells animals and tells a potential buyer they don't have time to satisfy them???

As for Brian, he came at me sideways because I asked if he was able to come down on the price of a Pastel Het Clown. He asked where I thought I was going to get one for cheaper and told me good luck bud! Mind you, I did find one for $300 cheaper who produced 3 pastel clowns for me this year. Not to mention he posted sold on somebodys ad a day or two ago and I asked who was selling the animal, he said he bought her. I suggested he should really keep the "sold" replies to the seller, he responded with SOLD!!!

What am I getting at here? I personally would expect nothing more from these two from the accounts I have had with them. Whoever made the reply about Biggie and Tupac....These guys buy, sell and breed snakes, they are far from established musicians or schollars. Let not make anybodies heads bigger than they should be or already are. BTW, I looked for the PMs from these guys and they have been deleted or bumped because they were too old. If you want to knock my rep down for stating something without proof go ahead.

This is really what I came for here above. I kinda wanted to see if anybody else had any 'similar' experiences with Brian.. Because.. In the end, we ALL leave a trail behind..

I had a hilarious trade offer from Brian one time a couple years ago, or less.. And what I mean to say is... an offer of two Possible Het males for a breeder morph female Ball, or something to that tune. I was sick with laughter for a minute, or 3, then I wondered... Who the does something like that?

It was hilarious enough that I never forgot the taste it left in my mouth.

He earned a top ranking in/on my DNFBOSTL that day. It's getting huge these days, I guess I should make mention!
