In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My Turn! (AKA, it's about time!)

That's awesome! I was afraid that the egg in the middle, that had all yellow when candled, was going to be a dud. Looks like you've got an entire healthy clutch! Now, how soon do you get to "scoop them out"?? LOL

Thank you! Me too, though once I thought about it, it made sense. I've seen lots of leopard gecko and fat-tail gecko eggs a couple days after they were laid, and they looked the same: just a ring of red on the top of the egg. Granted, I thought BP eggs always came out with full veins and everything, but I guess not!

Still a long time, sadly. Day 56 will be August 8, so I'm expecting them around that time. I'm glad I'm not waiting for them to be laid anymore, but it's still rather excruciating waiting for them to hatch!

Today (Monday) is Day 50! Despite that it's unlikely they'll hatch before Saturday, I'm already doing the obsessive daily checking.

"Have you hatched yet?"
"Have you hatched yet?"
"Have you hatched yet?"

Looking good! Can't wait to see what comes out! I've got a clutch just a few days behind yours, too :D

Its getting close!! Yay!

Yep! I'm starting to get all excited! (Though, my subconscious has already seen fit to give me nightmares on the subject. Grr.)

Thanks! Me too!

Oooh, congrats on your clutch as well! Hopefully, we'll both have lots of cute, healthy babies soon!

Those are even better than the ice cream was I bet. Congrats!

Any offspring out of the CH boy yet? I'm dying to see what sort of stuff he produces and which line it'll be compatible with.

Definitely, Shadera! Even better than double-fudge brownie or mint chocolate chip! :D

Not yet, but he'll be breeding with Voodoo (Molybdenum) next year! I'm excited to see what comes out! I still suspect Voodoo has something genetic going on, too, with that strange purple/grey belly of hers.

If Nimbus (Titanium) is genetic, I'd bet a good amount of money he's not compatible with VPI Axanthics. VPIs tend to have a keyhole pattern and cool greys, but he has a banded-ish pattern of warm greys. He's actually a spitting image of TSK Axanthics, so it may be best to try them first. You're welcome to some of his offspring if you want!

WELP

The first one pipped today! And with some prodding from a friend, I finally broke down and cut little holes in the rest to see what I got. I'm pretty sure I have two Axanthics and five hets. Yes, I'm very glad Bitey proved out (not that I doubted the breeder...but you never know), and I'm also very glad I got more than one Axanthic (that would've been sad). Was kinda hopin' for at least three, but I need to stop whining and be glad for what I have. :)

I'll post pics as they come out of the eggs.

Thanks!!!

How far along is yours? You said just a few days behind this one?

Yep :) In about 1/2 hour they will be on day 51. I cut mine though, so I've got an idea of what I've got :dgrin: Best clutch is on day 38 (in a 1/2 hour too), I'm REALLY anxious about them! I candled them today and saw pattern, pretty sure there are couple at least lessers, a huffman, and maybe another non-lesser or two... But those are just guesses, of course :D It is pretty cool to make out pattern in the egg though.

Cool. :D

Yeah, this was the first time I was able to see pattern while candling the eggs. I tried to guess, based on how translucent they seemed, which ones were Axanthics. I got one right and one wrong. Hee hee.

Ha, I'd imagine it would be kind of tough with normals vs. axanthics. Lessers and normals are probably a bit easier to tell apart, but these will be my first Lesser hatchlings so I could be totally off the mark

So spill it, what sex Axanthic would you like to hold back? Or were you planning on keeping one at all?

P.S. Why no egg pics??? :D
