    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thank you. You are right though, hopefully if anyone searches for westcoastroaches, they will see this. It is just frustrating to end up here because someone decided you "deserved" it. I think the BOI is a great idea, but in instances like this.. ANYONE could become a "bad guy". Even if they are very reputable. There really is no stopping someone from trying to ruin someones reputation for any reason. I just hope in the future, someone will read this and see through it, not just see my name and assume I scammed someone :(
 
Technically i was all past MReynolds, she provided the tracking number hours ago. My issue with the rest of the school girl club who deny reality and logic. You can call me a joke, a nightmare all you want. But on my standing point I am correct and you girls can't bring yourselves to admit your wrong.

Name calling usually starts when people start to lose a debate, and cant come up with valid points to support there position.

Melissa I apologized many times for blowing up your facebook.I have said repeatedly. I should have not. But i am sticking to my ground when it comes to the rest of the stepping up taking baseless pot shots when they have nothing to do with the transaction to begin with.
 
Jon, you should probably step away from the computer, as all you're doing is digging a deeper hole for yourself. I realize that no matter how many people tell you the same thing, you're going to continue to stomp your feet and say, "I'm not wrong, you are!", but the truth is, you're painting a pretty bad picture of yourself.

I have done no name calling, called nobody a joke. I have simply stated that a merchant should take a few minutes to care for their customer. If that's wrong, so be it. If holding someone who sells you something accountable for service, them i'm wrong. I will continue to be wrong. I have stated not set a standard that I don't hold myself accountable to.
I am aware this is very public and many will read it. I am not scarred, nor do I think that this will hurt me in the long run. In the end it all boils down to what you will do for your customer.

If a customer wants what they ordered shipped from a supplier and want to know when there package will arrive and if it don't, has every available recourse action open to them. They will come to me. Because I know for a fact that's what they want.

If they want to diddle around waiting for their order to go out, and stand aimlessly by the mailbox waiting for an order that did or did not ship. Then they will go to other sellers that do that sort of thing.But they cant complain when they do, because if they do, they get berated in the forums and called names.Surely nobody wants that happen. They have a 7 full pages of that happening here tonight.

Why did you not contact me yesterday? Why did you not tell me how important it would be for them to ship yesterday? Lucky for me, I generally do not ship after Wednesday unless it is requested but YOU never expressed any urgent need. You have been avoiding questions I ask. Since this IS my BOI. All of our messages two days ago, were polite and friendly and to the point. Never heard a thing yesterday from you. Then you went bonkers this morning, I don't know exactly how many hours it was from start to finish, but I know I did send the tracking info asap when I came online. I don't think anyone here is glued to a computer 24/7. Kudos to you if you are...

Normally, I would have seen everything this morning and replied promptly, but I did not come on until whatever time it was when I first replied. I think the major point you are missing, which everyone is trying to show you.... you didn't give ANY time to fix anything. You decided to create an uproar is a few hour span. It went from fine to chaotic in under a day. Your shipment was sent yesterday. Everything you have want, you got. And no you did not name call but you certainly tried to ruin my reputation which is much larger than petty name calling. You have NOT simply stated anything. You harassed me( yes you apologized but you still did it) and then did this. Which is a huge deal to me. I personally am not calling you wrong for whatever else you are preaching, it is waiting a few hours for a response and then trashing me that rubbed me wrong( which THAT you have yet to apologize for). THAT is jumping the gun. That was wrong and not fair at all. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this whole thing. And I realize this is beating a dead horse, but since this all happened today, I'm still irritated and would like to be heard out....
 
1. The get instant confirmation of their purchase.
2.We are here to communicate with them regarding their order before, during and after the sale.
3. They will be provided with the tracking number for their purchase very quickly after the purchases made.
4. They will know when the item hits the post office, and can track it all the way to their house.
5. That they will receive a level of service from us that they can't expect from other sellers.
6. That the price I have does not change whether on this forum, Ebay, our website. No gouging like i find to be customary here on Fauna.
7. You message us, no matter if we are on the road, chilling at a beach, having a contest or whatever. You can reach us. You can get information regarding your purchases or future purchases.We provide our email address, our phone number and our real name.

8. That I am willing to fall on a sword others see as ridiculous because I am so obstinate and arrogant that I don't care if I alienate hundreds, if not thousands, of potential customers due to my stubbornness and unwillingness to reason with people.
 
I am not unreasonable, now all that the apparent school yard effort to bully is some what quite. We may have the ability to communicate effectively.

