In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Need some advice on a situation involving Alea Rodriguez.

Since you chose to include your infraction, I'll respond as a moderator.
As long as my legal last name is in the name section does that even matter and needed to be brought up?
Considering that your own screen shots show the name Elexis Ortiz, yes, I felt it was worth acknowledging that question. I don't make a point of asking people randomly if the name on their account is accurate...but when people post things that bring that into question, I'll ask. You're no different than any other member here IN THAT REGARD.
You already gave me an infraction for something I had no idea was even a rule and never even responded to my message about it.
Yes, I did. You turned your "general inquiry" into a BOI matter when you identified the other party. At that point, the thread was no longer generic - it was about a specific person. As far as not responding to your PM - believe it or not, I sometimes choose not to cater to whining. You don't think it was fair - I get it ...but so what? Were you punished in any way? Was your ability to use this site compromised in any way? No. An infraction is nothing more than an official warning...a means of letting members know that one of their posts broke a rule. (so you're upset that I let you know instead of just letting you know)

<moderator hat removed, and placed in drawer - out of sight>

To swing this back around to the topic of the thread, you were the one that posted repeated comments about Maela/Alea abandoning her animals so stop having tantrums because people reference your suggestions that you could just keep them. This entire thread seems like a cry for validation...I'll try to help.
Elexis, you were such a good friend to offer to take care of her animals. It really shows how great a person you really are that you helped her like that, instead of turning your back on her the way most people would have. You are an inspiration to all of us.
You're right, btw, that she comes off as an ungrateful :censored: by not appreciating your efforts. We know that you don't want her snakes, and not just because you've said it (like) 200 times in this thread - you're just better than that. She abandoned them. She abandoned them. She abandoned them. You'd ship them back if it wasn't so cold. If she had cages. If she'd only dealt with her issues, and relieved you of this burden. Did I mention that it was too cold? And, well, because you don't want to ship them because you're attached to them, and you are doing a better job of taking care of them than she could - but that doesn't really fit, so never mind.
Those other people - the ones posting in the thread - they don't understand. They must not be reading your posts. If they did, they would realize that you're right. You're the injured party. You're the one selflessly taking care of a friend's snakes without asking anything in return. Well, until now, but you deserve to be paid for your time, effort, and supplies...after all, you're doing this as a friend. Did I mention that she should pay you before you return the snakes? I should have. I mean, you deserve to apply whatever charge you think is fair, right? She should pay because all you wanted was to know what was going on. Sorry, I got distracted for a second. Whatever - that Maela/Alea chick needs to just get over herself. You send those snakes back whenever you think it's right to do so. You're so awesome. Squeeeeeeeeee

Admittedly, I threw up in my mouth a little while typing that; but I hope the sincerity of the words shines through so everybody will understand.

Something that doesn't quite add up to me, you can't block someone, unblock, block again, unblock, and block again. After blocking someone, you have to wait 3 days. There are also chunks of this conversation missing. And the fact that you left where you were talking about her personal life and then posted this blows my mind.

Another thing I would like to put out there, you claimed a few comments back about animals being very small for their age...who has had the for the past 9 months? Hmmm.

I honestly couldn't ready past the 3rd page. The whole point of this page is for business. Not for you to come and whine about something and try to justify what looks like you trying to keep these animals. Smh. It's like being in highschool where the one person just has to post the drama on social media.

As of this summer, if you blocked someone and then unblocked them, you would have to wait 3 days before you could block them again.

When Elexis got the snakes last April they had just come from a rather nasty abuse/neglect situation caused by the first person to take in Alea's animals. Most of these snakes are BCI and one is a BRB. You can't just throw tons of food at them in an effort to catch them up to their correctly-kept peers, they have slow metabolisms and have to be brought back up to weight slowly and carefully.

Elexis's inter-personal skills may need work, but I have no doubt that her husbandry is solid, and any animal for which she's responsible will receive the best of care.

But I am not here to argue anything. The point is, she obviously was confused with what this forum was for. And I'm leaving it at that.

I had a stroke laughing at this. Mr. Moore this is why I like you.
LMAO

As it has been said before; you are damn good at playing the professional victim, Elexis. You both got butt-hurt and instead of letting things die down, you both jumped each others rear and chewed it to bits. That's not mature or "professional" of either party involved.

Facebook drama should have stayed on Facebook. There is nothing business related in this WHOLE thread! You took her snakes in for her so she could get set; great, good for you and her. Where is there anything business related? Other than the fact that you're now trying to make her pay for food you've provided for the animals, (after things went south) when it wasn't agreed upon in the first place, (which means you're trying to retroact things which is ridiculous!) If you want to compare yourself to Mr. Kruger, then that's your problem. He's in the wrong for his shenanigans too.

Yes we know; you won't ship in the cold. I'm not asking you to, (and there are SEVERAL others who have said the same.) Ship them in the spring, (Or give them to Herps Alive! and let them deal with Alea from now on.) But it's not YOUR responsibility to make sure she has cages for those snakes. They are her property/animals and therefore her responsibility to make sure she has adequate care and housing for them. So either hold on to those snakes until it's warm enough to ship out, or let Herps Alive! take them over (like Alea has already said she wants.) Q

uit playing like the world's against you just because we don't agree with everything. You asked everyone for their opinion, and when we don't give you the opinion you want, you act like a child. You're 26 years old, act like it. We're all adults, and if you want to be an adult and ask others for opinions, then you better be mature enough to deal with the opinions you get. If not, that's not our problem. You were advised several times to back away from the keyboard and let your emotions settle down, but you kept on. Until finally you announced, "I'm done." (like you always do...)

Thank you for taking that completely out of context and using it against me. I'm done here.

I'm sorry, but that sounds like something my 8 year old says when she doesn't get her way, and she gets a time-out for that. (Which means she gets to go by herself until she's calmed down enough to express herself in a better manner.) I would expect that at 26 years old, you would know how to just walk away and keep your temper. But I guess not. When you learn to act like an adult, maybe you'll get treated like one. Until such time you enjoy your pity wagon that you're on. The rest of us will ride the mature train to logic and reason, and hopefully you'll catch up at the next station.

None were underweight and she only had them I think 2 months. They were not fed correctly but none under weight.
