Need opinions on a bad deal with Tim Bowles of Arboreals of the Rainforest!!!

Thanks for staying away from the attack! It is greatly appreciated. I was looking at head markings of the snake. Tim sent pictures of the left side. Matt only posts pictures of the right side of the head. I was trying to find scale patterns that I could compare with.. since photoshop and other similar programs could very easily duplicate color patterns. (I have a good editing program that does very nice zoom work so I could see the patterns). I could not verify the patterns were the same since I could not find the same sides of the head to compare with.

I hate to post this but you have just contradicted yourself in your last post. Just yesterday you posted that you were sent pictures by Tim and now your saying you were not sent them. To be honest I have kept from any attacks against you but you really do seem to be doing everything you can to counter anything others are posting about the snake. Had the snake been a different snake than what Tim sent out he would have been on here Blasting about that but he never once denied that was the same snake. He also never denied sending it in that condition. You are the one that should be reading what your posting as everyone else is. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you personally but I can not understand why you (or anyone for that matter) would try and defend, help, or anything with someone that would send out an animal in the condition of the one that Tim sent to Matt.

You have been mysteriously quiet since this blunder.....very uncharacteristic of you. Post the pictures you say 'Tim sent' and we can compare. If there are 'no pictures' as you also put it.....please explain to everyone here why you would say 'Tim sent pictures of the left side' and then 'I have been sent no pictures'.

What happened to original ETB?

What ever happened to the original New Locale ETB that started this post? This was the one that had all the crazy pictures showing the deformed skin and body allegedly from the hydration injections. I've read a couple of pages of this thread but don't have the time to read all 140+ pages. Is the animal alive?

Even though it is alot of pages to read you really should read them all to get ALL the information. But as a quick recap, she ended up having paramyxo virus and had to be euthanized. Matt filed suit against Tim but it was dismissed as Florida said Matt has to file in Ohio in order to pursue Tim on this situation. There is alot of valuable information in the thread that everyone should be aware of specially when dealing with Mr. Bowles.

Thanks for the recap. Threads like these make me start feeling paranoid about who I do business with and who I consider to be "friends".

After what I have been through in the last year with a few people you probably should be paranoid. Look at the problems that people want opinions on right here on this board. It's amazing what some will do just to get someone elses money. I just had another deal that went bad and I should have known better because I was warned by many....but I am one of the trusting and good guys so I slipped a little and it cost me....again. But this clown knows what he gets now. I know the last couple of episodes have entirely made me change the way I do business and with whom. I mean there are certain people that have been mentioned on the BOI and by word of mouth that I would personally never do business with.....and not because of the animals but just seeing their attitudes and the way they treat others and the lies they are caught in.....it's just rediculous. When I had my court appearance I heard some pretty interesting things and couldn't have ever come up........oh well enough has been said on that one. Anyway guys and gals....be very careful who you do business with this year and investigate them thoroughly first, that way you may avoid certain catastrophes! Happr New Year!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it would only be considered 'smuggling' if the animals crossed the brazil/suriname border. It is NOT illegal to export ANY corallus caninus from suriname to the united states. Are you accusing Matt of collecting patternless emeralds in brazil and transporting them accross the border to suriname for legal export? I didn't think so. Also, are you accusing Matt of knowing the animal he sold to you was infected with a virus, as is the case with you selling it back to him? It seems that someone with your experience should know the risks associated with the purchase of freshly imported animals. Problems don't often surface with these types of animals until many months later and it would seem a stretch to assume otherwise. You're a rotten apple for selling this 'known' infected animal back to Matt under the guise that he knew it was infected when he sold it to you. We all know this is BS and no amount of legal hot air will convince us otherwise.

Let's put this silly little virus issue aside for a moment and even pretend it didn't exhist...

What about the condition of the snake upon arrival to Matt's house? The thing was obviously injected in an effort to either:

A) Kill or purposely cause harm to the snake
or
B) Try to compensate for the debilatated state the animal was in by injecting it with fluids.

Even if the snake wasn't paramyxio positive are you forgetting that the snake arrived in horrible condition and that as a vendor you are responsiblefor delivering a healthy animal to your customers? Didn't it state this as one of your "guarantees" on your now defunct website? I won't even get into the ethical issues surrounding this one or the thread can go for another 130 pages.

Tim, all of this would have been a non-issue if you just would have owned up to the responsibility of messing up and done something to make it better.

What is worth all of this?
