In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

hey guys !
sorry to see this situation afoot.
as one witness to all of this(the other witness being Jame's girlfriend), i feel compelled to chime in.
i do recall the actual transaction that preceded this inquiry thread.
James and his girl are frequent guests at the shows in the northeast. pleasant people, both. James and i are both from long island, and we even talked about a breeder loan for a while regarding his het-clown female ( i hope she's a het !... and, i hope she's a female !... only kidding James !...)
one particular show, towards the end of the day, James picks out the nicest of three cinnamon animals off of George's table. it's possible that George sexed it right then and there, as i've seen him do this many a time, but i won't say because i don't actually recall seeing that happen. however, i do recall in the hours leading up to that transaction George talking about "holding that girl back". as it was the nicest of the three (actually a real nice example, with lots of white on the sides... if i recollect correctly). with that in mind, i'd have to believe that even if it does turn out to be a male at the conclusion of this saga, George had to have at least thought it was a girl.
that being said, of course anything is possible...
fast forward a couple of shows later, James and his lovely lady stop at the booth and he indicates that the cinny is a male. George is surprised by this claim, but was willing to acquiesce ( if the animal was indeed a male) to whatever method of rectification would ameliorate the situation for James.
James did not have the snake at the time.
at a subsequent show, i did in fact run into Jame's girl, and inquired if he was around ( James, feel free to ask her this. i even referred to you as "Steve" by accident, as you remind me of another blond guy with a ponytail by that name that i happen to know... please accept my apology !) she said you were around, but i never did see you that day, this was a couple shows back.
knowing both parties in this alleged tragedy, it bothers me that it has come to this. James seems like a good guy, and George i know first hand is a good guy. hopefully this will be settled shortly, and to the satisfaction of the parties involved. However, whatever happens, i know that George absolutely loathes the scumbags that exist in this business. i know he would never willfully screw anyone and risk being thought of as one of them. he produces way too many exquisite, sought-after, and valuable animals to let a 200.00 transaction put his reputation at risk. it's unfortunate that James is at odds with George here, but i'd have to say that perhaps his not pursuing his claim with any vigor when the issue was burning hot, is what has him in this predicament now. for you guys that have never met James, he doesn't speak like he types (bro... your typing skills are for the birds) he's actually real easy to understand in person !
all kidding aside... hopefully James either lets this issue go, or uses the credit that George has apparently offered him here to get something else ( a generous offer for a two-year-old beef...)(at least in my opinion).
James, you gotta believe me, George has probably hundreds of happy customers. i've seen many of them come back time and again to his table. i've yet to see anyone come back with a problem ( present situation excluded... of course).
now i have to get back to the proposal i need to finish writing by this weekend. too much work, too little time !
i won't be contributing any more to this thread.

This is really the crux of the situation.
I know George to be a great guy, but there are plenty of people out there who would (and have) made all sorts false claims after buying a snake. Without proving that they snake you (OP) have is a male, or that its the same one you bought from him, how could he protect himself against being taken advantage of by you? His offer to give you a credit without seeing the animal is quite generous I'd say. Personally I do ask for some evidence before I refund... If you want a better offer from George, I think you're going to have to make a lot more effort then just posting something on the internet.
To me it sounds like the OP only gave 10% effort to resolve this, but now expects George to give 100% effort without proof of his claims.

It's quite easy to pop a snake, especially a baby, and have it look female when it is, in fact, male.
ms. broadus, have you ever seen or done this? I seem to recall that you had quite a bit of difficulty sexing your snakes at one time. Perhaps the buyer is as inexperienced as you and the seller made an honest mistake.
Still though, with no pictures there is no proof of wrong sexing.

I've been doing business with George Sampson aka Morph Madness for about a year and a half (myself being the customer). I have purchased several animals from him, to the tune of several thousand dollars, and everything I have gotten has been sexed properly and arrived in excellent condition.
George is a stand-up guy, and he is very easy to get in touch with. I have recommended him to many people and will continue to do so.

The OP waited too long to make any real effort to resolve this. George doesn't owe him anything, in my opinion.

Yeah Tom,
Now you know why I got heated I was accussed for something else but my name was cleared very quickly it was stupid. Some guy copyed and pasted my add but sorry to hear he must of screwed over a bunch of people because its like 16 something pages long and going, then this happen its very stressing. I know there are accidents but hey as long as you do good thats fine. I am not out there making millions on snakes but I do have a very nice selection of stuff and a very good reputation and I back everything I sell if I produced it or not, and would like to keep it. I know i have a little temper an nedd time to cool down but like I sayed this is suppose to be fun and enjoying but when people take advantage of me that pisses me off. I know george just called and if he is reading this thats fine I figured i will call him tomorrow and see what happens lets us or me cool down. If he does good on this I will no dought thank george for doing the right thing and let everbody know on here. No need for hatred

IF the buyer is even telling the truth (remember, we have no proof), then it was an honest mistake on the part of the seller...let's not get over dramatic and make it out to sound like there was any "wrong doing".
Why offer a discount? I think George was offering to bite the bullet in the name of customer satisfaction, rather than asking for proof or being confrontational. The fact is, he's going above and beyond what most breeders would do....don't try to turn that around and use it as ammo against him.

frank you are right I am not saying george is a scumbag (never said that lol) I felt that this was going on for awhile and getting side stepped like I said it was a honest mistake and whatever he knows that there was a problem and maybe it was all about timing at the shows that I thought he was side stepping me.If he doesnt have a female and wants to work something out thats fine even if I have to give him more money for something else (I want somebody else there to sex him lolll) I am sorry to drag you in this but like I said I talked to you more then him. I think this will be resolved quickly neither of you guy were a@#h%les I did like to shoot the s#@t with you at the shows but stop looking at my girlfriend lolllllllllll

Excuse you for attacking my "questionable experience" or "knowledge" without knowing me at all.
Of course I've sexed snakes and geckos wrong, but to me it does not sound like the buyer contacted the seller within a (in my opinion) reasonable amount of time. It's hard to say though because a lot of what the buyer has written makes absolutely no sense to me, I am unclear of when the buyer first contacted the seller but it seems to be more then a year.
My advice is fine, you're right. I did not say "YOU MUST DO IT THIS WAY OR YOU MUST DO IT THAT WAY". Take a chill pill and don't try to act like you know anything about my experience just because I don't have as many posts on here as yourself or others do. Just because someone doesn't have a "name" in the reptile community does not mean they do not have the experience others do.

I am wondering how shady are you now? wow what a thread all the prize winners are coming out of the closet!!! (now read) the show was a week later so I figured he would be there.