You are right I did jump the gun. I had no intentions of ruing your reputation. I regardless of what everyone else believes do not think that a BOI can ruin your reputation unless you ignore it or go nuts in it.

If a person can see you are working your issue out and taking care of the customer, you will have no issues. That shows you do what you need to make sure issues are taken care of.

I placed the order on Tuesday mornig-mid afternoon. You ship up until Wednesday. One would assume the order would ship on Wednesday and be here Friday Saturday. As far as not contacting you yesterday, I gave you the time to in the 24 hour window to send it over. I assumed you would, so there is no need for me to contact you. A full day and half is not unreasonable to want the tracking number for a perishable item, nor is it unreasonable to expect the shipper to the information to the buyer. If this were shoes, I would not worry, a shirt, I could care less. But if I don't even know the item has been shipped how can I know when to expect it or even have someone available to rescue the box from the lazy mailman and certain death.

With that said, You did indeed give me the tracking number when you came on said spoke your mind. I spent a few hours defending my position from the rest of the crowd in this conversation.

Unfortunately, I think the real loser here is Fauna. The members have overwhelmingly shown that you cant post in a BOI unless you are ready for a fight. I would assume the BOI is for a buyer and a seller, and not for anyone who decide to pop in and give their opinion that only half makes sense.Ultimately those actions will limit the ability of all buyers feeling confident about buying from people on the site.

I have a BOI a few spaces under this I just found today. Didnt evn know it existing. I dont even know the person who they say sold them roaches. Though no fault of my own that was posted. I do however know mayday. That one I can claim.

Yes, if i do not perform to what i posted as my stranded. Yes I fully expect BOI's. Further more since i wrote it, I'm going to put it on the front page of my site, and in every classified ad i post. I am fully aware lots are reading the post, but lots also know what to expect, and whats not unreasonable.

If a person goes to a forum and buys the very least they deserve is a confirmation of some sort that they don't have to go looking for especially when there is so many merchants competing for the same business.
 
wow. crazy thread. i have bought and sold (fair amount of times, i might add) without tracking numbers.

maybe im just less concerned when purchasing/sending an animal(s) or product that is overnighted, rather than over the course of a few or several days.

example, when i purchase feeders and they take a week or two to ship, i request a tracking number, but overnight, ive never really been concerned.

thats just one persons experience and thoughts
 
I see no perfectly good reason why if your feeding a live animal live insects and you bought and paid for it, that any seller could not package then ship it and let you know its on its way. A simple email is all it takes to show you are working on that order and its coming to you.
 
Wow! How many times can one person put their foot in their mouth? People obviously don't realize when they need to just shut up and swallow their pride.
 
just seems premature to do a bad guy thread right off the bat, maybe rather than an inquiry or something first. lots of reps have been destroyed and built up on minimal threads here.
most people will hopefully read through this, but some wont, and that in turn, affects the subject in time.
so many people are so quick to jump the gun and slap a bad guy thread on someone/business, before REASONABLE amount of time has passed to know the full story
 
Seller took my order 2 days ago. Has provided no tracking number, no communications either here on Fauna , Facebook or via email. Had to file a dispute with paypal to make sure they did not rob me of my 80 bucks.

Do not deal with these people as they are very quick to give quotes and take your money, but very slow to respond after payment has been made.

Would have been perfectly willing to wait, however when a seller completely disappears after taking a payment, that usually equals a scam.

I would be doing a huge injustice to all the other buyers if I didn't warn you of what went on with my transaction.

I am sorry you and everyone else feels that way. I do not think that I am better, smarter or anything better than anyone else. I will defend myself.

I expect when I spend money that the person takes it serious and gives me a tracking number. I am a consumer and a business. As a consumer I expect for my money to get a tracking number to track my purchase.

Now we have a cache of pages all beating me up for that. I now know to expect a person to provide a tracking number for a purchase is completely outlandish and uncalled for.

I will continue to do these things for my customers, that is the standard i set for my self. I will not apologize for doing everything I can to make sure that a clients know what is going on with their orders and when to expect their package. Whether other merchants do that is up to them and the customers they service.

There were plenty of people who took that chance to try something different and got pleasantly surprised that I in fact did just as I publicly claim i would do and handled their order in a professional manner and gave them the information they need to receive and enjoy their order.

For that I cant apologize. For causing such an uproar, yes I do apologize. Had I have known in advance that a confirmation of shipment was such a huge and outlandish request, I would have not. If I had known that the merchant was not capable of providing that information, I would not have purchased. That is nothing against her or her ability or her methods of handling her transactions

I honestly do not believe it is to much to ask for a merchant to give the buyer the information they need.
