In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What are you talking about? So, you don't believe in counter current skimmers??? Hey, who needs dentrification ??? New filter media? "Heck, never heard of it...I have been an EXPERT for TEN YEARS !"

Okay, we usually seem to be on the same side of things here on the BOI, so I don't like to be personal, but since you are getting personal, maybe we both can be condescending and jackass's.

I didn't mean to insult your highness, but instead of being a jerk, maybe you can actually answer my questions.

re;
it is kind of funny, to watch trends develop in the herp trade that were done a few decades ago in the fish market...like watching videos on CMT and laughing at their simplicity

I already mentioned skimmers as one of the few technologies worth a crap, new filter media..................BFD, denitrification yes a very important technology that we in the herp industry are just starting to use. so what specifically are all these new trends we are just now using in the herp field, that have been around for decades in the aquarium hobby, that cause you such fits of laughter?

Oh, I never wanted to come of as a "highness"...but really...ten years?

Hey, one word about the reptile trade being waaaaaaayyy behind the aquarium bunch...shall we use the word:
LIGHTING ????

Didn't want to come off as "highness", okay how about "just" condescending, or pompous, arrogant, ?????? let me know how you were meaning to be.

secondly, I said longer than I have been breeding snakes (ten years). Meaning, in the mid nineties I started breeding "commercially" ie. permits, taxes, etc. I have had aquariums and herps for close to 30 years (not counting the goldfish from the fair). I didn't put the info in my post to "trump" your expertise (an unknown quantity when I first replied), but just to let you know I was addressing your initial rude comment (in red, above).

Geez, they still use ancient vapor lamps and crap in the aquarium trade, still given a few of the popularly kept herps may need fancy lighting, I'll give you that one but that's still a far cry from.......

I don't want to turn this into Wes vs. Neil, or end up in Hell, but I couldn't just ignore the rude comments. So I'm done with the :>off_to<: stuff, if you still would like to insult me more, I think there is more appropriate forums.

Just got my 2nd rack from Casey, the first one I've had shipped, and in addition to being the same good quality it was packed and shipped perfectly so not even FedEx could mess it up! I will be picking my 3rd rack up in two weeks, see ya then Casey!

Wow. You are an "expert" aquarist...and you KNOW people who use vapour lamps???? What are of town do you live in? Do they still have gas lamps on the street corners? Does a young gentleman come every evening in a stovepipe hat to light them? Gosh. Do you believe in witches, too????

Where did you miss pc's, and all the different bulbs now available????

Amazing that you two have turned a good guy post about Casey and Darla at Nature's Spirit into your own personal contest of male dominance.
Why don't you start a post in hell about this...then you can each pee in your own corner...or draw a line in the sand or something...it really doesn't belong here.

Well to get things BACK ON TOPIC......

Got my Incubator from Casey yesterday..and its WAY nicer than I could have imagined it would be....

I even got the improved version...with the bigger fan in it....

All I need now is for all my Females to stop being so stingy adn start dropping some Eggs for me

Good guy!

I picked-up two black ten-hole racks with tubs from Casey at the last Taylor show. I couldn't be happier with them. The racks are very well-made and Casey was a pleasure to do business with. I'll just have to order some more!

I purchased a unit from them recently, was a very smooth transaction, communication was quick & polite. The gave me an estimated ship date of a week and then emailed me 2 days later to tell me it's on the way. AWESOME I had this unit in place, in my house in about 4-5 days from ordering, simply the best customer service. When I need more I will be sure to call them, BTW the unit works great and arrived in perfect condition. Can't blive how light they are!!
Many Thanks to SnakeShacks,
Justin

I have done business with Casey on several occasions.. The racks I have are awsome and built to perfection! Not a very noble marketing ploy there Jim, but then again it is to be expected!

Just got rack #3 from Casey today. Had this one shipped instead of picking it up due to a case of "creeping crud" but Casey was very understanding, had emailed me a tracking number before I even got back to Tennessee and it arrived today in perfect packing that the local idiots for Fedex can't even screw up! Now I just have to find a better place for it other than the middle of the living room ;)

Well, in a room next to my other racks would be a much better place, send them to.................... :D

Casey; Great Business Ethics.

Before I purchased an incubator I talk to Casey several times on the phone. He was extremely informative and patient. He inquired exactly what my incubation needs were and he said he could meet them. With the positive interactions I had with Casey during several different phone conversations I decided to order one of his incubators. His product is of good quality and his shipping is very fast. Casey will talk shop to you; he is open to ideas and suggestions. My experience has been very positive. Thanks for your time and have a great day/evening.

Best Regards,

Casey and Darla are way up there on my list of "Good Guys"!!

I needed an incubator but my budget was pretty dismal. I had been buying crickets from them for quite awhile and made an inquiry while placing my cricket order as to whether they had an incubator in my price range. I was hoping for a used one or something smaller then what they sell on their site. They came thru for me in a big way. I now have a great 5 shelf incubator sitting in my bearded dragons room filled with silkworm eggs and awaiting future dragon eggs. They even braved a snowstorm to get it to the Taylor Reptile show in Michigan so I wouldn't have to pay shipping! Now thats customer service!

THANKS CASEY and DARLA!!!!!

Got my 3rd rack from Casey yesterday, and STILL a very satisfied customer. I will continue to purchase from Natures Spirit and look forward to the day I have need of one of their incubators. Thanks again Casey!!!

I'm still waiting on my woma to drop her clutch (could be today or tomorrow) so I haven't incubated anything in it yet. However, I've had it set up since I received it and it's been holding perfect temps.

Ok, my first clutch that I've incubated in my Natures Spirit incubator is hatching right now so I'm back to give a testimonial....
It rocks! It holds perfect temps and I love being able to check on my eggs by just looking through the clear incubator door. I saw this little guy peeking out at me when I looked in tonight.

Thanks again Casey!
